Everything was great! Very good, very friendly and nice. my loved one seems to enjoy the food. They've been very nice. The facility looks great, she hasn't been there too many days to know how they do with her room, it's very clean so far.

My sister moved here and was here a very short time before she died. When we got the call from hospice the whole family came down from Minesota to be wtih her. The staff at Alden Gardens was incredible. They took great care of my sister. Compassionate and prompt. They also were outstanding with the family, making sure we had everything we needed and even fed us. They seemed to love feeding us, like staying with mom. Can't say enough good things about this place and it's employees.

This is a great Place!!! Excellent staff and great wait staff. The food was tasty and great variety. Would definitively recommend. Would move mom in but it was too far.

My mother has lived in Alden Gardens of Bloomingdale for just over one year now. I am very pleased with the care she has been given. Each and every staff member has helped my mom adjust to her new living arrangement. The residents of Alden are cared for by compassionate, patient and helpful individuals. From maintenance to the director, from dining room services to activities. The nursing staff is kind and willing to assist Mom as she requires. All the support she receives is provided in such a manner that she still feels independent and in control of her life. Mom’s apartment is perfect for her needs. The common areas are clean, well lit and welcoming. Mom is visited weekly and the building is consistently well-kept. A common sight at Alden is to find groups of people gathered in one of the common rooms, chatting and laughing. Mom loves the activities and participates frequently. Our family visited many different facilities in the area. We are happy with our decision to place Mom in Alden. Thank you, Alden, for the peace of mind!

My first impression with Alden Garden was the well appointed and cozy inviting side rooms. reminding me of sitting rooms at a fine hotel. and the light bright windowed dining room, bringing the outside in, while dining. That was a year and a half ago, and now i sit in the cozy rooms play cards, bingo, or Jeopardy etc. and enjoy the scenery of a snowy day outside while sitting comfortable inside. I give Alden Gardens five stars.

My loved one spent a few weeks at Alden for therapy and I could not have been happier. [Removed]in admissions really helped us through the process of getting her settled she answered all our questions. [Removed] was amazing she really educated me on dementia and made herself available even on her days off. From the nursing care to housekeeping the entire staff was outstanding I would recommend Alden to anyone looking for quality care.

This is a great place, excellent care , cleanliness, food and the staff is very good and caring my mom just came in March 2017 and is very happy plenty of activities she loves it ! that all I could ask for.

I could not be more pleased with the overall facility. The staff is great and the accomodations are top notch. I wanted to find a place for my aunt that could not only give her great therapy but also exceptional care and attention. And Alden at Poplar Creek provides all of that and more. I highly recommend this place for your loved ones. And compared to where she used to be, they are not under staffed at Alden which makes a huge difference in the quality of care.

My father has lived at Alden Gardens Assisted Living in Des Plaines for 2 years. We could not be happier with the care he receives. The director and her staff are very committed to their residents and we love that there is a nurse on duty 24/7.

Our mother has been a resident for two years and she tells everyone she loves her new home. As family, we are pleased with the quality of care she has received. The staff is attentive, caring, loving, upbeat and always friendly. The many scheduled activities offer opportunities for involvement. Cleanliness is always top notch. Food service is excellent. Alden gardens was a great choice!

My brother just loves this community. He does have to make his own meals,but for holidays they make a big feast. The staff is nice and the community smells and is clean. The manager [Removed] is super woman and we could not be happier.

My mom is a new resident and she is doing fine. She has been there for quite some time and she is all settled in. Things are going good, it is a good fit for her budget and the space around. The community is definitely a 5.

My father has been participating for the most part in the activities that the community offers. He gets to cook his own meals. The Alden Horizon is a clean place with wonderful caring staff. My father most importantly is in a safe community. I would recommend a tour of this community to friends and family.

The tour guide was smart and courteous during my tour of this place. They showed me all around including the bedrooms, dinning room and activities center. They offered me a complimentary meal, but unfortunately i didn't have much time to stay. Overall, i felt it was a nice place with attentive staff.

My father-in-law is doing awesome here. He enjoys his meals and loves that it is a full menu with options if he does not like what is served. They also provide a separate dining table for the family of the resident. The community looks to be always clean. The staff concentrate on getting my dad to walk more, they encourage him with little walks.

Alden at Waterford is a beautiful place, and they care about their residents. The staff has been wonderful to help both of my parents transistion during a very difficult time. I have seen my dad improve tremendously since the being at Alden and receiving additional physical therapy. The food is delicious and very accomodating for any special needs. They not only have been welcoming to my parents, but also to our family. As a family we have been very pleased with Alden.

My mother seemed to have adjusted well to this community. She is doing very well and she seems happy. She is still able to be independent and get a little help when she needs it. I know she is safe and being taken care of very well.

I really couldn't have asked for a better place to live outside of my own home. I have a view of the pond and garden area and it will be very beautiful in the summer months. Since moving in I have tried to be as active as I can be and have joined in on many activities like bingo, dominoes, and outings. We are ale to cook our own meals here and although the kitchen could be bigger I am very happy with my new home.

Very nice and staff seems very on top of things. I visited the rehab building and want to talk with them in the memory care/supportive living/Medicaid building.

I found the management to be friendly and helpful. They very helpful with assisting my mom in the move in process. They have a lot of activities. They have Bingo, BBQ's, pot lucks, and more. Every week they go to stores. The location is perfect. It's only 5 minutes away from my office. My mother is very blessed to finally get in. We are very happy. I would most definitely recommend the Fox River Horizon.
