Anthem Memory Care

I wish I would have found Chelsea Place sooner. They are very well staffed per resident. I believe they had at least two to three staff members per resident. They all could speak English and were extremely happy to work there and make the residents as happy and engaged in activities as possible. The food that was served was always hot when it had to be and very fresh and flavorful. I say this because the other places she was at did not meet any of these standards. Most of the staff at the other facilities could literally not speak English. How can this be possible when these elderly people struggle with hearing and vision already. I can't say enough about Chelsea Place. They were all very professional and extremely kind to my Mom.

They were wonderful to my mom, she was so loved here. The staff at Chelsea prioritizes service to others more than other facilities. She had been in a different home earlier that was terrible. They didn't care for her. Her hygiene was awful. She wasn't eating as she deteriorated rapidly the first place. After a short time in Chelsea, her condition improved. She was much more involved and engaged in a good spirits. She was always clean and well fed. They helped her with her hygiene, dressing - All of her basic needs were met and exceeded .

Based on our experience I would recommend. So far everything has been very good no problems and everyone has been great and easy to work with.

Chisholm Place has awesome staff and the love they show for each client is stellar! I always leave feeling grateful that my dear friend is well cared for and never lonely!

It's really a great place and [name removed] has become quite comfortable here. I'm really grateful for the staff and organization's care of him.I would strongly recommend PP. They've addressed my concerns about his care in a timely and professional manner. And they've allowed me to participate in his care. I feel comfortable that they will take care of him and socialize with him if I'm not available to see him on a given day. [name removed]transition to PP from home has not always been easy but after a year I can say it's working out and he's content.

Everything about Harvester Place in bur ridge is great. My husband is doing fine an is very happy. I am very grateful to everyone there. When you can walk into a place an feel like your home you can't get any better than that. What stood out to us was how much easier is was to get around at this facility. So to me it would be better for my husband. I was more impressed by the workers with the patience new there names very friendly they truly care. Care takers have a hard job. But they make it look so easy. Everyone there goes out of there way to help you if you have any questions. They helped me and my husband. I knew right then an there this was the place for us.

I felt they specialized in Memory Care. They don't do Assisted Living. They are prepared to handle the needs of the resident all the way to hospice. All the staff I met were very caring.

I like the activities the most about the facility and there isn't anything that I like least. I only looked at one other place and Chisholm had a medical lift available if needed later.

The move in went very easy - only thing I understand you can only move in during the week. Staff is so friendly and seem to accommodate my loved one's needs. The front desk is friendly and helpful. Front desk is staffed longer hours than I expected and you don't have to remember any codes - staff clicks you in and out. Good to know they have safety surveillance throughout the facility. Others who have visited our loved one say he seems happy and that they think the facility is friendly and nice. I would like it if they encouraged my loved one, or helped him, to shave more often. Maybe I need to communicate that wish to them. Otherwise, they are wonderful!

I love Harvester Place and so does my mom! I picked it because it was close to me, and I just got a great feeling from [name removed] the director the first time I met her and the rest of her staff!

The staff is now our extended family! These people aren't just employees at Porter Place, they are people who truly care, who love what they do, and it shows. I go at all different times of the day and night, and her room and bathroom is spotless! Mom has changed since she has been here. She is so happy and loves everyone there. They go above and beyond for Mom. The receptionist is one of the ones Mom loves. When she is having a bad day the receptionist [name removed] goes and gets her and Mom thinks she's an employee, with a name badge and everything! They have a chef that creates real meals. Healthy and delicious! Mom eats now! Activities go on all day, everyday!! The residents are all out of their rooms and engaged. I've been to over 10 facilities, and though it was farther than I wanted to be away from Mom, but her care was most important and after numerous conversations with [names removed], I knew this was Mom's forever home.

My loved one was only here for 8 days, but these were my findings! I would like to add that everybody there from the nurses to the CNAs to the admin staff to the maintenance staff and of course Shannon we were absolutely accommodating and sympathetic and professional and extremely kind. The only drawback for me was that GP was an hour away from my home so I could not be with my mother everyday as I was used to.

What our family likes the most about Greenridge Place is the staff focus on memory care up to and including the continuous layout so wanderers never reach a dead end and are easy for staff to observe.

The Willow Springs Alzheimer's Special Care Center community was a good place for Dad. He was only there for about 3 months. It is a well-run place that provided the care he needed. It was also close to my step-mom's house.

My mom doesn't care for the food. Also I wish they would change her diapers more often. They seem to only do when we are there and we ask them to do. She is prone to u.t.'s. As far as activities they don't seem to have many. Even though it shows on activity board Noone does them. I have asked about them but Noone seems to know. The staff is really great, they seem to really care about their patients. It's always clean and nicely decorated for Christmas.

I would highly recommend this facility to others. [Name removed] has been instrumental in my decision making, preparation for moving, and all other issues as they arise. My sister and her husband have been clean, well fed, attended to, and kept safe from falls or any potential injuries. There's open two-way communication, quality staff, and a clean no odor environment. I would suggest a booklet/guide with all information: mail, furniture suggestions, policies etc.

This is by far the best facility for persons with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The staff truly care for the residents and everyone who works there is trained in care of those with dementia. Every resident is addressed by name and hugs are given to those wanting them. The meals are prepared onsite and look appetizing.

I have my Wife in Porter Place for about a year and one half. When I walk out to go home I’m totally relaxed that she will have the best caring people around her! The staff knows everyone by name. Staff has a smile on their faces. I looked at about 6-7 facilities and found Porter Place to be about caring for the residents! This was HUGE. Many of the staff have experienced a family member with dementia. This helps them understand the importance of taking care of the people there who need it. I would Highly recommend PORTER PLACE for your loved one.

We are very happy with our experience at Porter Place in Tinley Park. The facilities are very nice and all the staff and support people at Porter Place are thoughtful and considerate of the needs for our family.

My Mom was given a 30 day notice from her previous memory care facility for her eloping and behaviors. I visited 10 facilities. The absolute only place was Porter Place that convinced me Mom would be ok. [name removed] was truly amazing and didn’t give up on me. After speaking to [name removed] and her listening to my fears, she assured me everything would be ok. So my sister and I decided let’s go for it!! Well, Thank God we did!!!! From the moment we walked in those doors, everyone opened their arms to not only Mom, but to us as well. Every single caregiver here is Exceptional in more ways than one. They tell us how much they Love Mom!! Believe me, I See It!! A month ago seeing My Mom being injected with haldol and being in a coma state, I would have never gotten to see my mom so happy and engaged if it wasn’t for Porter Place!!! If you have a loved one who you love like we love our Mom, then look no further. Mom now has an extended family and she loves them All??
