Bethesda Senior Living Communities

My dad has expressed how nice all the staff member's are. The only thing he isn't happy about is having to now pay $[fee removed] for double portions of food. Apparently this has recently been implemented and he finds this to be too high of a charge.

Walking in, you see smiling faces, and the vibe is positive! Staff take the time to say hello, take a moment to talk to residents even assist them if its needed! Memory Care Unit has changed. New flooring, and smells clean! Some Residents were singing along to church hymns, while others were quietly sitting in the courtyard enjoying nature and the views! Staff were busy tending to individuals while meds were being passed! The Memory Care Director was informative, and knowledgeable. Events were posted and activities listed for the month. Staff was also taking a few of the Residents out of the secured unit to walk the AL side of the community! Great place! Memory care here has a waiting list currently because they are full! But I can see why! Definitely would recommend this community!

Mom really liked the staff and the food. I don't think she did any activities. Her room was very nice. All in all, I would use them again. The facility is very nice. The best thing about Bethesda Gardens is the respite room for one week. Haven't found any place that the minimum stay is that short. Most want 2 weeks or a month. So the one week stay is a real plus....

Easy to work with. Caring and supportive environment. I would highly recommend.

The staff was great with my Mom. The people took great care of her and very sweet to her. She was only there for 6 months and she passed away.

Move in without hesitation. Everyone is exceptional.

I would give it a 5 for everything. I feel like we found a safe place for my uncle to live. If I have to pick something from the list, friendliness. The staff have been great with my uncle. Very kind and caring.

My sister seems to be doing well. She says she likes it there and that is a huge success.

I’d give them high marks on all counts. 4-5. It’s clean and everyone is very helpful and friendly. They get back to me quickly if I ha e a question or concern. And [name removed] is happy there. So participates in several activities. When I sent her the list of these questions she said she would give you a 5 in every category and [name removed] is very happy there. I am grateful.

It is an excellent facility. The food is very good, it's very clean and the staff is attentive and professional. I would recommend it to anyone.

It's been great for my grandmother. I would recommend to others. I think it's a nice welcoming community, super clean and I like that's it's all inclusive. Helps a lot financially. No surprises.

My Mom loves living there. She has a new best friend with one of the ladies, enjoys the activities and said the food is great.

We have been here two & half years now, we are a great family trying to help out whoever is in need of . We were looking for a retirement community & visited quite a few around. But loved this one the most . We were on the waiting list , [name removed] was very helpful sending me emails about the openings & we got the unit of our choice . It is a very quiet place, loving & caring people, office staff & maintenance crew.everyone gets along . Our monthly calendar is full of activities, thanks to our activity director [name removed] who keeps us busy . Excellent bus driver too .[name removed]is a quiet person in the office but she handles her job well . Over all , we both ( my husband & Myself) are very happy about our move here. & enjoying our retired home .

I have never felt a more loving community. When my husband and I moved in we were welcomed with open arms, everyone was so kind. We had the support we needed and then months later, when my husband passed, I received so much love and help from everyone. If you are you are looking for a community, I couldn't recommend a more wonderful and loving group of people, both staff and residents.

Caring, friendly staff. Yes we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

The staff are courteous and respectful. Mom can choose her level of activity and interaction in a safe environment. She seems to be comfortable in her space and appreciates having her companion cat with her.

5 for all categories without any hesitation! Staff is phenomenal. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The building old, but LifeStream maintenance people are diligent to see that needed repairs are made. Apartment sizes are very comfortable, amenities are excellent.

The Gardens at Barry Road has been a true blessing to our family. My dad very difficult to get along with, and we had to remove him from 3 other homes. The Gardens made it work and went out of their way. The last few months of his life, he drank and ate mostly baloney sandwiches and 7up. They kept us well informed of his latest changes or cravings.

Staff is friendly and has good retention. Facility is clean and has activities. I would recommend to others.

Staff sometimes were slow to respond to answer calls from room..but like all places little bit understaffed..but the nurses I did interact with really took a liking to my dad and he wasn't demanding so I think that helped a lot. I was overall pleased with the place. They keep it clean and it did not have a typical nursing home smell.
