Sunrise Senior Living

I really liked the tone that was set by the Sunrise-on-Providence Assisted Living Coordinator [name removed] on day #1- resident-centric with lots of care given to attention to details and care of residents/family. What I experienced was staff with patience, following their plans but made time for my dad and us, his sons, upon request. Food was above average for sure; special holiday meals were a BIG deal and felt that way to all. I also enjoyed the diversity of the staff…members from various countries who both listened to and gave their own stories. Dad loved that! The facility was clean, medication team was superb and we could always reach management, as needed! Laundry service was very helpful and overall we felt this was the BEST local choice for our dad!

My dad really love it here. Plenty if activities for him to participate in. He gets to leave the facility for different outings (to target, flea markets, etc). He appreciate the staff showing a little extra attention so that he doesn't feel left out(no other black resident)

They took very good care of my aunt. The nursing staff were kind and courteous. I truly believe they care deeply about their residents.

Excellent care and staff! So caring to every detail and understanding of the entire family needs. Excellent food! The team was amazing helping us long distance with all the details and our final move.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to place their loved ones in a nurturing environment. The staff is very attentive. 2 there, residence. When you walk in, it is like coming home. The grounds are well maintained. And you can walk around with your family members and allow them to enjoy the scenery if they're not able to get out, like some people can. You walked in with a smile. It is warming to notice that most of the staff it's very familiar with the family members that come visit.

We had a short experience at Sunrise of Reston Town Center. It is a wonderful place and they were very patient with us. Unfortunately, my father's health decline prevented him from moving in there. Very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous staff members.

Sunrise of Chevy Chase is welcoming community with thoughtful and supportive staff. The activities engage residents with different interests and needs. Staff keep in contact with family on a regular basis.

The only thing I would say is the food but that seems to be a common complaint among that age group. We would definitely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Professionally many patients reside in this community. They have a great nursing staff. Everyone is warm and friendly.

Very caring staff, low turnover, clean, professional. Very receptive to calls. Accommodations very homey; very bright, warm environment. Lots of activities to choose from. Dining hall like a restaurant with many choices to choose from.

Move in and my mom's experience while there was exceptional. You could see and feel the staff's concern and response to my mom and others. They were very proactive in meeting my mom's needs. She improved in her physical health and her mental well being.

Sunrise of Chevy Chase staff is compassionate and attentive. The staff routinely checks on the residents and their family members. The community has engaging events that make residents feel included.

So far Sunrise has been a good fit for my friend. Not perfect but so far it's working for us. My friend has made several reliable and dependable friends with staff. They periodically come to check on her and help her to order her meds. I am grateful for their kindness. They are in transition to get new activities coordinator.

Overall pretty good. High marks on most everything and they work to improve. The staff is undeniably the best part. The facility is a bit older and likely harder to keep up. Yet it is kept clean and free from clutter.

Beautiful community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Father in assisted living and receiving outstanding care and attention in a lovely apartment. Well-run and clean. Lots of activities for residents and many include family members. Accessible staff. Not inexpensive, but worth it.

Sunrise was having turnover of the clinical and activity director which was disconcerting. The staff is very nice.

I can’t speak highly enough of all who work at Sunrise of Orange. The Director of Sales provided my family with an exceptional tour, thoroughly explaining all aspects of the facility. Her detailed approach and engaging personality made an immediate positive impression. During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the Executive Director. He was also approachable and easy to converse with. We work in collaboration with the Assisted Living Coordinator who makes sure we are on the same page in terms of meeting my husband’s needs. The staff at Sunrise of Orange are universally welcoming and genuinely committed to addressing the needs of each resident. The Activities Director excels in his role, ensuring active participation. A delightful BBQ event was organized on the 4th of July for residents and their families. The caregivers demonstrate a true passion for their work and show sincere care in their interactions with the residents.

I have been on this journey with my dear friend and his family for almost a year, right at his diagnosis. I have known the Director of Sales for many years since we lived in the same community. It's not easy to find a place, first of all you don't know where to start or questions to ask. My friend was initially placed in a board and care home that the hospital found which is nothing like this place. From the moment of our initial visit the caregivers, nurses, activities director and executive director were welcoming. I think there was a themed disco day on our initial tour so everyone was dressed up, looked pretty fun actually! The residents that stay in this community are friendly as well. You can tell that the people that work here at Sunrise are caring individuals and they don't make you feel like it's a job with your loved one that they care for. I am more than pleased and know that my friend is being taken care of in this is a top notch community. I am more than grateful!

I have been very pleased with the Sunrise facility care! It is comforting to know that my mother is being so well cared for by kind, friendly, and attentive people. The activities are wonderful! She refers to her new place as “home”and the other residents as “her friends “, which means Everything!
