Wonderful!!! My parents moved in to Village at Proprietors Green 3 weeks ago. They love it! The entire staff has been so welcoming and so helpful. It has been a wonderful experience for my entire Family.

I think they do a wonderful job overall at Village at Proprietors Green! The staff here is wonderful, they do an incredible job! Everyone is very friendly, caring, and professional. They just really provide a high level of service here, and we're very satisfied with the whole experience!

My loved one has only been here a short time, but so far our experience has been a good one! The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and well kept, and they seem to take great care of the people who live here. The staff have been really good about engaging the residents. From what I have heard all of their staff have been there for years, and really know the ins and outs of their job.

Fabulous facility, approachable staff. I feel my mother is safe, happy, stimulated and genuinely cared for.

They are very open, friendly, down-to-Earth and sophisticated. My mom has gluten sensitivity and the could do better to accommodate that – She’s been there since May – and it’s hard to get a decent meal when she uses the dining hall.

There are not enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe this retirement home and the people who make it their career/passion to care for the elderly here. The Village at Duxbury will not be the most glamorous or state of the art retirement home but no amount of glamorous decor can substitute for the caring staff, the incomparable list of activities, stimulating talks, trips and enrichment programs this home provides. My Mothers transition could not have been better, the care, concern, follow through and welcome she received was above and beyond anything we could have imagined and she now, two months later feels as though she has a family of caring professionals and a peer group of vibrant, happy, involved seniors, she is thriving! Her apartment was remodeled to her specifications it was done beautifully and professionally and as residences turn over it appears this updating will continue. I have worked in this field for years and have never witnessed the quality of staff, the attention to detail and the genuinely happy and friendly vibe that permeates this organization top to bottom. My Mom loves the food as it seems does everybody else and she looks forward to learning and growing everyday which is the biggest gift Duxbury could ever have given us, Bravo to the Welch family and their wonderful staff!

They are extremely professional. It's a beautiful facility and the apartments are big. There is a grocery store right up the street that offers free delivery. The staff is very wonderful. Communication is very good. They have emailed what steps they were taking when there was a big storm coming, it put me at ease knowing they are in such good care. Maintenance could be a little quicker to respond, it might be a communication thing. The food looks and smells wonderful. I would give the food a five. The shuttle van and the driver is wonderful but, it is a little limited for social things like church and grocery shopping. It's a little structured, certain days for doctor appointments, and group activities, that kind of thing.

My sister and brother-in-law moved in here after some friends who moved in highly recommended it to them, and so far they seem to love it! It's a very nice looking facility, and everything was spotless when I visited. The staff are great, and amazingly friendly. An almost ridiculous number of people stopped by to say "Welcome home!" the day my relatives were moving in. The apartments themselves come in a wide variety of sizes, and they were able to find something large enough to suit their needs at a good price.

We were delighted with the facilities and the business people we met with when determining a place for our mother to live. The Village at Duxbury is clean, well maintained, the apartments were spacious, and everyone we met or spoke with were happy to share their experiences. Ultimately, my mother purchased a unit at The Village and has made new friends, joined a book club, uses the car service to go to doctor's appointments. The food is great - she has put on several pounds already! A Place For Mom gave us the opportunity to visit several facilites in our area. This one was the best for our mom.

The Director Al is knowledgable and friendly and very helpful with all the paperwork. He met my dad and thought he was a good fit for the Allerton House. The food is very good, it's healthy food and my dad is thrilled with the food. The staff is very friendly and the place is immaculate. He has a nice room and one morning when he missed breakfast the staff served him breakfast in his room. I would recommend the Allerton House, nothing we toured was as clean or as nice as their place. It's been a really good experience, on dad's move in day they fed me and my siblings lunch which was really nice. They are very accomodating.

Would recommend. We picked them because it was a convenient location. Nice grounds. Open and bright spaces

The family's overall experience with Proprietor's Green was a positive one. I believe that the overall value for the cost was good. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and was always knowledgeable about my mother's specific needs. The one significant area for improvement was with the meals/dining. Early on in my mother's arrival, the staff paired my mother up with other residents that my mother did not get along with and it was addressed to the staff and nothing was done about it which made for an unpleasant stay. My mother often told me stories of instances where what she ordered for her meal was not provided. I also experienced this when I went to pick up a meal for her on one occasion because she wasn't feeling well. The meal that was provided to me was not what she ordered. Although I offered to go back to the dining room to make it right, my mother would just say, "Don't bother, I'm used to not getting what I order".

It was expensive, but my mother had a positive experience there. Toward end of life, my mother was often challenging. The staff had the ability to roll with that. A majority of the employees really had their heart in it. We very rarely ran into red tape. We always felt there was an open door policy for making things right.

Beautiful facility & apartment units, nice schedule of activities, friendly, responsive & helpful staff, friendly residents, primary dinner options (only meal offered to Independent Living residents) need upgrading/improvement, transportation offered is often booked 3 weeks out/need more drivers. Overall good, would recommend except would note food is ok & needs improvement.

Our family was very grateful for the time mom spent at Allerton House. Everyone was very friendly and caring, and the facilities were always kept nice and clean. It has a homey vibe, which I think helps people transition to their new surroundings. My mom was there through the pandemic, and that was very difficult. But Allerton was fantastic through it all. The first 20-22 months were superb when [name removed] was the nurse in charge of the Memory Care unit. Once she went elsewhere, her replacement I believe was out of her league and the care waned. She was very nice and tried, but it was just not the same. There was a lot of general staff turnover at that time as well. That being said, she was not there for long, and I hear there is a new nurse now and more Dementia-related activities. Overall, for the money, the facility is terrific. It's a wonderful organization.

My family said the employees were very good and patient with my mom and dementia.

This community was very nice and the tour experience was great.

I was impressed with the staff members during our stay here. I would recommend them for others who are looking.

The activities were cut back due to COVID, but before that they had music entertainment almost every day, they have a fitness center. We have a dining service every night. The rooms are very nice as well.
