We looked around for a couple years for independent living on one level, that was not an apartment. The floor plan of our duplex is great, the neighbors very friendly & helpful, & the staff very responsive to our needs. It is beautifully landscaped , with swans in each pond. We also found it more affordable than most of the other places that we looked at.

When you come to Alden, you are greeted by the smiling face of [name removed], then met with [name removed] who explains what apartments we have here. [name removed] handles all financial questions. We have the finest nurses and CNAs under the direction of [name removed]. [name removed] who takes care of all work orders. [name removed] and staff do a great job with the activities here. [name removed] does an excellent job in menu planning. He and his staff do a wonderful job. [name removed] is our Director. She, with the help from all of those named above, have kept us healthy and safe. I recently fell near the lobby. As I laid there, I saw [name removed] & 3 CNAs come to my aid. They got a belt and put it around me and told me to put my feet forward. They pulled me up & gave me my cane. I am very thankful to all who helped me. I think that God was showing me and my family what a great place I’m living at! Take it from me, there is no better place than Alden Gardens of Bloomingdale.

From the first day I toured, I was impressed by the presentation, follow up and encouragement to make a decision that was hard. Love living here now.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a good tour but the unit that was available was just a little for our loved one

I liked this community very well. This was actually my first choice but they did not have the availability right away like we needed. It was a little smaller and dated but the feeling was nice. Some of the rooms were bigger and that was nice also compared to other communities. This community was also a lot more diversified and the tour guide had been there for 14 years and was amazing.

I chose Fox River because of the location, it is close to my work. Also once I got here the building manager was very kind, professional, and helpful. The apartment size is very nice and comfortable for a single person, I also have a balcony. It has been a good experience and I would recommend to others looking.

The Alden Gardens community is very clean and very pretty. The staff members were all very welcoming. We would certainly recommend this community to other families.

I am so proud and happy to be out here sharing this remarkable testimony, awesome and extraordinary, I just can’t believe this now my ex Husband is really back to me on his knees begging me to take him back and he was feeling regretful and sorry for leaving me and for causing me pains after the divorce which occurred 5 Months ago. And this whole miracle happened after i contacted [name removed] for help, I am the happiest woman today in this whole wide world. It’s a miracle and everlasting pleasure and cheerfulness for me and my family today.. We chose Alden Horizon because the friendliness of the people and the value for the money. The apartments are good size, we have a 1 bedroom and it is perfect for what we need. They do have full kitchens and meals are not provided. It is a great place and I would recommend to others.

They're very accommodating, they keep things very clean, and the apartments are really nice. They're not claustrophobic, they have a nice layout, and the bathrooms are beyond ginormous. So far I've only spoken to the manager, and so far that interaction has been good. She knew exactly who I was, and I hadn't even introduced myself. So that was pretty impressive.

I was recently a short-term patient at Alden-Long Grove. As I entered this facility, I was warmly welcomed and greeted by my name. I was taken to a private room with a television and private bathroom. Several key staff members, including the Housekeeping manager and the Director of Nursing, came to introduce themselves. The nurses and CNAs were extremely warm, friendly, sympathetic, proactive and attentive. I had Physical Therapy six days a week and Occupational Therapy five days a week. The therapists were too were warm, friendly, and sympathetic. They encouraged and motivated me to get stronger, and I credit much of my recuperation to their outstanding efforts. Every morning, the Activities staff distributed a list of the day’s events to which all patients were invited. Patients could take meals in the dining room or in their rooms. Nobody wants to be in a nursing home or rehabilitation facility. However, I would highly recommend Alden to anyone in need of such services!

Love, love, love this place! My 90 year old independent mother feels safe in this comfortable, clean, and friendly environment! There are many activities if you so choose. [Name removed], the Property Manager is extremely helpful! I would recommend this facility in a heartbeat! My mother is a widow and being on a fixed income, she was able to afford this beautiful apartment in a residential setting close to medical facilities and shopping. This place is just perfect for my mother!

It's a lovely place to live. Food and presentation of food is very appetizing. Staff is fabulous and they make you feel comfortable - Thank you for all that you do!!

The room was ready, people did their best to make him feel welcoming, they were really wonderful. He wasn't so happy but that's just him. My interactions with them has been very good. As far as I can tell he like the food, he was somehow under the notion that he was suppose to pay for the food, it looks like a restaurant so he just assumed. I told him to eat indulge and enjoy. They have been exceedingly courteous. It's clean, they did come in yesterday to clean. I help keep clean here and there, I take out the garbage and straighter things up a bit. I am not going to get to be there everyday starting next week. How does it work? Do they take out the garbage everyday? Do I need to do anything to make sure things are being cleaned

My dad has been there for 18 months, so we know everyone and how things work. If we didn't like it so much we wouldn't let her move in. You know my Mom doesn't need much help, they always do their part, they are very nice and helpful. The food there is excellent. Everyone is always nice. The housekeeping is very good.
