My loved one has only been here a short time, but so far our experience has been a positive one. She has settled in, and seems to be doing well here.

Great facility with nice apartments and lots of amenities. The place is clean and well managed and the staff is super friendly. The food could be better. The residents are always active and so nice. Nice place.

about 7 min. drive from Oldmar so that appeals... lovely outdoor courtyard... but not nearly as beautiful as on the water!

We toured with Wickshire Tamarac and the facility was very clean, but I just did not get that warm and fuzzy feeling that I was looking for.

It would be an okay place for your loved one to go to, it is a nice community. The food seems to be institution or hospital food like. Some of the activities offered are: art classes, games, and some additional for the residents to choose from.

We thought this place was just okay. It's located in a great area, but it had no curb appeal. Its kind of cramped in between two other buildings, so there's not much outside as far as views, and the grounds weren't conducive to outside gatherings.

I really like it here, everybody is so friendly and helpful. The food is mostly good, but once a while things there are things that I can't eat or don't like. To be expected, I guess. I like the weekly cleaning, vacuuming, etc and laundry services. The only thing I don't like is that they are charging me $137 a month for an oxygen machine. I didn't know upfront that it would be an issue. It may be resolved, however. Overall, I would recommend it.

At first meeting seemed very nice, place was clean, and they were referred. Bad decision. Poorly trained and immature staff.

The sales persons were beyond excellent. The place is old, and needs major updating and renovations. It was more expensive than a brand new updated facility in town.

Community is very safe. The Activity Department is very proactive in encouraging residents to participate in different activities. The facility is clean and dining room offers a variety of meals to satisfy most people. They do need more aides to assist the amount of residents and more monitoring.

I would tell them there has been a decline over the past 3 months. Hopeful with the new ED, things will improve overall. Census has decreased, and staffing is reflecting that. Food quality is subpar which is a change since admission.

I would not recommend Wickshire to anyone. I've been here [date removed]. We are on chef number 7. Food goes from bad to worse. Some of the staff is very good but some leave a lot to be desired. Activities are for children not for anyone who still has all their marbles. Lots of drawing, board games and inane stuff. Occasionally there is some good entertainment. The exercise classes were good but have gone downhill since the staff changed. The activity director tries so hard but can't do it all herself. Again I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Depends on the person and his/ her needs. Very small community, residents are connected. They don't have enough staff and there is ALOT of turnover. It wouldn't be for someone who is higher functioning and is used to higher sets.

Wickshire Port Orange kept raising prices. She wasn't happy there. Everyone would rather be in their own home. It wasn't a bad place as far as the care but the food was so so. They did have activities my Mom enjoyed. The main problem was they kept changing her level of care and putting her in a higher money bracket. They say anything to get you in there. The people should ask specific questions. It's not really a bad place if you have money then you may not care about the cost. Also they raised the price of the room. A lot of people move out of there frequently. The director does make sure the residents are taken care of. She fired several people while my Mom was there.

The main concern is have is that They do not have enough staff to meet residents' needs... ie wait time when call for help. The residents are very kind and welcoming. The food is awful... the facility is small ( homey) and contained so easier for residents to get around. They need a better variety of activities. The person that you initially meet with is amazing and I really liked her.... but its almost a tease...

Poor/ lack of communication from administration. They do not return phone calls. The CNAs are very nice and do their best to help all of the residents in Memory Care.

We toured Wickshire Countryside during our search for a facility for our loved one. This facility was okay or fair. It was a hard sell for us, though. We decided to continue on with our search and to keep looking.

They need a better evaluation process. They did not place our loved one in the correct section. He should have been in Memory Care and not Assisted Living. He was covered in feces and urine every day, to the point that we removed him from the facility. The staff were friendly during onboarding, but there were too many missed steps, and there was a lack of communication. Plenty of other residents looked happy and safe and clean. So if your loved one is mobile, it seems like it could be a good place. It was just not the right place for our loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a very nice tour experience but the rooms were just a little to small for what we were looking for
