Brookdale

Everyone is so friendly, show genuine care and concern, and are very accessible. They listen and are responsive. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Monroe to help other families looking.

Everyone I have had contact with has been courteous and helpful. My Mom also says everyone is nice and sweet and she is well taken care of. The activities in the Memory Care wing are designed to keep her and thinking and occupied.

We have been here for three years. Sadly, there are a couple of Residents determined to be unhappy - and complain ad nauseum! That's their problem! We still love our apartment, and if we have any problems someone from Maintenance arrives within the hour - You get the feeling EVERYONE wants you to be comfortable. Our Concierge personnel are amazing! Doing so much for so many Residents boggles the mind. We can be as active and involved as we like, and are encouraged to take part in so many different things. Concerts, parties, day and overnight trips, a huge variety of crafts - our Activities personnel go above and beyond every single day. They also provide transportation locally for a nominal price. The food is like everywhere - we have our favorites and some things we don't enjoy. Overall, the cuisine is excellent - they try hard to please us - WaitStaff, fresh napkins and tablecloths are great. We're very happy living here. .

We toured many facilities but Rose and Cassandra made us feel at home! The facility was clean including the bathrooms… Front desk was friendly and offered us water as it was a HOT day! Highly recommend!

The Brookdale ,Eagan facility is nice, bright with a refreshing feel. The residents rooms are nice and not crowded and I decorated it to my wife’s taste. They sponsor fun and stimulating activities daily and some of the special events border on amazing. The meals I have seen and/or tasted are better than substantial, the lunch I witnessed today looked top notch. The staff I have dealt with have been patient and caring, they’re always ready to share both good news and challenges about my wife, very open and honest. The residents I have met seem to be happy while I’m visiting. Lots of smiles and they are more than happy to visit about their day, family and some have their pets living with them. I could go on about the stimulation that comes with music, games, quiz games, I’ll mention the Llamas I saw recently. I feel blessed that I found this place for myself and my wife, and that they found me.

All have been helpful and easy to work with. My dad sometimes complains about night staff but no one else is around- so who knows. My father is a difficult person to care for - definitely not a warm and fuzzy guy. But a few have won him over and they still give him great care despite his attitude. There's a good feeling when you walk into the building. Food kinda goes through phases that seem associated with staff turnover. My dad received a burned grilled cheese one night. Why would you even give that to someone? Nothing but a salad that was basically lettuce one night. My dad hasn't lost his appetite so those times are frustrating. Also- my dad eats in his room. When they pick the tray up- if it wasn't eaten- maybe ask questions. You don't like burnt grilled cheese or you aren't hungry? Can I bring you a snack?

We've been very pleased with Brookdale. We like the staff the most, they are very friendly and have good communication.

Thank you the team at Brookdale Medford. My grandma lived here for two years. I have so much peace of mind knowing that she was in a great place. The team became like family to me and often helped provide support to myself and my family as well. I would recommend to anyone wanting their loved one to actually live a life and not just watch TV.

Overall, we are very satisfied with Brookdale. This is the only facility that I have had experience at, so I can't really compare this to other facilities.

I have had a very good experience with Brookdale. All I want is good quality care for my loved one. Everyone there gives all they can to help the patients. My person is in the memory care. I thought it would be a hard place to visit but find that I enjoy my visit because every time I walk in they have the residents doing something if it’s just singing songs, crafts or having snack time. They make their quality of life better. I’m so glad we chose Brookdale. I think you will be too.

If you are looking for active independent living this is a great place. My 96 year old dad was evaluated at the rehab facility to be in assisted living. He needed more skilled care nursing than what was available - unless we paid an additional fee that was outside of our budget. He was at the end of his life and we just wanted him kept comfortable. The staff are very caring from everyone in food service up to the directors. We had 24 hour phone numbers available by some of the staff. Again the nursing staff are very caring. If your loved one needs more skilled care nursing, this may not be the place for them. Assisted living but still want to eat in the dining room, it’s a really nice place and they make it look like a restaurant with cloth napkins and tablecloths, and decorations.

After ten years of managing Mom's dementia and Dad's old age at home, their needs became too great, even with external support. We decided to give Brookdale an opportunity to help us and our parents. Mom is currently in Memory Care where Shewanesh manages a full and supportive team of professionals. As Mom's disease progresses, the caregivers have adjusted to meet her ever increasing needs. I am secure in knowing that Mom will be cared for. Dad is currently in Assisted Living. He visits his wife daily and kisses her good night. Dad has made friends with other residents and is offered a monthly calendar full of activities, if he chooses. Dad's needs have increased in the 2+ years that he has lived at Brookdale. If needed, he can seamlessly transition to Memory Care. [name removed] , executive director, has yet to be faced with a problem she couldn't resolve. And we are NOT a problem-free family. I am grateful for her dedication to our family and all the residents.

5 on everything. I feel at ease knowing that my loved one is in Brookdale Murray. Yes I would recommend this community to other families. I also would recommend a place for mom. I only had one week to find a place for my brother. I appreciate your help with that. What a blessing a place for mom is. My brother feels at home in Brookdale and receives all the care that he needs.

After adjusting to her surroundings and settling in at Brookdale she really likes it here. It took awhile to get involved in the activities but now she looks forward to Bingo, yoga & painting. The staff is very nice and accommodating and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

Brookdale Pointe West is a wonderful family friendly residence. I bring my poodle to visit my loved one. (and all the other residents frequently). Thankful for all they do.

Brookdale has good physical facilities. Rooms are sized right for the patient. It is clean and well-maintained. The staff is cooperative and provides excellent follow-up when asked questions or presented with issues. There is adequate staff and they are well qualified for their positions. They are willing to work with families to provide programs for the residents (in the Memory unit) when asked. They demonstrate patience to let the new resident settle in before encouraging involvement.

The only thing that was disappointing was that it was so expensive. But the director and staff were great to work with and it had a wonderful family feel.

The transition was not easy for my mother. She was angry and at times depressed about being there. The entire time the staff was amazing. They were so supportive of her going above and beyond in my opinion to help her get comfortable being there. They would check on her throughout the day if she didn’t want to leave her room. They encouraged her to join the others for meals. And would even go sit with her outside when they saw her there alone Other residents were even involved as well making sure she was informed about activities. They were social and would go up to her and introduce them selves. It has been a little over a month and she likes being there now. She has even started taking a Spanish class. She is rarely in her room now as she is out talking with others and enjoying the social aspects of the facility Everyone of the staff has been so friendly ever time I visit. They are an amazing group of people

Each and everyone clinic staff did a wonderful job. It went smoothly, efficiently and no problems organized very well.
