It was less expensive here, but not nearly as nice as the place we chose. Bethel Gardens offered both assisted living and memory care in the same basic building with some segregation, and we were looking for memory care only. It wasn’t super clean. It seemed like the people were not really being tended to and were just on their own. They showed us around, but they didn’t really have much to show us. My loved one went with me, and as we were laving she told me "There's no way I’m staying here."

Overall experience (2): We selected this facility because of its convenient location in a pleasant, walkable area close to my home. Unfortunately, the positive aspects ended there. The facility appeared to be significantly understaffed, which impacted the availability and consistency of care. Based on our experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this facility to others. Cleanliness of the facility (4): The common areas and grounds were kept clean. Friendliness (3): I was concerned about the interactions between some staff and residents. My father reported that certain staff members raised their voices toward him and others during meal times, and at times their demeanor felt rude. This behavior negatively impacted his experience and sense of comfort. Quality of care (2): I was concerned with the overall quality of care provided. On some occasions, my father reported not receiving his medication, and I personally observed times when no staff were present aside from maintenance. Staff were often difficult to locate, and several services that were promised—such as laundry and room cleaning—were not performed consistently. Administrative staff (4): The administrative staff were generally pleasant and courteous. However, I had concerns about the consistency of transparency and honesty in communication. Food(1): We were informed that meals would be prepared daily by a cook at the facility. However, the food often appeared to be brought in from outside and was frequently served cold, which did not meet our expectations. Activities (1): The availability of activities was very limited, to the point of being almost non-existent. My father frequently reported feeling bored due to the lack of engagement opportunities. Value for the money (2): This facility was among the more affordable options in my area. However, because several basic services were not consistently provided, I do not feel the cost reflects the value of care received.

I toured this facility and it just wasn't great. It definitely had a more 'nursing home' feel to it. It reminded me of an old motel with one long hallway and maybe 10 rooms. I only saw 2 staff members and there was no interaction between the residents. Our tour guide was friendly. There was nothing wrong with the facility, it just wasn't what we were looking for. I did notice that most of the residents were in wheelchairs.

Very disappointed in Roosevelt Place owner. She comes across as very caring but is very wishy washy. I have moved my husband and may bring charges about an incident happened there.

Bethel Gardens is poorly staff, no security at the front or rear of the facility...All doors are open with no security at the front desk. The staff is unhappy because they're under paid and performing more than one job. The facility is crawling with roaches and no one in the administrative office care. Reports have been reported to the Community Health Department. The rooms are not cleaned and lack maintenance repairs. The food is awful, cold and leftover beans and hot dogs or pizza. No maintenance on call or weekends if there's a maintenance issue after hours. The facility rate well below the average standards. The place should be closed until they make necessary changes. Mainly, extermination, a monitoring system for residents and security at the front door. I rate this one star, if that... DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONE TO THIS PLACE!!!!

They don't have enough staff. My sister has to beg for a shower. Her emergency button has never worked. The place is not cleaned regularly and the urine smell is apparent. Visible roaches. When we complain they get better for a day. Oh and the flooring is coming apart and can be a fall hazard and it's been this way since [date removed].

Don't let the sales director or administrative staff try to sell them. I also wouldn't waste my time It's awful . Awful. Awful . This has nothing to do about one person directly . The entire facility is ran poorly . And my mom wasn't a priority They didn't follow through with the things we signed off on and had every excuse as to why. Poor communication skills too Let the residents sell the people . It's a ghost town . Take an entire tour of the facility even memory care. Get everything in writing . Make sure people taking care of our loved ones speak English or can at least converse.

My father never made it into the facility. I have contacted them for months now trying to get the money back because he never made it there and they have yet to return it. each time I reached out to them, they told me that they are going to contact their boss. Then they gave me an email for the boss. The boss never answered my email.
