Brookdale Oceanside is a pet friendly community. Transportation is available for the residents. There is a nurse at the community if some care is needed. I got to see the community from the rooms to the entrance. Everything was very clean and organized i thought it was a good place. The guide answered all of my questions fairly well.

My father is doing pretty well here at this community. Overall I'am pleased with all they have done for us. It is a pleasant community, with a good staff. There is always a nurse on site. It is a very beautiful community, everything is very nice and clean. The assisted director and some of the other staff members have been there for over 20 years, which is impressive. I would highly recommend for anyone to go check out this community.

A huge improvement in the last 1 1/2 years under the new executive director, Sasha [Removed]. We have experienced assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. Sasha is a woman of integrity who genuinely cares about the residents, their families and her staff. We have seen a huge improvement in the staff and care. Sasha empowers her staff to take responsibility and perform their jobs well. She has addressed issues, questions and concerns we have had quickly and satisfactorily. The front desk staff is kind and very helpful, the caregivers are kind and the nursing staff is attentive and responsive. Though my mom did not participate in many of the activities, many residents enjoy the daily and varied activities put on by the activities director and team. Overall, this is a well run, loving and safe place for a family member who needs more assistance, help, supervision or care. Our recent experience in skilled nursing was 100% better that in 2012. The staff worked together to provide the best rehab possible for my mom. The staff was unhurried, kind and helpful.

This has been a great choice for Mom and the family. Her care is all we could ask for, andcommunication is excellent. With two large windows, her room is full of light and her view of the courtyard adds to her enjoyment. Our only complaint at this point, is that maintenance did not have everything ready in the room before she moved into it. But, with considerable prompting from my brother, almost all the jobs have been checked off the list. It is disappointing that it has taken two months, and a good deal of pushing from my brother to get things completed. But her daily care is meeting and exceeding our expectations.

This is a nice community, and my friend was doing well at this community. He will be moving out soon due to the fact he does not think he needs the type of care they provide. It is a nice facility with kind people. Everything looked pretty clean and well-kept. He didn't require much care so his experience with the staff was limited, but they were very nice.There are nice activities and good. I would recommend it.

Everything is working out very well for my mother at this community. The transition to the community has been very smooth. She is really happy here and I know she is being cared for very well. They keep the community very nice and clean. The staff has been welcoming and very helpful. This is an excellent community. She is trying new activities. It has been a good experience. So I would recommend it.

My step mother has adjusted very well to this community. We are very satisfied with everything they have done for us. The community looks nice and clean from what I've seen. I haven't had any problems with the staff, they are doing a pretty good job of caring for her. There are many activities for her to choose from. She likes the food, they do serve nice healthy meals. Everything is working out well and I would recommend it.

My first 2 visits were to get more information about their respite care program and meet the staff. They were very friendly and the areas that I saw at the facility were very nice. The problem was that my husband did not enjoy the activities scheduled for the day he attended, although I chose what I thought he would like most and he didn't like the food. Since he has alzheimers, it's hard to put stock on his opinion. The one thing he might have enjoyed would be the golf fest but he said no one mentioned or showed him anything about it. Anyway, it was a disappointment that he didn't want to go anymore.

This is a wonderful facility, dedicated solely to memory care patients. It is clean, beautifully decorated & has a warm feeling to it. You will never feel this is a place that "warehouses" residents. There are many rooms w/different activities & small groups in attendance, all getting attention from caregivers. There is no sense of the large number of residents, but instead a feeling of small cozy groupings. Everyone is cheerful & the residents are catered to, cared for & in a safe, secure environment. The rooms are bright, airy, newly painted, with ample room for each resident's belongings. Bathrooms are clean & sanitary. The caregivers are always some of the most important people in the life of a resident. Vista Gardens employs people who are warm, friendly & caring. They also extensively train employees in how to work with dementia & Alzheimer patients I never thought we'd find a place as nice as Vista Gardens, and the rent is not out of reach and a bargain in comparison to other facilities with a lot less to offer. I sleep a lot easier, knowing Mom is a resident @ Vista Gardens. I have developed relationships with many of the caregivers & other employees, who never seem to mind my calls & answer any questions or concerns right away. I highly recommend Vista Gardens.

They have been very informative and have really kept us in the loop as far as care, services, activities, etc. I am very pleased with the facility so far. They have given us great information.

I think they are very caring they try their best!....Nothing further to comment at this time.

Some of the activities they try to bring in family and include them, which is. The staff is very friendly. They know the resident's name and try to include everyone. Something that could be better is communication.

I toured this community (which was Emeritus at San Dimas at the time) while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

My husband goes there every day and he has to remind them to do things, so that is a little annoying. For example, it takes them a long time for them to take her order and feed her, so I can see how some of the older people get frustrated with that. I don't think one place is better, I just think it depends on how involved the family is.

I am currently living at Brookdale Rancho Mirage and they have been very good. I do not require much in the way of care services but any time I need them they have been there. I grew up in a boarding school and would liken it to that experience in some ways. I was a little discouraged for the first couple of weeks, but I have adjusted and am doing well. They have a good library of books which I really like. The food is not the greatest and could certainly use more variety. It's not bad, but just needs variety.

I didn't like this place at first, but i'm liking it now. It just took some time to transition from my lifestyle. The inside of the facility is very clean. The cleanliness is excellent. Everyone there is nice. The care services are excellent. The level of care is great. The activities are pretty good. Overall, It has been a pretty good experience so far. It just takes some time to transition. I can't rate the value because it's not applicable.

The place clean. The food very good. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The staff met all my husbands needs. Overall, we are happy with the services at Brookdale Yorba Linda. My husband is happy.

It going good my dad likes their were some hiccups with med dispensing and communicated this with the admin and they corrected the issue. The food is good and my dad has met alot of people and overall I have piece of mind that he is being taken care of very well. The staff is nice and the community is clean. I would definately recommend Brookdale Yorba Linda

The staff and facility is great would recommend them. The worst is the doctor's very hard to get a hold of, not available and no communication they are the worst.

Home setting, very warm and friendly, everyone greets you and helps you with what ever your need is. I do feel that they evaluate the condition of your loved one a little higher than they really are to put them in a higher level of care, which each level of care had a higher price. I will be talking to them about this, and so I don't know how to give them a good review over this matter. Other than that I give them a great rating.. they are very caring and give each elderly person as much time as they can.. They have been sold to Brookdale, so it will be nice to see if any changes are made good or bad in the next few months.
