Spring Hills

Really like the apartments and the staff - [name removed] is so nice! Love how close it is to our home. If we can make this work financially, it's a real possibility.

Our tour was wonderful, and I wanted my loved one to pick this one. I liked that the room was a little bit bigger, and it wasn’t a high-rise environment. There were just three floors. The people were friendly enough. The virtual tour was good under the circumstances. I would have rather had an in-person tour, but the times and the pandemic just didn’t allow for that.

Spring Hill is very clean and the staff members are very friendly. The meals are excellent, and they are starting to bring back the activities, they are doing the best that they can., The facility has been very accommodating within the covid guidelines for visitations. Their communication has been really good regarding everything with covid.

From what we could see of the community it was very clean, and the care services they provided were good. They did have a lot of activities to offer, our loved one just did not always participate. The value is more reasonable and we would recommend this community to others.

I feel the community has done a good job of containing the spread of the virus. They have been conservative of their planning. Unfortunately like activities have not been available, but this is to prevent the spread of COVID. They have had some staffing issues. I don't know of any community that hasn't. There are no discounts when staffing levels aren't provided. The wait times for care has increased.

We chose Spring Hills Hunters Creek because it was the closest one to my home for the money and the director that I went through to get my mom moved in was excellent. They took care of everything and made the transition much easier. The room sizes here are very nice, they do also have options to choose from as well. Overall, they really care about each and every resident individually and they always call when there is a problem. I would highly recommend.

They make me feel like family!

In September, my 93-year-old uncle came to Spring Hills after a fall which landed him in the hospital. He had been widowed in 2019 after 53 years of marriage, but remained relatively independent. Though he was no longer driving, he was still working a few nights a month. Then Covid hit! He could not go anywhere, and everything shut down. After the fall, his health began to decline. We did his grocery shopping and laundry and checked in on him regularly but we couldn't be there 24-7. Doctors told us he could not be home alone all day and all night any longer. We were thrilled to find Spring Hills and that they could take him during lockdown. The first few weeks were rough because he had to be quarantined. He desperately wanted to go home. That was heartbreaking, but the Admin and Staff reassured us that it would take about a month for him to get settled. Now, each time i visit, he seems more adjusted to life here, he talks less about going home. When the dining room re-opened that seemed to help too. The big draw when we were looking at sites to place him was the baby grand piano, since he has been a musician all his life. The staff has been great about getting him out of his room and sitting at the piano. I now understand he is doing it regularly and the other residents are enjoying it. We know this is where he needs to be and though Covid restrictions have made visiting him difficult, it is reassuring to know that he is not alone anymore. He is in a place where he is cared for 24-7, something we were unable to do. .

My family decided to bring my Father to NJ from Florida 3 years ago after he suffered a fall and could no longer live on his own. We had shopped around quite a bit and decided on Spring Hill in Somerset for the location as well as the facility itself. We really liked all that they had to offer. So far, we have been very happy with the Assisted Living. It is very well maintained and the staff has been wonderful for the past 3 years that my Father has lived there. The administrative staff as well as the nurses are caring and attentive and have made my Father feel very comfortable in his home. During 2020, Spring Hill handled the Covid-19 situation very well keeping staff and all the residents safe and keeping the families informed on a daily basis of all that was happening. I have to bring special attention to [name removed], the Resident Concierge at Spring Hill Somerset. She is absolutely wonderful! She is kind and atttentive to our needs. Treats my Dad like family and always has a smile on her face! She is always there when we need her for questions or to help figure something out for my Father. Could not be happier with Spring Hill Somerset! If you are considering moving a loved one to this Assisted Living I would highly recommend them.

My Mother, who is now 94 years old, has been a resident at Spring Hills for more than 5 years. We always thought highly of Spring Hills. However, the relentless effort and commitment of the staff to keeping the elderly healthy and safe since Covid emerged, has been nothing but remarkable. Under the leadership of the Center Director, the extremely knowledgeable Head Nurse, and the entire staff, they were able to turn the tides around, and even allow several Covid positive elderly to recover in-house. Everyone working at Spring Hills is a hero. THANK YOU!!

