In our family's experience, Silvergate Fallbrook was NOT "a place for Mom". Our Mom spent 6 years and thousands of dollars a month to feel safe, loved and well cared for. They failed her! When she developed ALZ and was in late stage at 95, they forced us to move her to the Silvergate Suites. The staff and upper management were ill equipped to care for her. In a situation where she should have been treated with dignity and respect, she was instead treated with intolerance and neglect. They could clearly benefit from more advanced training. Please choose your loved ones facility carefully. Do your due diligence! There is so much more to a place than just the appearance.

Second visit for the day. I called ahead of time to inform our tour guide that our arrival time needed to be set to 12:30. When we arrived at 12:26, expecting lunch to be part of our tour, we were told that our guide was at lunch and could we go get lunch and return...we were not impressed so we did not go back. Gave a 2 star rate just because the desk clerk was polite and entry was very clean. That's all I saw.

I had a very disappointing experience at Silvergate San Marcos, although there are aspects that I liked about this facility. I liked that it was a smaller AL facility, giving it more of a family feeling where people knew each other. Most of the caregivers were nice and seemed to genuinely care for everyone. However, management, specifically the administrator is not a very nice person, and we had a bad experience as a result of her insensitivity. At one point, she determined some immediate changes were necessary with my family member, however these changes were not made. When asked why, she covered up their mistake by stating that it was a week long process to make the change. As stated, this was not a change that was requested by me, but was mandated by her. In addition, she made some very rude comments about my family member. She needs to learn how to communicate with compassion during what can be a very difficult time.

My loved one was previously a resident at Silvergate and the experience was terrible. I would not recommend this facility to others.

My parents have lived here 2 years. THE ELEVATOR DOESN'T WORK 60% of the time. They tell me in case of an emergency they'll carry my 300 lb father down stairs. Also, the water goes off weekly. The ac didn't work during the hottest season and they're grossly short staffed. I put my parents in here for peace of mind, having had cancer myself and I've taken them to MORE appointments than I ever did!!! There's no one here to help. Weekends? No staff... fishsticks?! REALLY?! Upon completion of this review, they're still begging me to remove it and threatening my GRIEVING father with eviction over the truth!!!! BTW, don't pay any attention to response from [name removed]! She'll pee on you and tell you it's raining. They've begged me to take down this true review... as my mother died and they're threatening dad, not allowing him to grieve. She literally walked into his room and told him he couldn't leave soon enough for her! Animals. I am paying more but it's worth every penny!

There is lack of professional and trained Caregivers, lack of management at the local and corporate office, food is terrible, food is cooked at independent building transported to the memory care building using microwave. Do not trust this facility,

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY LITTLE ATTENTIVENESS TO THEIR RESIDENTS! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY.DON'T ACT TO [removed] VERY PROPERLY AND CARE VERY LITTLE FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES.HORRIBLE PLACE TO PUT A LOVED ONE! DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU! THE ONLY REASON WHY THEY ARE TOP RATED IS DUE TO THEIR LACK OF REPORTING! IF YOU WANT YOUR LOVED ONE TO BE HAPPY AND LIVE LONGER, SILVERGATE IS NOT THE PLACE!!
