American Senior Communities

It was a very easy transition to move my loved one from an Assisted Living place to Memory Care. There seems to be a lot of activities for her to participate in. The staff that I've talked with have been very concerned and caring. My mother loves the food, which was really important to her. I'm very happy with what we're paying compared to other places we toured and were quoted.

We went with Meadow Lakes because of the convenient location as well as they have a stellar reputation in this area. I have known prior residents who have had great experiences with them. She really enjoys the activities, especially going to play bingo. They have a large variety of apartment sizes to choose from ranging from 700 square feet to 1600 or more. I would recommend to others.

I toured the memory care unit twice. I spent a great deal of time in the common space with residents and they seemed very content and pleasant. Every associate I had the pleasure of talking with was kind and attentive. I was looking for a good place for my 96 year old mother. Sadly she her health has deteriorated so much in only a few months that they felt they could not meet her needs. I appreciate their care and genuine concern. [names removed] put in a lot of time doing a detailed assessment and sorting through not so well organized notes and recorded from her previous memory care facility in Florida. Thank you. We now will begin talking with their LTC facility.

Good community, too far from family.

Our loved one absolutely loves the meals and dining service, and the staff let the residents have small jobs like calling out bingo which makes them feel important. Right away they made our loved one feel comfortable and just went out of their way to make her feel welcomed into the community.

My loved one just did not care for this community. It just did not give her the right feel that she was looking for. The tours were excellent and thorough. The community looked clean its just did not fit my loved one.

The most important thing is that he's happy. And he's very happy there, which is big for us. He has fallen once, and they called me to let me know, which was nice. He loves the food, and right now it's chef prepared. They offer a lot of activities. His apartment is good. It's smaller, which has been an adjustment for him. But he seems to be adjusting okay overall.

She enjoyed the activities with [named removed] & [name removed] and [name removed] always made her day. Special thanks to [name removed] for playing "mail carrier" these past 6 weeks!

From the feedback we have been able to get from our loved one, she has so far no complained about the food and says its good. They do have exercise classes now since most of the residents have been vaccinated. They also have puzzles and movies. They do have a nice courtyard but still have not had their usual concerts or live entertainment come. What we like most about Brownsburg is even though our loved one in cognitively challenged the staff are still getting to know her. They are not only tending to her physical needs, but they are actually taking the time to talk to her and get to know her which has really impressed us.

[name removed] was very knowledgeable and suggested in our search that we ask about staffing to make sure they have enough staff to care for the patients. She has a AL studio apt avail on 2nd floor, its a little larger than most bc of location. It would be about $2,800 w/ level of care from $425-$3000. MC rm $4,500 and includes level of care fee. A companion rm would be $4,000.Full day dining. They keep track of who has eaten. Med. Dir. -[name removed] is a geriatric phys. Involved with HATS. ASC affiliate.

They had lots of activities available for the residents. The staff seemed competent, who genuinely care for my mother-in-law. I would recommend the community to others. The best thing for me was the community connection since I knew some of the staff. The time that my loved one was here was spent during COVID.

Aster Place is always warm welcoming and clean. You are always greeted with a smile. I would highly recommend!

We chose American Village at the time because they were able to accommodate us and put us on the first floor when we needed it quickly. The room sizes are beautiful, she is very happy with it. My mom has also been very happy with the meals and the variety that they provide. I would recommend this community.

Up until COVID the activities were great, we had bingo, exercise classes and happy hour. We have a lovely apartment in Garden Homes, we have a two bedroom, two bath, living room, dining room, kitchen, a patio and a walking area to the marsh where see wildlife. We couldn't be happier. The maintenance is super!

Thank you, [name removed]. You guys went above and beyond to make her short stay at your facility comfortable (particularly after she broke her arm and the hospital wouldn't admit her!), and it's much appreciated by all of us. Take care.

We chose Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living because of the setup and cleanliness of the facility combined with the level of quality of information communication coming from the Meadows, they were very professional and thorough. The room sizes here are appropriate for what you pay, I do believe it is a good value. I have eaten here and heard a lot about it from my dad and I would say it is above average. They have had some turn over in food service so it hasn't been consistent. I do think this is where they could use improvement. I would tell others to not hesitate to ask questions because they are more than willing to help you understaffed about the facility. They are very quality people and it is a quality facility which makes for a good home. The executive director and her team have left no stone unturned to keep her staff and most important her residents safe from COVID. We appreciate everything that they do in that regard.
