Recently visited a friend at Benedictine Living Community St Joseph. It was very clean, no odors and the staff where very friendly and welcoming. I was also able to visit their chapel services while I was there.

Benedictine Living Community St Joseph is not like other senior living communities that I have visited. I like that it doesnt feel or smell like a nursing home. They have a beautiful chapel and their own spiritual care director.

My Aunt and Cousin report that they LOVE the pedicures. We chose this facility because of the location and they were able to find a 2 bedroom unit at a reasonable price.

From what I have seen and experienced personally, I would give Windermere a 5 on items 1 - 7. However, it's difficult to give a high mark for item 8 simply because the cost is beyond what people of modest means could possibly afford.

Friendly, respectful and professional. We would without any reservations recommend Benedictine Living Community to other families based on the experience so far.

Independent living residents have access to 3 meals a day. There is no "meal plan" and they pay only for the meals they eat. The apartments are spacious and inviting, with plenty of storage.

I thought this was the best fit for my dad . It was modern , clean and the people were very friendly.He really enjoys the food and loves that there is a chapel right there for his Catholic mass. He likes not having to go out for doctors appointments all his medical needs are taken care of right there.

There was a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walked in the door. The housing director [name removed] was such a help as we filled out all the paperwork for Carol to transfer to the Benedictine Living Community. The marketing director who met us and gave us a tour was very helpful also. The people are friendly, there are lots of activities. The building is kept in good repair. I loved the fact that physical and occupational therapy is right there on site, so there's no reason for the residence to go out for those things. I highly recommend this living community.

The staff is warm and friendly and always helpful. The wooded grounds are a joy. The building is not new, but always clean and everything works. I do my own cooking, but the menu always has something that sounds good. I will start checking out the dining room soon. There are activities and trips. I couldn't be more pleased.

Both my brother and I highly recommend St. Benedictine. Their rehab care was excellent, and now that my brother is in their assisted living facility he is very happy with both the facility and the staff. -- It is clean and neat and well-kept. -- Each unit has its own washer/dryer -- Medications are kept in a locked cabinet in the kitchen so they don't get mixed up with other folks' in a nursing station somewhere. -- My brother, who hasn't socialized much in the past, is enjoying the activities offered. -- The staff is friendly and helpful and truly concerned on what my brother needs. -- They have an on-staff handyman who will do odd jobs around the apartment (expensive but better than having to hire someone from outside to do the work.) -- There is a connecting hallway to the Mayo hospital next door so he can use his scooter to go to most doctor appointments. Major plus!
