I talked to [name removed] and got a wealth of information! We will plan another time for me to visit in person, due to weather. It looks terrific. I've heard good things about the place aslo.

The staff was very accommodating and did what they needed to to help her. The care at the community was good. When we did the initial assessment, there seemed to be a disconnect with what we felt was needed and what the staff was saying they would be able to provide. We felt not enough information was exchanged to accurately gauge her needs. Having mom live in Barrington of Fort Thomas, we felt we were given the extra time we needed to get her ready for her next move to a nursing home. We felt the community was definitely worth the price. It was less expensive than a nursing home would have been. There were lots of activities available, however mom didn't always want to participate. We were very impressed with this community.

I am happy with this community for the excellent care. The staff are nice and always caring. The community is beautiful and I like knowing that she is in a safe and clean community. She is able to take care of personal care here and she likes having everything. The food is outstanding and the excellent variety is available. The staff go out of their way to make sure she is happy. I feel happy knowing that she is in a outstanding community with excellent care.

Mom fell in love with Chesterwood Village. She was excited about the large variety of activities & the level of involvement of the residents. The staff knew the names of the residents and greeted each one. The facility is very clean and offers a lot of natural light throughout. This facility will allow Mom to age in place and only add additional services as they become necessary. I have found the staff very easy to work with. At this time, we have no reservations/concerns about Chesterwood. Mom is moving in!

The people are very friendly and helpful. They really try hard to make your first few weeks enjoyable. It is hard for the new resident to adjust to a new life style. Dad has had a hard time adjusting but it has only been a month. The food is delicious and having a happy hour has been nice. It is very convenient to our home and so we can visit easily and often. Overall it has been wonderful. It is expensive but not horrible compared to others in the area.

We couldn't be happier with how things have turned out at Chesterwood Village, Mom absolutely loves it here! The facility itself is well kept and clean, and has a very relaxed down-to-earth feel to it. They've got all sorts of nice amenities, Mom really enjoys the "main street" area with the theater and ice cream parlor. The staff here is friendly and professional, and they were a big help to our family throughout the whole move-in process. I'd highly recommend them!

My mother is doing wonderful at Barrington of Fort Thomas. I highly recommend them. The overall total experience has been good. The food is a 3 or 4. The price is right.

Dad has been there for a short time now and he is doing great! Everyone has been nice and friendly and the staff are very accommodating! Dad has participated in some activities since moving in although he can't do it all. Barrington throws parties in the dining room area which he enjoys and really likes the food.

We really like it. I think they get a five. The food is fine, he seems to like it. They were very comparable in price, and even less than some others we looked at.

The people there at Barrington of Fort Thomas are simply excellent. They are heads over the other places we have had experience with. The food is simply excellent. They stay on top of all of dads needs, making sure he gets his meds on time every time, and tending to any other needs as they arise. It has been a truly wonderful experience and we are very thankful for Barrington of Fort Thomas!

I'm so happy that we chose The Barrington for my grandmother. She has become calmer and happier since moving here, and this place has become her home. The residents are kind and supportive, and she quickly made friends. The staff clearly love what they do. They are all so patient and kind. The Barrington is a wonderful place,

My family's overall experience was very positive regarding the above facility. The new nursing manager was especially attentive to my mother's issues.

This is my favorite. Memory care was in a separate facillity, but right next door. It seemed like more of an atmosphere of independence than assisted living, even though the care options were there. Beautiful apartments; very spacious

I was recently at Chesterwood Village for 10 days for physical training for my neuropathy issue w/my legs. The facility is first class all the way around. The nurses and entire staff are outstanding. Anything you need they'll get for you. When I got there I could barely walk. After doing physical training w/my therapists twice a day I left walking strong and feeling much more confident in my capabilities. The therapists were amazing and after some preliminary tests during my evaluation, they knew exactly what exercises to focus on to improve my walking and balance. My friends say I look like the old me. One other nice thing is they have smaller gyms all around the facility that you can work out in 24/7 I would highly recommend Chesterwood for Physical Therapy. 1. Overall experience: Rating 4 All good, everyone very nice to me, staff is very inclusive. They felt like family. 2. Cleanliness of the facility. Rating 4 I think they do a good job of keeping the place clean. The housekeepers do a pretty good job of cleaning the residents rooms to. 3. Friendliness Rating 5 Many of the residents went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They all, at some point, ate dinner with me so I could get to know them. I was impressed. 4. Quality of care Rating 4 The quality of care as I know it is pretty good, but I am an independent resident. There wasn't much available when I first got here, but more things are being added. 5. Administrative Staff Rating 5 Staff is great. They are very friendly, helpful, and inclusive. They make me feel like I belong here. 6. Food Rating 3 The food on many days is very good, but it is not consistently good. I am not sure what the answer is, but I know they care and are trying to address it. I eat every day, so it is not that bad. 7. Activities Rating 5 I think our staff do a fabulous job of making sure we have interesting things to do. We have loads of fun. There are plenty of choices from solving puzzles to chair volleyball or word games and sometimes dancing and Happy Hour. Value for the Money Rating 5 I think comparing them to what others offer, they are awesome.

We have felt comfortable with the facility and staff. Mom receives attentive care. They allow Mom to sleep in and miss breakfast when she wants to. They have been honest with changes they see in her and help to direct us in solutions. She has not been happy with the food. There are many activities to participate in.

My rating on activities is I wish they would stop by and encourage them to do an activity. They need to be pushed a little. The only other things would be that they knew my aunt was in a wheelchair so making sure she was in a handicap accessible unit would have been nice. They have been accommodating and making changes slowly but would have but nice upfront. Only other item is transportation to/from appointments are only available a few days a week. Maybe this is common but can make scheduling a challenge at times.

The Barrington is a really good place for my mother. It is one of the best values in the area. I don't worry about my mom at all. But they could get better in some of the support areas. Like the dining experience. It is difficult to cook for so many, but fresh fruits and vegetables would go a long way. And the schedule for the van service is very narrow. But overall, we like the Barrington.

I would recommend Chesterwood Senior Living to other families. The move in was fine. Staff, for the most part, are very friendly and kind. I have not had much interaction with either housekeeping or maintenance, though they were very responsive and helpful.
