I didn't care for that one. It just wasn't as nice down in that area and they had dog carriages and stuff like that around. It was more money too.

I've had problems with places promising they can provide the care my aunt needs when they can't so I insisted that they meet her and evaluate her. I met with the nurse who was doing the evaluation, we talked, and they wanted her to move in that day. Shortly after moving in she fell again and fractured her hip. They hospital and Greenwich Farms talked and Greenwich Farms said she can't come back because she's not mobile anymore. They never bothered to call me. No one ever said anything. I was told by the social worker at the hospital. I thought that was so unprofessional. It was not right on so many levels. She did have some quality of life there at least. They loved her there.

Honestly, I thought it was dirty. I didn't feel they did a good job in separating the levels of memory care. That's all they are - memory care and they have all levels of memory care grouped together which is not appropriate at times. You have people that have memory issues that are still higher functioning, like my mom. It's very depressing as a family member to go there and see what might be down the road and bringing my children there to visit would have been difficult. It might be a good place, but I, personally, think they should separate the different levels They have wings but instead of separating them by wing they just put all of them together and it really was not clean at all.

Distance is a factor here, it's quite far from my home, Mom would like to be closer. This is not the best fit for our needs at this time. The cottages are similar to her current situation, the assisted lodge is more than she is ready for right now. She falls between, so we will keep looking.

Too dark in lobby and didn't like the out door space but is a lovely place

It was a little bit older of a facility but it was nice.

The biggest disappointment about this community is that they have facilities like a gym, swimming pool and a pub that because most of the residents are not active they do not get used frequently so they are not well maintained. The gym has very little working equipment seems like 2 out of 3 machines are broken. The pool isn't very well taken care of. The pub they show you and it seems like its open any time but residents can only use it Thursday, Friday and Saturday for an hour each day. On the surface they have nice things to look at and do but when you actually look into it they are limited or not working. These facilities just are cared for. It is also a more expensive community each person is paying around $3,500 a month.

Not clear if they have vegetarian options. In -between B's work and home. Would consider paying staff a la carte to car for dog. Great courtyard with garden. Residents in lock-in ward seem happy and can go outdoors. Offered to create custom plan while she is capable to help other residents and do her own laundry, but not sure if she will be capable by the time she agrees or is ordered to move.

Has done day care and respite care here

Facilities would fill the need for assisted living and dementia care. May be too far away from West Hartford. Need to get to Westminister, Doctors and Hair Salon. Not too much space.

Clean, nice country type setting, is equiped to assitis with memory issues. With in range to afford and can add care with price increas if needed

Liked this a lot. The programing didn't seem as dense as some.

Looks like housing units are very tightly clustered giving little privacy or nature views

Very friendly staff. Clean environment. But, all residents have memory loss. This would not be a good fit for my mother. Also, "apartments" were very small...just a bed, bathroom and small closet. It felt very much like a nursing home.

Facility has heavy reconstruction being done so unfair to give it a complete assessment, but tour was good and my Aunt will look at it soon.

Clean, cheerful, bright. The staff were friendly. This is a locked facility and I don't think mom would feel comfortable at this point in time with the locked doors to enter and leave.
