What our family likes the most about Parkwood Independent Living community and what has made it such a great experience so far is the staff members working there. We have recommend this community to other families and will continue to do so

Parkwood is a unique senior retirement facility. The staff goes out of their way to watch out for their residents and know each resident by name. Pets are allowed to accompany their owner and the residents enjoy petting and loving on them as if they were their own. Residents care about each otheir and keep up with one aother. Medical facilities surround us and can aide us quickly and Parkwood has a small bus that can take us to our doctors in a 5 mile radius. We have so many wonderful activities you may choose from. Crafts, with someone to help you should you need it, to guest entertainment which is a favorite, to Bible studies and our own Catholic and nondenominational church services on Sunday. Residents are treated to so many weekday and evening activities where snacks are served and The Administration is present should you wish to visit with them. I believe that if you are looking for a new place to live, a plethora of friends, Parkwood is your place. Check us out!

I would like to say that i have a family member in this facility. I am very pleased with the decision i have made. The staff is WONDERFUL. They have been very accommodating and welcoming.. anything that we have needed and ask for they have done it in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend Ventana to anyone that made need an established such as this one.

My older sister decided earlier this year she wanted to sell her home and move to a retirement apartment. Her long time neighbor had moved to Parkwood last year so she wanted to look into possibly moving there. [name removed]took us on a very informative tour of both the one bedroom and 2 bedroom apartment options. My sister opted for the one bedroom and moved into her apartment in April 2023. Her apartment had just been totally cleaned, painted and had new carpeting when she moved in. We were informed they do this each time an apartment is vacated. She is so pleased with her new apartment and all that Parkwood has to offer. She is on the second floor and has so much shade provided by the large trees around her building. She is very pleased with all that Parkwood provides and is so very impressed by how friendly and kind all the staff members are. As her sister I want to say THANK-YOU for making this move so EASY for my sister.

My mother in law has been living at Parkwood Independent Living for over a year and she is so happy there. The food is amazing and the personal attention that she receives is incredible. She really loves Parkwood! Concerning the activities, I think they are excellent. They post the daily activities in the elevator . But my mother in law does not participate in them. She's just a real loner and sticks to herself mostly.

We have nothing to say but good things about Parkway Place. We would recommend them to anyone looking. I would tell others that all of the staff are exceptional. Because they are part of the Buckner group, they have a Christian mindset, and philosophy.

The friendliness of the staff should get 5+ stars. The staff is fantastic. The residents of the facility are all quite friendly. We pay for our meals, but they are very inexpensive. My wife and I really enjoy it here and highly recommend Baptist Retirement Community to other families based on the experience we have had so far

The management and staff are very attentive and caring. They know residents by their name. They are in a residential area and with lots of trees and green space on the property. They have daily activities to keep your brain focused and your body active. All in all I found the facility, management and staff to be professional and effective.

My loved one is in the independent living area. The people are really friendly, and so are all the workers. I think they are doing a great job. I would definitely recommend this community to others families.

I really liked this place because it is like your apartment but you are within a community, it does not feel like a institution were you walk down the hall to find your room, you still have the safety of the community but also your independence. Everyone in the community is super friendly. I love all the trees they have surrounded the community complex.

I love Parkwood for many reasons; the trees, green space, open air halls and the best staff ever! We have good food and all kinds of activities you can take advantage of, or not, if you prefer. It's a very comfortable place, many wonderful people. This is my forever home.

This facility is the best place around. My mother-in-law is very happy there! They have so many activities from cake decorating to bingo. She was hesitant to participate at first. But now, sometimes when we go visit we can't even find her because she's out doing her activities. She truly loves and enjoys them. The meals are ok, she says they're a hit or miss. But we're able to go get her and take her out to eat often, so it works out. She also has a little personal kitchen area where she can make things for herself if she wants to. They do offer housekeeping and laundry, but she's pretty independent and likes to mostly do those things on her own. Periodically, we do request that they do a deep clean for her, which they willingly do and they do a great job. The staff is great and very helpful. I would definitely recommend The Stayton!

My sister and I knew we needed to have my mom move to a place closer to family. When researching other facilities in the area, Parkwood quickly became the front-runner. I had the privilege of speaking with [name removed] who was the first person to take the time to understand my mom's needs and was great through the entire decision making process. Our mom has been a resident since December and it has been a life saver. She loves her unit and everything is so well maintained. She loves that her home is cleaned once a week and raves about the food and being able to get her hair done. We have watched our very shy mom come out of her shell and meet new people and participate in activities. Every week she tells us how happy she is living at Parkwood. I am not exaggerating when I say that we found the ideal place for our mom. The people at Parkwood genuinely care about the residents and we know that she is happy there.

It appears my sister is very happy there. Nice community - Everyone is really nice and welcoming. Common areas are very inviting especially the library. Lots of activities too!

We toured Buckner Villas and it was a very pretty place. The community was well done and well cared for. The staff and administration were also very nice. Although we had a great tour experience and first impression; we chose another community because Buckner did not fit into our budget.

Parkwood Retirement is a great place! I'm so happy we moved my family member in there. I can't speak highly enough for it. It's pretty close to full all the time, and I can see why. The people who live there are so friendly. The staff is just wonderful. They're really willing to go out of their way to help my family member have a great stay there. The apartment has washer/dryer hookups, which she's very happy about. And her stuff fits pretty well. She has a nice balcony, and there are a lot of big trees in the community. It's located very close to doctors and hospitals. It's a really nice place, and she's very happy there.
