Brookdale

The staff and facility are focused on supporting and helping the tenants and make sure everyone is looked after and cared for. They have treated my dad very well and he is happy being there! This means the world to us. There was a time period when dad was unhappy with the food and that it was usually cold, not kept hot properly. Then they brought in a new cook, and things seem to be improving. He is happy with the staff and care, so the cold food was the main issue for a while.

My father was unable to live by himself. I found this wonderful place Brookedale that took great care of my father. They kept me informed for any issues that occurred. Staff was Keuring professional and kept things as lighthearted as they could. Entire staff was a pleasure to be with work with for me and my entire family. You can’t go wrong with Brookdale at the colonies.

When I visited Brookdale Charlotte East for the first time, I could tell the residents liked living here and they were well cared for. I walked in when they were pleasantly talking with each other while they were waiting for the dining room to open for dinner.

The quality of care at Brookdale Tanglewood has been outstanding. The staff are attentive and responsive to my father's needs, and they always keep me informed of any changes or concerns. He was falling multiple times a day, every day, at his previous facility and complained to me that he did not feel safe. Since he has been at Brookdale Tanglewood, that has completely changed! I have complete peace of mind knowing my father is receiving such excellent care. [name removed], [name removed] and the rest of the staff have been phenomenal! I would 100% recommend Brookdale to anyone.

I am very grateful for the wonderful care that my mother received while she was at Greendale for rehab after being in the hospital. The facility is very nice (all residents have a private room), and the services are excellent, including physical therapy, speech therapy, and activities available to residents. The staff was attentive and kind. Thanks to [name removed] and to all who were a part of my mother's care.

Move in process due to a number of administrators being ill and absent was not easy. Staff treatment of my mother has been phenomenally loving and kind. I don’t think I could ask for better treatment for her. They are very supportive and thoughtful of her. I’m not sure about the food situation because there’s extra in her fridge but she has not complained. She is very appreciative of them.

The supportive staff is very alert towards residents that need assistance. The offer a variety of programs geared to seniors such as Flex Your Brain and Corn Hole. The Food and Beverage Directory meets regularly with residents to shape the menu.

My uncle spent his final years at Brookdale Durham, and I’ll always be grateful for the love he received there. The staff didn’t just care for him—they *knew* him. They remembered his obsession with banana pudding (they’d sneak him an extra serving! Lol) and how he loved sitting in the courtyard, watching the birds. Even when his memory faded, their patience never did. The people there treat residents like family, not tasks. They’d FaceTime me so I could see his smile. It felt like a warm, lively home. He passed last year, but I still stop by to thank the team. They gave him joy when he needed it most.

When my dad who was diagnosed with terminal cancer finished therapy at a local nursing home I needed to find a place for him to comfortably spend his last days Grayson View was recommended. Moving him in turned out to be the best thing for him. The facility is clean and modern. The rooms are private and homey. Most importantly the people are nice and seem to love the residents like they’re family.

Would definitely recommend this facility. The staff is so friendly. Caring. Knowledgeable. When my family was faced with having to put our loved one there, they facilitated everything and made the transition so smooth.

The experience & decision to place my mother into Memory Care has been so weighty. Interviewing and touring facilities is both time consuming and terrifying in trying to determine which place might be a good fit. Immediately, upon meeting the Business Director, from Brookdale Bend, our fears were set at bay. Her compassion and firsthand experience was over the top & so very much appreciated during such a confusing and distressing time. She was able to provide a plethora of support & information to help us ease into this community. After being a resident for about a month, I believe that Mom is thriving although she is still confused about why she is there. The team at Brookdale Bend have welcomed both Mom and me! (with all my worries) and continue to provide support and guidance. We are so grateful!

The staff was very professional, compassionate, and caring to us and especially mom. They went above and beyond our expectations. The facility was beautiful and clean. Mom at times required some extra attention and the entire staff took care of her needs. I highly recommend Brookdale OP.

I was impressed with the experience and longevity of the staff at facility. They totally understand memory care and what the residents needs are. All staff were very friendly and helpful in transitioning my sister to the facility.

The staff are all amazing, we had some billing issues in the beginning but they corrected them once I pointed it out. The facility is very clean as well.

My mom is very happy there. The staff has all been really great. There was a period of high turnaround, especially in the kitchen, but I think they've got that all figured out now and the bus is very accommodating for my mom's physical therapy and doctors appointments and my mom really enjoys the church service that they offer. I would recommend it to other families who are looking for a good place for their parent or parents.

Staff are all extremely caring and welcoming from the start. There was bed, dresser and wardrobe. We didn't bring any furniture, just family photos. They provided TV. Assistance provided for all needs.

I will tell you this, the first time my husband walked in he said, " WOW, it feels like home." The staff was readily available through the entire move in process. From paperwork on.

Brookdale was first of three referrals and you mentioned you favored it and requested we visit first. In doing so, it was such a delight to find that we no longer pursued the other two. [name removed], saleswoman for facility, went out of her way to find a way for us to live here, without assisted living and we signed the papers next day. So smooth it was as if it were meant to be. Great! Professional, courteous, very knowledgeable with desire to help.

I have lived here since 2021. I have made many friends and have a lot of memories. I encourage everyone to come and visit. We have great activities too! The food is also fantastic so you should come try lunch or dinner. My friends can eat here for $[removed[ . Also, my best friend is [name removed] the driver.

They are very responsive to any concerns. It is a warm place. Better than some I have visited. My dad is as happy as he can be for a place that is not his home. I would recommend Brookdale of Novi to others.
