1. Overall experience: Rating 4 All good, everyone very nice to me, staff is very inclusive. They felt like family. 2. Cleanliness of the facility. Rating 4 I think they do a good job of keeping the place clean. The housekeepers do a pretty good job of cleaning the residents rooms to. 3. Friendliness Rating 5 Many of the residents went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They all, at some point, ate dinner with me so I could get to know them. I was impressed. 4. Quality of care Rating 4 The quality of care as I know it is pretty good, but I am an independent resident. There wasn't much available when I first got here, but more things are being added. 5. Administrative Staff Rating 5 Staff is great. They are very friendly, helpful, and inclusive. They make me feel like I belong here. 6. Food Rating 3 The food on many days is very good, but it is not consistently good. I am not sure what the answer is, but I know they care and are trying to address it. I eat every day, so it is not that bad. 7. Activities Rating 5 I think our staff do a fabulous job of making sure we have interesting things to do. We have loads of fun. There are plenty of choices from solving puzzles to chair volleyball or word games and sometimes dancing and Happy Hour. Value for the Money Rating 5 I think comparing them to what others offer, they are awesome.

We have felt comfortable with the facility and staff. Mom receives attentive care. They allow Mom to sleep in and miss breakfast when she wants to. They have been honest with changes they see in her and help to direct us in solutions. She has not been happy with the food. There are many activities to participate in.

My rating on activities is I wish they would stop by and encourage them to do an activity. They need to be pushed a little. The only other things would be that they knew my aunt was in a wheelchair so making sure she was in a handicap accessible unit would have been nice. They have been accommodating and making changes slowly but would have but nice upfront. Only other item is transportation to/from appointments are only available a few days a week. Maybe this is common but can make scheduling a challenge at times.

The Barrington is a really good place for my mother. It is one of the best values in the area. I don't worry about my mom at all. But they could get better in some of the support areas. Like the dining experience. It is difficult to cook for so many, but fresh fruits and vegetables would go a long way. And the schedule for the van service is very narrow. But overall, we like the Barrington.

I would recommend Chesterwood Senior Living to other families. The move in was fine. Staff, for the most part, are very friendly and kind. I have not had much interaction with either housekeeping or maintenance, though they were very responsive and helpful.

My parents picked it, and it's close to family. Not a lot of communication with the agency.I would recommend, but I just wish they had more planned activities outside the facilities.

The nurse on duty could be better about communicating when needed to go to the hospital as on occasion our loved one has been sent unnecessarily and medication schedule when needed is not always followed. Our loved will not participate in activities so we can't comment on that. Overall we are satisfied as my mother can be hard to deal with at times. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Barrington of Fort Thomas to other families.

My mother has enjoyed Chesterwood Village. It's been a good place for her. She's comfortable there and has made friends that she gets along with well. They all dine together and have conversations. The only negative aspect would be the meals and dining. The quality and taste of the food could be improved- especially chicken, which they serve often. They also have a problem having enough people for serving.

My parents liked it at Barrington. The staff are super friendly and nice. The high price was a big deal and stressful to us. Also my dad has dementia, so it wasn't working out for him to stay. Even though It didn't work out for our personal circumstances, overall we really liked it.

I love having my parents at the Barrington - it's really nice. They adjusted well and like it there. The staff are nice. It's very clean and a cheery atmosphere. Love the food. I would recommend this lovely place for long term care/ assisted living for any family looking for their loved one.

Chesterwood Village is an extremely nice facility. It is bigger so there are a lot of people here and lots of social activities. My loved one is not very social so we felt it was not the right fit for him. For someone who is more social though it would be a great fit, I would go here myself.

We love the way Chesterwood Village is set up, it looks like a little town. We knew our loved one would be happy here, and she loves it. Our loved one really enjoyed the food at first, now it is about average. The rooms are great, they would be a five out of five. However, since our loved one is independent living, they are allowed to go out and go to stores and restaurants, so we are surprised they allow that but do not allow one person to come into the community.

My loved one was in the community during COVID. I think this is a nice community and there are lots of benefits to being there. The food was being delivered to my loved one's room. My loved one had a nice one bedroom apartment. There were some staff that were efficient and on top of things. One of those individuals was the Head Nurse and she was on top of things and she did a good job. [name removed] was good to work with as well.

Nice community, great entrance layout. Apartments are nice, but model we saw had limited closet and storage space.

They love it so far. They say the food is great! We have been very happy with it. It's working out well.

The staff was very friendly and the facility was very clean. Administration provided us complimentary lunch with a variety of choices. Mom and I enjoyed lunch but I thought portions were small. However, when I asked for more chips I was provided additional. The facility was clean. Kevin the administrator was very thorough in addressing our questions and concerns. Mom and I were impressed with the flexibility of services and costs. We were delighted with the size of the apartments and they included washer/dryers unlike other communities we had visited. Pricing is comparable to other facilities we had visited. Grounds and facility appeared to be well kept. However, mom is limited to the size of apartment for she wants to remain on the ground floor to avoid the use of stairs and elevator. Mom and I were happy to hear we did not have to put a deposit or financial review to be considered for residency.

It turned out in the end that my brother needed some more special one on one nursing attention than what Barrington of Fort Thomas provided. I am sure the care services are great for what they are, and they did treat him very well and were very good at what they did, they just needed more attention than what they were licensed for and able to give.

Nice, set up, nice things to do, main street arrangement, might be a match, just question activities that would get her out of her place esp with her low vision.

Our father in law really likes the community. We are very pleased with it just seems like it was the right fit for him. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a senior community. They have every level of care within the community so if you need a higher level you can still stay there.
