I think this may not be the best place for him, it comes down to cost and there aren't a lot of other different options for him. It's near transportation, Lower Mills I think is a fine area, I just think the age population is not right for him, they're much older than he is so I don't know if there's any place where he'll feel comfortable. He does try, they're very friendly and he has connected with some. I think they're caring people there, but he needs help they can't give him. The location is good, it's next door to a place he worked out in every morning, it's right around the corner so that was good for him. I think the biggest thing is fitting in with the other residents. There was some question about whether Standish was following through on the activities they said they were going to do, but I don't live there so I don't know.

It was good; however, the food. Everytihng was pasta, so being a diabetic, having high blood pressure, they had pasta for every single thing and they didn't havew any choices like weight watchers or low sodium or something like that. For whatever reason, it seems to have a major turnover in staff, they switched management and there was a lot of turnover. It didn't really affect her care, but it was upsetting to her not to have the same people taking care of her.

Overall, I'm happy that my mom is here because she needs the safety, security, regular meals, and medication management that the community provides. The staff has been very pleasant, and Nurse [name removed] has been especially wonderful. My mom also enjoys the food, her room is amazing, and the location is perfect. The art activities and events are nice as well. My biggest hesitation is that my mom doesn't love living there. She often feels like she's in a prison, and I wish residents had more opportunities to spend time in their own rooms and away from some of the chaos. My mom isn't as advanced as many of the other residents, and I worry that the environment isn't helping her emotionally. I also wish there was more encouragement and assistance with bathing. It seems like she's only bathing about once a week, and I feel she could benefit from more support in that area. Even with these concerns, I'm grateful she's receiving the care she needs. I'm hopeful that with more time she'll begin to embrace it and settle in, although I also recognize that some of her feelings may simply be part of the progression of her disease.

1. I cannot afford any of these places. Even w long term care insurance because you are charged for the services. 2. It was welcoming, consistently by the residents Staff was more welcoming before you signed on. Then they moved on to new potential customers. 3. Meal plans and food was pretty negative. Not much catering to dietary needs like sweet and gluten, not enough on alternate menu No flexibility in cost if you eat only one meal a day. Also breakfast too early. Lunch is late and dinner too early 4. The resident committee was a great group of people with a lifetime of experience and they were pretty much ignored. I took notes for their meetings. Lots of dining issues and outdoor parking and lighting concerns. 5. It was difficult to get in to talk to [Name Removed]. I never did. She called and did not seem to know what I wanted in spite of writing to her. She eventually replied to my emails. 6. I am not ready for this type of living entertainment etc. Not my thing.

Overall, it was a good experience. She was there for 11 months. I live out of state, so only visited a handful of times. Whenever I did, there was never any toilet paper in her bathroom. A friend who visited said the bathroom was not clean. When she was discharged, she was taken to the hospital due to aggressive behavior and they told the hospital she was not allowed to return. This ultimately left her "homeless" until she was accepted to another facility. So overall, the place was fine, but I do not like how it ended. Also, many items were missing from her room, including a brand new pair of shoes, personal items, pictures, etc. We never got these items back.

My parents were only there for three and a half months from September to December 2022. They spent one day in regular Assisted Living then were moved to memory care where they spent the remainder of their time. The regular Assisted Living part was beautiful had nice activities and a beautiful dining room and good food. If I'm rating the memory care section separately, it was not a good experience for my parents or myself. Having moved them to Memory Care unit elsewhere, it has been very different. From my experience I would not recommend this memory care unit and would give it a 3. It wasn't horrible neither was it good. It was crowded and residents rooms always have to be locked.

My loved one was previously a resident at Anchor Bay at Greenwich and the overall experience was just okay. They raised their rates three times in less than a year and a half. More than half of the time, they did not have an Activities Director in Memory Care. They had a few good CNAs, but most of them were per diem and did not care about the residents.

My mother has been here now for several years and if I could afford to move her I would. The stars are for the wonderful caregivers- they get a 5, and it’s why my mom is happy there. The families on the other hand are incredibly frustrated. My mother moved in and we received no welcome packet- neither of us. There was not a single meeting with my mother or me after she moved in ever. reaching the head nurse to set up an appt was impossible. Why? Who knows. The turnover of the directors and the head nurses are annual- this director has lasted 2 years, but she is the 4th in 5? 6? Years. We can’t even keep up with their names! The AM receptionist is great, but none of the others know what’s going on day to day- not the support groups, hair stylist, et -how do you not know who is coming in the facility each day, or their schedules? the director doesn’t even know! NO Mediterranean diet. Pizza. Turkey tetrazzini. Wings. & tons of sugar from morn to eve. It used to be great 10 yrs ago

Anchor Bay I didn't like the feel of the memory care wing. It was just one big room when they weren't in thier rooms and they charged you for everything they did as far as care.

The space is beautiful and is very festively decorated for holidays. My mom's bedroom floor, doesn't seem to have been washed in the 3 months she has been there. The receptionist and directors are nice and some of CNA's are, but too many per diem CNA'S.{name removed] is wonderful and there are some good CNA'S, but they use too many per diem CNA'S, who are not familiar with the residence or their care. I heard the food is good. Some of activities are on video, i.e. exercise, which limits human interaction. I think it is a decent place and my mom seems happy.

It is a beautiful place and everyone seems happy, it is like a hotel. It is fine for assisted living if you need minimal assistance and are more independent and active, but I did feel misled and do not think they should have accepted my loved one. It was not a good experience for us and it did not work out in the end.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice tour experience but it was just not going to be the best fit for our loved one. The main thing we did not like was the location - it feels like your in an industrial park and when you look out the windows you see parking lots and factory buildings. The surrounding's were just not very plesant.

It is a nice place, clean. It has very friendly people. You have to look carefully at the facility and make sure it absolutely fits your needs. The food is not the greatest. They seem to change chefs and don't understand dietary restrictions. They are not quick to respond to help. With the monthly cost, I would expect the food to be freshly prepped and not pre packaged box food. They do what they are supposed too when people are on top of them. They charge for absolutely everything. You pay for the level of care your loved one receives. They do not consult with the residents or their family members regarding the changing of my loved ones medications. The medication comes in small pre packaging labels that are sometimes hard to open and hard to read for the residents. The pharmacy they use I would give a 1.5 - 2 stars. They hired a company to come in and clean her chair one time for [price removed].
