Avalon House on Gerard Court

[name removed] has cared for my mom for just over two years. She has been kind and caring and has attended to her needs superbly. She gives me frequent updates on her health and sends pictures when they are doing fun activities. She's taking my mom out for many walks on a sunny day. When my mom is up in the middle of the night, and everyone else is asleep, [name removed] is with her. I feel, very confident that my mom is in great hands when I am not there and [name removed] is.

This facility is really good. I'd like to see more physical attention, my loved one is in a wheelchair now. She has physical therapy, but more physical activity outside of that would surely help her. Communication with the family is good. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. They do a good job, I think. Housekeeping is frequent and they do a good job with that also. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

The price is of this place is just right. This community is in a very nice residential area. The staff seem like they live there and stay there constantly they get to know the residents really well.

I only visited one other place, but I feel like Avalon House has a great value for the money. They give you an exact amount you are expected to pay each month rather than add on fees like the others we looked at. I would recommend to others looking.

It was good, but I was expecting more showing on a virtual tour vs. talking. It ended up just being a discussion with one staff member. It was a great discussion though. It gave me enough information to know that I would consider them if I decided on long term care vs. home care.. They seemed to have a very low patient to caregiver ratio. It seemed like they were set up to make sure that the person being cared for would have continuous care. I just wish I could have seen more of the facility on the tour.

The residence received great personal attention, and the staff is very professional and caring. Communication between the staff and our family is great and they keep us well informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others.

I loved everything about Avalon House, from the owner and staff, to the houses, and the caregivers. The way they respect and treat people is excellent. After months of searching various other houses and communities, we finally picked Avalon House for our loved one, and it is perfect. Unfortunately, our loved one was only there a week before she passed, but while she was there, her experience was wonderful.

My husband is doing well since his move to this community. It is a lovely community with kind people. They do a great job with keeping everything well-kept. They are taking very good care of him, and his needs. It has been a lovely experience, and we are pleased.

Very happy with Avalon House. A nce alternative to assisted living. I really liked the home environment and that they specialize in memory care.

We had delivered a piece of equipment to the facility and I realized it was not acceptable to have it there. I do wish I would have known this prior to moving the patient in. Other that that everything at Avalon House On Oakview Drive has been pretty good.

We don't have much experience with these sorts of places, but so far we have been very impressed with Avalon House. It is a nice looking place, the people are friendly, and they seem to be taking good care of my loved one.

I think the move-in process could be a little bit more streamlined, as the process was a little bit unorganized. It would have been helpful if they had an organized process to get us acclimated and let us know what we were facing and what to expect. The owner there is really great though, and keeps us informed and is quick to respond any time we have any questions. Overall it has been a very positive experience. So far so good.

I think they are doing well. It's immaculate, even though the home itself is older, but they keep it very clean. The food is good. The staff is really good, they are pretty attentive. It's pretty amazing how far they go to keep the residents occupied. I think they are a pretty good value. The only concern I have had was with another resident, and they handled that very well, providing one on one care, and redirecting in a respectful, upbeat way. As it turns out there was no need for concern.

Great location, very nice accommodations, nice staff, good price - I could stop looking right here!
