Sunrise Senior Living

We are very happy here. We liked them when we first were looking, but went with a less expensive option. That didn't work out. I feel like you get what you pay for, as sad as that is. Things are working out here.

My loved one has been here for around a year, and they've done a great job overall! The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff are patient and professional.

We moved my 89 year old mother to Highland Trails six months ago and she absolutely loves living at Highland Trails. She loves her apartment because it is new, clean and spacious. She loves all the activities and likes socializing as both staff and residents are very friendly and helpful. She especially loves the bingo games and the entertainment they bring in. She really appreciates the shuttle service and is very pleased that they take her wherever she needs to go within a 10 mile radius. It is very reasonably priced for the value. The only comment and recommendation my mother has is to improve the food. The food is hit and miss and I understand that the residence have put together a petition to have the food improve. She recently needed to get hearing aids and there is a Company that services Highland and she was able to purchase her new hearing aids without leaving Highland Trail. The only suggestion I would have is if they can provide service to help the residents if they have minor needs. For example, if a purchase arrives in a box if one of the staff were able to help residents to take it out of the box. The cleaning staff is marvelous and it is wonderful for my mother to have her apartment cleaned every week and sheets changed when needed. Overall, my family is very relieved that my mother is in a very safe, clean, and friendly environment at 89 and is happy. My congratulations to Highland Trails for making this a senior independent living experience my mother, myself and my family are very pleased with.

My mom is very happy there, and we are excited that she is happy. The staff is all very friendly, we know them all by name. The activities are good and right up her alley, they play bingo like four times a week and they have rosary. The food is very good, she loves food. It was a really nice place, and it fit her well. The rooms were really nice, not just box rooms. Overall we are really pleased.

My loved one lived at Sunrise senior living in Basking Ridge, NJ for many years & the staff was always very attentive, and the nurses always followed up. It is a very warm environment, and they make the residents feel right at "home". The place is always immaculate and was lucky that I was able to have my loved one stay in a place like this when they no longer could live on their own.

They do a wonderful job here! As soon as my loved one moved in they learned everyone in the families names, and just did a great job overall of connecting with us. The people that work were are very caring, and very friendly!

I’d like to give the friendliness of the staff a six! My mother enjoys all the company at Sunrise. It’s a good place to go. It’s an excellent assisted living place. The food seems okay. For us, it is conveniently located and there is enough parking.

The Jefferson is a wonderful, dignified community. Unlike so many other communities, it feels like a vibrant, fun place to live from the moment you walk inside. The staff was so helpful and patient with us throughout the process. One of the things that really worked for our situation, but may not work for everyone, is that it's a condo community. The salespeople at the Jefferson treated the whole process as a real estate transaction, treating my grandfather with the respect and professionalism you would expect of any other real estate transaction. That meant my grandfather felt like he was in control of this huge step into the next phase of his life; in so many other places, it felt like he was going to have to give up control.

Loved Sunrise...presents very well and models, (as well as actual resident rooms) very nice, excellent amenities (chef, meal selection, activities, assigned care provider, grounds) medical attendant & graduated care

It is very fancy, very nice, but a little ostentatious. It was Like walking into the lobby of Caesar’s Palace. The people were nice. The place we chose felt more like home. If you’re used to a lot of marble and a very upscale experience, this might be the place for you.

Al prvt rm= $4995, semi=approx. $4000. Incontinent supplies fee, move in fee $2000?? Beautiful building, rooms are inviting, sunlight, residents were quiet but looked happy, people able to interact, care givers visible and pleasant. Nurse detected issues with John that I agreed with needs to be checked by doctor. Spoke with Nurse Kim and met with Tammy Kirby

Top shelf! Well-run quality facility.

Loved the way the staff interacted with the residents, but more important to me was how the residents appeared to love their care givers. Clean facility with large studios for the residents. Visited twice at different times of day and had the same types of experiences.

I love the people, I love the staff, they take good care of my mom. Everything seems to be going really well. She can be independent and we can add care as the needs progress, and she won't have leave.

My loved one has been here a few years now, and we're very pleased with what they provide. She is in their lock-down memory care section, and they take very good care of the residents there. It's a small unit, so all of the residents get a lot of individual attention. It is expensive, but she is well looked after and safe.

He was very comfortable. What we could tell it was a better place… They were a little slow in reacting to his buzzer. It’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone was so so nice! Always greeted nicely. Responded to calls quickly. He was very happy to be there.

Brighton Gardens is an excellent choice for placing your loved one in an assisted living facility. My father has been there for the past 3 1/2 months and I am pleased with the amount of assistance that he receives. The staff is friendly and really seem to care about the people in their facility. The room size is adequate for his needs.

Everyone has been very nice to us. Compared to other places – they are a premium community. They are quick to respond to my loved one’s needs. My father has let me know the food is good. It’s a good place to be.

2 bedroom, 1 bath, patio?

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. Everything I saw here during our tour looked excellent, and they certainly would have been an acceptable choice for our loved one. We ended up going with another option due to a family member having a stronger preference towards another community we toured.
