Arbor House

We have had a wonderful experience with Arbor House. They made my mother in law’s transition smooth and easy. The staff are caring, patient and warm. They treat her and us like family! It’s so important to have employees who are trained in dementia and care of the elderly rather than just paid caregivers. We love everyone there and are so thankful for the care and compassion they provide! Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a home away from home for their loved ones.

Arbor House is such a blessing to my family! The staff gave my mother the option for assisted living but they KNEW she was really needing memory care. They are so knowledgeable about what is needed and how to keep your loved one happy and comfortable. The staff is so friendly and loving to each resident, I’ve seen it with my own eyes! I went to 4 other facilities in my area and this was by far the best- it checked all my boxes for quality of life for my mother. I couldn’t have been happier and my mother loves her friends and the activities she does here. They are angels on earth..

We were blessed to find The Arbor House. All of the staff members greet everyone, residents and visitors alike, with a smile; they are kind and gentle with my mom. Her apartment offers her both privacy and a quick response when she requires assistance. The food is great and the dining room and common areas are lovely. The grounds are well-kept. A variety of activities are available to residents. I especially appreciate their efforts to increase care level as needed rather than force a move to another facility.

We picked this facility, because it's a smaller community and close to other family. The value for the money is really good. The staff is phenomenal. They have done a great job. We are happy and very pleased. I would recommend to other families.

My loved one and family have had a wonderful experience with Arbor House. The staff are caring, kind, and helpful. Everyone is friendly here. The food is good for the residents. There are lots of activities for the residents to stay engage and socialize with each other. The community is a smaller place, and gives a feeling of personal touch to everything they do. We highly recommend the community to others.

It's a great community and a great experience even at the end of life. We picked this community, because it was closest to where my wife & I lived, and was impressed on the tour. I would recommend to other families.

My parents are residents at Southern Plaza Assisted Living and Memory Care. The facility is always clean and always smells good! The staff is very friendly and was extremely helpful to get my mom comfortable with her surroundings and the daily schedule of activities! I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I really like the homey feel, small number of residents. The facility feels like a big house, not an institution. The apartments have a lot of room to move in living and bedroom furniture and make it feel like home. The staff are relentlessly nice to my loved one. She can't help but like them back and feel taken care of. Housekeeping is very thorough. I really appreciate that staff comes and gets my loved one for every meal so she doesn't fail to eat due to lack of interest or forgetting. I would absolutely recommend this facility to family and friends.

My only issue was staffing in numbers but I understand that, these days, getting people to work and keeping them...but the staff they had was great.

Based on our experience, I would recommend Arbor House of Waco to other families looking.

I think Southern Plaza was just too large for our loved one, she would have gotten lost. There are elevators to get to meals and I could not see her doing that. It is 3 stories and they have all levels of care. The lady was super helpful with giving us information about the VA. This is a favored facility in our area.

It's great - my family member loves it there. They've been very nice and treat her respectfully. She likes the people that she's met. We love the apartment - it's perfect for her. Really the only issue is her water pressure, which she's having a hard time getting them to fix.

We're loving Arbor House of Waco. It feels like home. We have gotten to know the staff and love all of them for the most part. They go out of their way to make the people around them feel good and feel comfortable.

Arbor House of Marble Falls is very clean and they are staffed to provide attention to each resident. I do think for the cost, more help with moving in and out would be better.

We are extemly pleased with the community. The people are very caring and have gone the extra miles to get things done. My loved one is involved in some activities. The facility is a good value but it's expensive. My loved one, ws faced with a difficult situation, and the community made it easier with making my loved one feel comfortable. They are happy.

We chose Southern Plaza because of the kindness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility. They are a Christian based organization as well which was important to us. We knew right away when we walked in that this was the place. The residents here seem very happy which is something that sticks out to us. The apartment sizes are wonderful, she has a large living room and a smaller kitchen which is just what she needed. She has a lot of closet space and a spacious bathroom as well. Overall I would definitely recommend them to others.

I like it here. Everyone is friendly. We have things to do here. The food is pretty good. There is a food menu meeting where residents can voice what they would like to see served to the residents.. Bingo, games, table topics, exercises, devotions, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from.

Our loved one is now at Southern Plaza and it is just a night a day experience compared to the first community our loved one was at. They have truly been wonderful, they have worked with us so well in every aspect. The nurses are kind and very friendly. The staff say hi to us every time we visit, and are constantly keeping us updated with anything regarding our loved one. This is the cleanest place I have ever been, and we would recommend Southern Plaza they are excellent.

We toured Arbor House of Waco and it is an extremely nice facility. We did not choose it just because they had a lot of amenities that my mom was not going to be able to utilize so it would have been more expensive.

It is a great place. My loved ones live in the cottages, and these are more on independent area of the campus. The community has assisted living and memory care on site as well. I would recommend the community for others.
