The overall care and concern they showed our loved one during their stay really stood out to our family.

Toured here over the holiday weekend. Such a beautifully updated ranch style senior home. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. We are looking for my mom who needs a setting such as this.

My 93-year-old mother-in-law was very impressed with how clean everything was, the wide hallways, the lack of smell, the beautiful assisted living and independent living apartments, the reasonable rates, the available shuttle bus, and the friendliness of the staff.

They even had activities throughout the pandemic. I would recommend the community to others. It is an affordable option. It worked great having another contact with our loved one from a different agency. When the pandemic hit, this caregiver wasn't able to come in and see our loved one. The personal assistant through the community was not the same as what my loved one had experienced in the past with his other caregiver.

My loved one moved in during COVID. We were so worried about the care but it everything that we have asked for!! The staff is great! The Medical Team great! I could not have asked to move to a better community! Every time I walk into the community they always great me with a smile.

I like all the activities and the friendliness of the staff. A great care staff. [name removed] helps me fix my glasses and with my ipad.

They were excellent with my loved one. They delivered the food to the resident's rooms due to the pandemic. I would highly recommend this community to others. The community knew my dad by his first name. They were very genuine with the care they provided. The staff worked well with us.

American House Elmwood is a wonderful facility. They truly care and every staff member will go out of their way to make sure that your loved one is involved and living their best life. I found every staff member to be especially compassionate, understanding and patient with those that need a little more assistance. Additionally, I appreciate that they keep me in the loop with my mom's progress without having to call. I get a text or a phone call every now and then just to share my mom's day with me....I love that about them! I am so thankful that my mom has a safe, caring and meticulously clean place to live. You won't regret your decision if you decide on American House Elwood......I promise!

I would recommend this community. It is quiet, ideal neighborhood, and a good location. The staff works with you in getting resolutions to any concerns.

The care at this community comes from an outside medical team, and the head nurse that works with the medical team gets snippy sometimes. Before COVID the activities were great, and the activities director is fantastic. They used to have singers come in all the time. Now they are trying to still do individual activities with each person, and some group activities where they are spaced apart in the dining room. The only issue we are having with American House is we have been given no options to come in and see our loved one.

You can walk in and it smells good. It is a nice little community. My mother in law loves it. She has friends. The Covid-19 restrictions have been hard on her, she misses her family. They take really good care of the residents. My mother in law likes the food. We don't worry we know she is being taken care of.

American House Dearborn Heights is excellent. My mom is supremely happy here. The property and buildings are clean and well maintained, all the workers are very nice and caring, they take residents on multiple fun bus trips to events monthly, etc. If you are looking for a great spot, this is it.

Liked American House with the exception of no doctors or nurses on site to check on people living there. Basically an apartment complex

[Name removed] gave me a quick tour (as I requested) and I liked the community, the amenities and the room was spacious, clean and updated with fresh paint and new carpet.

Nice facility, not fancy, clean. Friendly staff. Like the studios in the back bldg.

One of the hardest thing that an adult child to, is when to place a parent in assisted living. I gradually began this process in Summer 2016. My mom memory loss was gradual, as the month progress in 2016, moms behavior, incuresty to when and how long I will gone, since I was mom's caregiver. Finally I took a tour given by [name removed] in March. I love the facility due to the services and knowing mom is in a safe place to live. The move final came on [date removed], mom was reluctant to go, with the help from the staff, got mom moved. Recently mom told me she likes where she lives, that is due to the support of each and everyone who works there. Myself I have peace knowing mom is a resident at American House-Elmwood [name removed]

He is very nice, he do above and behind for the residents and the community.

The staff here is outstanding! Her villa was very, very clean and thoroughly ready for Mom's move in day. While we were moving Mom in, the management and custodial staff took the time and came to her villa and introduced themselves and greeting her warmly. That meant so much to Mom and to all of us. In the few weeks that she has been a resident, Mom has needed just a little assistance and has found that everyone is so willing to answer and provide, even the smallest of things, for her. Many friends and family members always ask how she is doing and adjusting. The answer is consistently, "She loves her new place". And she does! My family and I look forward to the great memories we'll make while she is here.
