I performed music for free at Statesville, NC Jurney's for about 2 years. There are some good people on staff and some I wouldn't let be around my loved one. Put a camera in your Mom's room if you choose to put her there. Do the paper work and install it especially if they're in memory care. If your Mother gets banged up and there's an explanation like she fell and hit her head on the table....be wary...don't just accept what you're told without questioning! Like anywhere, there are good people and bad people. Memory care can be a dangerous place in many ways.

My brother was there for a total of 5 days. Spent the w/e before moving him from Concord installing shelves in fact the then director loved the idea, to keep the floors uncluttered...but My brother fell, broke his hip & had hip replacement. left numerous texts & calls, none returned, next thing I knew the director was gone. Brother went from hospital to a horrible rehab, never could an direct answer from Jurney's of a return. My search to get him placed began. A very agonizing ordeal, he is 52-53years old & and considered "too" young, which is discrimination, he needed the care, of which I was unable to provide like was needed from an assisted living facility.

Please do not consider this assisted living for your loved one. Never get meds on time and if your loved one causes them any trouble they will make sure they leave immediately. They really could care less if they eat or get a bath.

This is a nice home but the staff is undertrained and most not all are there to collect a check. If you place a loved here you must be very proactive on their behalf. The food is nasty and meds are never given on time. please consider another home for your lived one.
