Avamere

It is expensive but we do know that our loved one is getting really good care and is well looked after - it is a really good staff to resident ratio it is like 5 to 1 with 1 rotating staff members. We really like how they involved the memory care folks with the assisted living side for different special events. Our loved one seems to be enjoying the meals and dining service and we would recommend this community to other families based on our experience

My mom is loving it here. This facility is great. Everything has exceeded our expectations. The staff is so friendly and the residents are great. They take very great care of mom here. It's a more down to earth place, which works for her type of living and lifestyle in general. I would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

Avamere at Englewood Heights is a very nice place and we are very happy with it. It's been a really good transition for my mother.

Avamere at South Hill was a wonderful facility and could have been a good option. It was just too far away and would have taken too long to get there to visit.

Staffing issues have caused dining room to be closed on many weekends so residents have to have meals delivered to their apartments. This needs to be resolved. Friendly staff and residents, beautiful facilities, and great restaurant. Many food choices at every meal. Like eating at a nice restaurant. Salads are especially good and fresh.

The location and the view is amazing - it overlooks the golf course and the woods. The building is beautiful inside -it looks like a fancy hotel. The staff and the residents are all super friendly, it feels like a big family and we love the atmosphere. My mother in law absolutely loves it here. They were very accommodating with move in dates and helpful with anything we needed. They are amazing and we have been so impressed. They decorated her hallway and her room for her birthday and when she moved in there was a bouquet of flowers waiting for her. There are tons of activities provided and they welcome the family to come to anything. We have been very happy with our experience at Avamere at Seaside.

I would feel comfortable putting any relative or loved one there.

Every time we are able to visit the cleanliness of the entire community is consistent, it is always really well kept. We were able to have a lunch there one time with our loved one and by that experience the meals seemed good - he indicates to us that he enjoys the meals. They do seem to have a good amount of daily scheduled activities for the residents to participate in. The staff are confident in their care but we really appreciate how they know every single residents by name, and speak to them when passing them in hallways. They also remember our names when we come to visit. It is expensive but compared to others in the community and what they offer the value seems appropriate.

I'm more happier here than anywhere I've ever been and I plan on staying here the rest of my life! The staff are so nice to me and they treat me so good. The activities are pretty fun too. They have bingo, BBQs, and a party for everyone's birthday. It's like one continuous party here all the time, they keep us busy and entertained. My apartment is the perfect space for me. I have a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and a kitchen with a big fridge that makes ice. I'm really happy here!

Our tour guide was friendly and informative, saw all the options for housing and all the tremendous amenities. Our lunch following was tasty and attractive. The staff that we met were friendly and welcoming

This was a nice community but my loved one liked another community and we went with it.

This is a great place to go. The staff provides wonderful communication with the family and residents. They even call with any questions they may have. They even were able to make the transition of my loved one an easy one into the community.

Our family had a virtual tour and the lady who gave the tour was fantastic. Even on the virtual tour we could see her speaking to residents as we were shown the community which we really appreciated. A very friendly atmosphere but at the time they only had a one bedroom.

We chose Avamere because we were referred by a friend from church, they had a nice little space off of the dining room where you can have little get togethers, and the facility itself is very newly remodeled and clean. They have a menu with choices, if the residents do not want what is being served they are able to make them something else. Her room is very nice and spacious, she has got a kitchenette and a private bathroom. I really like the staff they are wonderful. The director [name removed] is awesome and she is there even on her days off and always reachable. They have plenty of activities provided for residents to participate in. They always have med techs who are on staff to give people their medicine or if people need any type of help. Residents get necklaces and if they need help they push that and someone comes to assist them. They do have transportation available if needed, the busses take the residents to doctors appointments, grocery shopping, or just little fun trips. Mom is very happy here and I would highly recommend them to others who are looking.

All the staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. Lots of unique and fun activities. The apartments are large and attractive. The people that live here are friendly and happy.

This community was okay it just seemed to be understaffed.

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. They have a warm, and welcoming environment for residents. The staff are wonderful to work with and accommodating for the residents.

Two months ago they got a new head coordinator and she is terrific.They do activities like bingo everyday and I think that they could add a few more versatile activities for everyone. I would recommend this community based off of what you want and can afford. Value wise this was the best, this community is clean and you feel comfortable walking around feeling welcomed.

This is the perfect place for my loved one. The staff all get to know each resident and take great care of them.. The residents consider all community. The employees are patient, kind, and great at what they do. It seems like they enjoy what they do and they seem happy here.
