The community is very homely, clean, and cozy. I definitely recommend taking a tour here. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The executive director was very knowledgeable of the facility.

They are very compassionate and caring for the residents. My mom really loves the new director. My loves the food and they offer a variety. We chose the community because we wanted her close to us, it is near a pharmacy, the convenience of the location, and knowing they she would be taken care of by caring people. She loves her cute, little apartment as well.

What I like is that it's small and they offer level of care. They get a lot of individual care and attention. They know the residents and family members really well. When I call, the staff who answer, know who I am. The food was pretty good when we first came, but they are constant changes I have always been amazed at how wonderful and nice the staff are. The staff are also pretty stable. I think that for an assisted living they go the extra mile and give more care than required.

Lakewood Park is a step above the rest. We have toured several senior living facilities in search of a place for our aunt. The facility is beautifully decorated and welcoming, giving you a warm, comfortable feeling upon entry. More importantly is a staff that literally treats you like family. They were so kind and friendly that we instantly connected with them. The empathy and compassion shown to us was overwhelming. My mom moved in to Lakewood Park Manor about a month ago! I am very impressed with the constant activities and environment of the building. No one is ever bored and employees are well trained. The staff is so amazing and shows real compassion towards each resident. Care is very individualized and the facility is very clean. Nothing like other assisted livings I’ve visited before choosing Lakewood Manor. I couldn’t imagine a better place for mom.

We moved Mom to Lakewood Park Manor about 6 months ago from another facility. There is no comparison between the two facilities. We visit Mom almost every day. While there, we observe many of the residents and the interactions between each other and the staff members. We are impressed with all the daily activities and also the great quality of their meals. In any new facility, they have some adjustments required, but every issue we observed had been resolved quickly and efficiently. Communication between the staff members has been outstanding and they are always willing to listen to our suggestions. We would highly recommend this facility to take care of your loved ones. The caregivers at Lakewood Park Manor are amazing. Everyone in the assisted living center has patience and compassion. They are friendly, courteous and proactive. This place has been a lifesaver for my dad! He is taking part in lots of activities and thriving there.

I been here for 4 months and I am still adjusting. The place is clean and doesn’t smell. Staff are helpful and I made new friends here. They have transportation provided, I am able to get to my appointments. They have a beauty shop downstairs, I get my haircut there. I like the fitness room they have. My physical therapist from home health would take me in there when she comes by to give me therapy. I would recommend to those who are looking for independent or assisted living.

I am a vendor, I usually deliver packages here since this is one of my routes. I been to many different communities and healthcare. This community is one of the best and nicest in Downey. No odor, residents here are well groomed and dressed. Place is very well kept up and very clean.

Best assisted living in the area. After touring several facilities in Downey, we saw Lakewood which was clean and smelled good. The rooms where spacious and the staff was friendly.
