We couldn't be happier with Legacy at Highwoods Preserve. They have been very accommodating and helpful from the beginning and are attentive to all my Dad's needs. The staff is very friendly and my Dad loves the food.

My mom has been at Legacy for a year now. It has been such a positive experience for her and myself. They work with me, listen to my concerns and always keep me informed. My mom considers Legacy her home. I looked at a variety of assisted living facilities in the area, and Legacy checked all my boxes. I love the surrounding beautiful preserve, it is so peaceful. Mom and many other residents love to sit outside and enjoy nature. The food is good, nice variety. They offer many activities-BINGO is very popular! Trips out to restaurants and grocery stores are scheduled weekly. A super PT department. But really, when it comes down to what we all want for our family, is for them to be loved. Legacy is that loving environment - from the cleaning staff, maintenance, med techs, front desk, my goodness All the staff, great attitudes, great hearts, kind words - always!!!

My mother has been a resident for over 2 years she is thriving, happy and loves the staff . The rehabilitation staff worked with her after a fall ( broken femur) she is walking again! My mother is 90 years old and is living her best life!

VHP is very welcoming to new residents. Independent living cottages are beautiful and spacious. Food is quite good and daily happy hour is fun. Lots of activities and Catholic services. We highly recommend VHP!

Staff are attentive to my mother in law's needs, lovely dining facility, food is good it is bright and cheerful and [name removed] who is a Director there is great! She has a suite in memory care with separate living and sleeping areas, it works well for her

The common area and dining room are a bit limited compared to other facilities but seems to be just fine for memory care residents. They have activities throughout the day that keeps them engaged.

My experience with Tequesta Terrace has been very positive! The community relations representative was warm and helpful in the early stages. Since then, all staff have been kind and I feel that my mom is being cared for in a loving way. The facilty is clean and activities seem to be plentiful.

The building itself is immaculate! The beach decor is serene and inviting. [name removed] gave the best tour with all the fixins, from meeting the concierge extraordinaire, Executive director, Life Enrichment and the nurses. I could tell from all the conversations that I had this was the right choice! They all genuinely care, are attentive to the residents needs and actually know the residents by name! Not always the case at ALFs. I am extremely happy with moms apartment, view and location which is next to care station, elevator and dining room. She has only been there a short time and is still getting acclimated, but I can tell from the interactions with the staff she likes it. She is always Smiling! I really appreciate being able to call the front desk and speak with the wonderful concierge team, and connect with my mom's room, which helps tremendously! The care team is knowledgeable, communicative, and available by phone as well as email for any medical concerns. They All Care!

I am so happy to have my mom here. I moved her from another facility (Harbor Chase) which was so disappointing! From the minute she moved in everyone was so nice and all the CNAs and nurses were so welcoming! They all introduced themselves. And their doctor on call is totally on top of things! I feel so much better having her here!!!

What a great feeling to walk into an assisted living facility and feel like home. This is what I want for any of my family members if needed in the future! I have been in the senior housing industry for over twenty years, and this is not always the case.

We love Legacy at Highwood Preserve. From the initial tour we felt right at home and welcomed. They were able to answer all our questions and more giving us great insight and comfort in this big life transition for our loved one. The facility is beautiful and offers so many great activities and ways for our Dad to really feel at home and connected with the other residents and staff. They are always accommodating and available to answer any and all of our questions or concerns. They have great food as well that's such a nice bonus. What we love most is all the engaging activities and how they involve our extended family in the community activities as well. We love Legacy at Highwood Preserve and the wonderful staff.

Great Atmosphere from the day I walked in on my first visit. The employees all greet you with a smile and seem like they want to help. No complaints on the activities they have and the meals are great.

I would recommend the Legacy at Highwoods Preserve to anyone looking for a home for their parent. You want someone who sees them as a person and cares about them as you do. First of all, they went above and beyond with the move-in process. My father was in a rehab facility that was far from the Legacy. They came all the way out to meet him to make sure he could go to Assisted Living. Our departure from rehab was delayed because I was waiting on a hospital bed. [Name removed] made sure to loan me a bed so that we did not have to wait. Anything that was an obstacle in my mind, they took care of. My father had to leave Legacy and go to the hospital. They were quick and helpful with that process. I thought we would not be able to return to Assisted Living and would have to go to skilled nursing when we came out of the hospital. Again, I went to [Name removed] and explained what our obstacle was and he assured me that, with Hospice, he would be able to return to his room. The food is very good. You have good choices like in a restaurant. There are two menus and are options that you can always pull from if you don't like what is on the main menu. The chef is wonderful to work with you if you need anything. Just like with any business, I am sure they're challenged keeping staff. They use an agency when they are short on staff and most of the workers are good. All of the staff that is employed by the Legacy is superior and above average. One thing that is important is that management is always accessible. [Name removed], who is in charge of the facility, and [Name removed], who is in charge of operations, or [Name removed], who is in charge of nursing, are always available. The doors to their offices are always open never closed, that amazed me. I have an example to show how they go above and beyond: I brought in all of my family the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The Legacy provided a room upstairs and we had 19 people with my Dad upstairs for Thanksgiving. When I got to the facility the day of the event the room was warm. I text to see if there was someone who could change the temperature. [Name removed], who is in charge of maintenance, came in on his day off to fix the temperature. The lady in housekeeping is wonderful. She is always mopping the floors downstairs and cleaning up. All of my friends that have lived in Tampa for years and come to visit all say two things: they didn't know this place was here and it doesn't smell like a nursing home. It also doesn't even smell like Clorox or cleaning products.

Tequesta Terrace has a very “resort like” feel to it - it is all around lovely. The management team is helpful, reachable and warm. The “vibe” is great - you walk in and can’t help but love it. Highly recommend.

The renovations are absolutely stunning! Tequesta Terrace is a beautiful community! The staff and residents are happy and friendly! I really enjoyed my visit. There are different size apartments and many different common areas which are decorated beautifully.

Legacy is a very nice place to be. Everybody is very welcoming and friendly, very much feels like home. The staff cares about the residents and tends to the residents as family. The building is gorgeous with a nice warm feeling upon arrival. I love visiting the Legacy each and every-time!

The leadership team at the legacy at highwoods preserve is outstanding! The care, and dedication they exhibit is beyond compare. Food is top notch and they are always doing fun activities and parties.. love this place!

The Legacy at Highwoods Preserve is a nice assisted living home located in a quiet neighborhood in the New Tampa area. My mother is 102 years old and now needs assistance with daily living tasks as well as support with her medical needs. I am happy to share that The Legacy has provided quality care for my Mom for one year now, therefore I can confidently attest to their reliability. Staff are kind and helpful. They look after my Mom with a group effort to assure she is well cared for, safe, healthy and happy. Delicious home made, hot meals are served with a smile 3 times a day. The facility is always clean and well maintained. Management is personally assuring that all concerns are addressed. I highly recommend The Legacy to anyone who needs assisted living support.