My 90 year old Mother entered Spring Hills when she could no longer live alone. She helped choose Spring Hills over other choices because it felt more like home. We made our decision based on first impressions like cleanliness, dining choices, facilities and the well kept grounds. Little did we know that the real advantage of Spring Hills is the people. Everyone is friendly and caring, and treat the residents like family. Even people like receptionists and office workers know them by name and try to accommodate any needs they may have. We got to see everyone in action when Covid hit. They took every measure possible to keep residents safe, while remembering that a connection to family is so important to them. They offered Facetime calls so we could keep in touch, and safe distance visits when that became possible. Daily conference calls kept everyone informed and allayed our fears. While all the staff deserves recognition, a special pat on the back goes to Keila, the resident concierge. She's the point person for families and residents to contact, so there's no bureaucracy to deal with. She's the kindest most caring person, and really makes a connection with the residents. She's the perfect person for the job. So if you're considering Spring Hills for your family member, take a look at the facilities, but make sure to interact with the people to get a true sense of what makes this place special.

My parents seem to be very happy and feel at home at Spring Hills Hunters Creek. I have always enjoyed the daily activities and entertainment pre-covid. Now they are starting up some activities and doing the morning exercise this week! I have a open communication with executive director, the resident concierge, nurses, doctors, even housekeeping! I can call any time of day or night to speak to someone I need to. That is real important to me as my mom calls me, then I call them and ask to my parents aid. [Name removed] the concierge is always willing to help anyone possible even if it's to turn up the volume on her phone so that she can hear Thank you all team at Spring Hills Hunters Creek.

I give six stars out of five to Spring Hills Hunters Creek! The expert attention to his medical needs and personal care along with creative activities provided have greatly enhanced my father's quality of life. Genuinely care and staff at Spring Hills Hunters Creek have exceeded my expectation in every way possible. It is truly a blessing my father is cared for by these amazing people.

My mother is starting her fifth year at Spring Hills. She has been very happy living here since the start. During the pandemic they have done brilliant jobs keeping them safe while providing activities through the TV and making sure my needs were met. Now things are beginning to loosen up and the residents are regaining some freedom to move about and eat in the dining room again and having small group activities. My mother and my family have been extremely happy with the care and compassion my mother receives. All of the people there who care for their seniors are wonderful and caring. It is clean and comfortable.

The staff at Spring Hills are the best! With the Covid virus going strong, the staff has remained friendly and quick to help with any care concerns. When the virus started the first amenity to be eliminated was the beauty salon. It didn't stay closed long because [name removed], the concierge, what's quick to step in with cutting, washing and styling. [name removed] is a wonderful person to take on this extra work. She made my mother very happy!

I have enormous trust in Spring Hills Hunter Creek. The care is so amazing. You can see the passion of care given to all residents. I feel total comfort the last eight years my loved one has lived there. He feels safe and happy.

Everyone is great at Spring Hills. They are friendly and they make an extra effort to help. We are glad that we picked Spring Hills.

During the pandemic the staff has gone out of their way to meet our every need. I am particularly impressed with preventative measures they have taken to keep us safe. With many prayers for our safety and the staff care we have had no virus cases. We are very thankful.

My mother has been in Spring Hills Assisted Living Hunters Creek for 7 years. Each of the seven years, I have been very thankful that my beloved mother is there, where she is treated kindly, with patience, confidence and professionalism. Spring Hills has staff does a superb job. Despite the current pandemic, they have continued to keep my elderly mother happy, healthy, and safe. I have been in many assisted living facilities, but I have not seen any that match the heart and caring with which springhills treats his residence. Awesome and superlative!

It was so very hard for me to accept that I could no longer live alone in my home. And I did not want to be a burden to my three sons. However moving to Spring Hills was such a right decision for me! The staff always takes the time to listen to me and are always willing to go the extra mile for me. My girlfriend's back home tell me that I am so lucky to be in a place that where they are concerned for me. I can't say enough about how happy I am.
