My wife and I are now living for close to 2 years at Bentley Village and fully enjoy our life in this community. The beautiful landscaping, the comfortable apartments, the many sporting activities like golf, tennis and more, the friendliness and caring of the administration and staff, the variety of tasty foods served in modern and attractive club houses and the excellent care facilities make ever day enjoyable and pleasant. This all deserves the highest rating. But a recent event even surpassed this rating. During hurricane Irma, all residents were evacuated. Residents needing special care were transferred to other care places. Independent residents were evacuated by bus to luxury hotels in Orlando. Unfortunately, the hurricane caused more damage than initially anticipated and an early evacuation plan of a few days stretched to 3-5 weeks for some of the residents. During this time, we as independent residents were housed in superior hotel rooms, had three fine meals per day, were provided with places to play cards, were shown a movie twice a day and were provided with bus services to shopping centers, malls and pharmacies on a daily basis. In the meantime all damaged apartments were repaired, freezers inspected and stocked with some essential foods at our return. And all this occurred in such a smooth way as to least inconvenience the residents but make their stay and return as comfortable as possible. The administration and staff did an outstanding job and made a very difficult situation very pleasant and comfortable for the residents. Thank you!!

My parents moved in in 2006, so I have more experience than other reviewers. They lived in a gorgeous independent living apartment (Dad died in 2007, Mom lived independently until 2013), played golf regularly, played bridge, went to programs on campus, took trips to see the Rockettes in Ft. Meyers, and are surrounded by friends. When the time came to move Mom into Assisted Living, the staff was helpful and professional. She was unhappy to downsize to a small one-bedroom, but the care and services provided in AL have been a life saver. When she needed PT after a fall, it was provided at the Care Center. When she became ill after Christmas last year, she spent two weeks in the Care Center where we were called daily and participated in weekly care conferences. The Care Center rooms are certainly more Spartan for temporary residents, and Mom's could have used a coat of paint, but it is the nicest skilled nursing facility I've seen in my 40 years as an RN. The grounds are beautiful, a new West clubhouse has been built with spectacular pools and a second East Clubhouse is almost finished as of this writing. New apartment buildings are almost completed and connect with walkways to the clubhouse. The dining rooms in all the facilities are lovely and the food is excellent. The food even in AL is chef-prepared and served by professional waitstaff. There is a Parking area designated across from the dining room where staff will whisk the residents' walkers away and promptly return them when they finish their meal. AL is like a cruise ship at dock: there are always group activities happening in the lounge or the rec room, from charades and Twenty Questions to singers and visits from trained dogs. Mom still plays bridge three times a week, they take her to all her outside doctor's appointments, and she is happy and doing well. The best thing is the medical director visits AL residents who need to see him on-site every Wednesday, so you can always get an appointment. Over all these years we have gotten to know the staff really, really well as we visit almost monthly. I know I can always call the nurses on Mom's floor or the AL director to catch up on how Mom's doing, something very important to us living up in Minnesota! Rather than worry about how long it takes for the tram to arrive or the dining room hours, I recommend focusing on the luxury and convenience and the skilled later life care of this continuum-of-care community. We feel lucky our parents have had such a wonderful place to live out their days.

It was a very smooth transition getting mom moved in. They had everything ready for her when she was ready to move in. They have been fabulous taking such good care of her. There have been a couple of issues with the room (toilet backing up, sink backing up, etc.) but other than that it has been a very good positive experience and I would highly recommend them. Everyone there has been fabulous - I can't say enough good about them! My mom can be very fussy but has been very happy with them and raves about the food as well.

What an amazing experience. First you meet Les Davidson, who believes there is no limit to assisting a person. He provides details on what is required, prepares you for what is to come, assists you with everything required for a smooth transition. The staff is excellent, and the people that live there are so friendly that I wanted to move there!! Residents are so willing and eager to meet new people. When we visited, they could not do enough- and the environment is so positive! One person told me that the only problem my mother will have when she moves in is learning to say "no" or she will have every day booked up and be exhausted! And it was true.

They've done a really great job so far at Vi at The Glen, my Mom loves it. It's a little pricey, but it is beautiful, clean, and well run. It's an upscale place (dress codes for dinner, etc.), which may not be the atmosphere some are looking for, but my Mom really seems to like it here. They're definitely worth a look.

Vi at Lakeside Village is a "buy-in" Continuing Care facility in Lantana, FL, very close to Boynton Beach, Rte 95, and A-1A. I have heard that they recently opened up some units for rentals, but I do not know about that option. Vi was previously a Classic Residence by Hyatt, and we were concerned when our mom heard that ownership was changing a couple of years ago, about 2011-ish. No worries. It is as nice as ever. Refurbished about that time, Vi continues to be a friendly, clean, beautiful option for continuing care for seniors. Our mom moved in about 8 years ago. She was happy to find many very talented artists, like herself, in residence. Since then, Vi has opened a small gallery of resident artists' work, on the 2nd floor. It was very well received, and Vi went out of their way to make the opening special, at that time. Music, snacks, etc. There is a wide range of activities, and their auditorium hosts various entertainers and speakers. The one important thing about Vi, is the caring employees. Several times our mom needed hospitalization, with follow-up care in their Care Center, near the main entrance. It is clean, and well-staffed in every sense. ([removed] Skilled Nursing Facility)-Plenty of aides, nurses, who go out of their way to make patients feel comfortable. There is also an Assisted Living unit and a Memory Care unit. Vi has independent living apartments that have been upgraded as attrition leaves a unit unoccupied. They have an ample kitchen area, dining table area, living room, screened patio, and 1bedroom. Two full bathrooms are in our mom's unit. They may have 2 bedroom units. I have not seen them. You will always see a friendly face behind the main desk in the large, beautifully furnished entrance area. There is a guard at the gate to monitor visitors. Residents may have parking spaces if needed. Dinner is provided nightly, 7 days a week. The dining areas are attractive, with linen table cloths nightly. Servers provide the meals. The menu has many options. There is a cafe open for breakfast and lunch with very reasonable prices and several food options. Lunches may be arranged in the dining room. We have arranged special birthday parties during the quieter lunch time, in the dining area. There is also a bar/lounge area with a fireplace, where many folk hang out before dinner. Also, very reasonable bar prices. Overall, Vi is a friendly, lovely residence for seniors. And for a special treat, a boat ride along the beautiful Lake Osborne, right behind Vi, may be arranged on Fridays. Grandkids, both young and old, always enjoy the ride. We are happy that our mom found this place for herself.

I have lived here for 7 years. One of the best decisions I have ever made. I am in independent living, but have had 3 major surgeries in the past 7 years. Each time went to our 5 star care center and had the best care anybody could ask for. If a resident is unhappy here they are free to leave, We are a continuing care community. with Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Care. I plan to make this my "Last Stop".

There attention to detail and the process was fantastic. There is a sales rep there named Kelly and she is one of the best I've met over there! She had it together and made us feel like a million bucks. It's a little on the pricey side but the facility is excellent, so you get what you pay for! My aunt is enjoying the experience and they were accommodating with the transition it took for her to move from independent to assisted living.

Excellent visit and tour. Lunch was excellent but took a long time to serve. Have to pay a fee that would result in most having to sell a primary or secondary residence to afford. Have three tiers to get a percent of the fee back. Also, there is a monthly fee based on the size and type of unit. Appears to have all the services one needs in one place for a person who needs to advance from independent living to assisted living, then to nursing home care. We plan to spend a couple of nights at the place to get a better feel for it.
