From the moment I brought mom to The Pines she was treated with respect and dignity. The staff is so good to her and her fellow residents. They are all friendly and professional. Her room is very spacious and the entire place is kept clean. I would recommend The Pines to anyone that has needs for memory care for their love ones.

We highly recommend The Pines of Lapeer Memory Care. We tried another place that ended up not being a good fit and needed to move my grandmother. [name removed] made it happen for us on a few hours’ notice. Knowing that my grandmother was having a tough time adjusting to the change, [name removed] put my grandmother in a room near her office so she could help the best she could. The whole team has really made this move easier on us, especially in the times of Covid. They never complain about the increased workload I’m sure they have now. They’re always friendly when we call, even if grandma is having a rough day. The food is really great so we never really have to worry about whether grandma is eating. The team there has become sort of an extension of our family, especially [names removed], and we are so grateful. It’s never ideal to have to move a family member to memory care, but The Pines of Lapeer has really stepped up to make it easier on our family.

My father has recently made the move into this community and I could have not picked a better place for him to go. The staff are very friendly and I am pleased with the experience he is having so far. The property is always clean and they do a great job at helping keep his room picked up and fresh. He has had no complaints about the meals and enjoys the activities from time to time. I would recommend it to anyone interested in an assisted living for there loved one.

We relly liked The Pines, it was a nice community and the people there were very friendly. The reason we chose another facility was location. Other than that, this one was a great choice.

I think they're doing a great job taking care of my loved one! It's a nice looking, clean facility, and the staff are all very friendly. They've got a lot of activities, and I appreciate that they put a lot of effort into making sure my loved one knows about them and participates!

They are really so kind and very helpful. I can tell that they really like and genuinely care for my mom. They look out for her and are doing all they can to help her in any way they can. Mom is not quite as advanced in her dementia as some of the other residents are, and most of the activities are (understandably) geared towards those whose dementia has been more advanced. I wish that they could have some activities for those whose dementia is not as advanced.

I liked that they are one level and only up to 20 residents. The senior staff are great and friendly but unfortunately they have a high turn over of newer staff. I like that residents pets can visit, that seems to cheer everyone up.

I would recommend them. We picked this community, because the cost fit our budget.

Orchard Park is a nice place. The activities director is wonderful. Although my loved one doesn't participate, he keeps asking and trying to engage them. If your loved one would participate in activities, they would like it here. The food is bland, and cafeteria-like. It's not anything to write home about. My biggest compliant I have is the aides do not wear name tags. So if you don't know who they are or if you cant remember their name, then that's just kind of too bad. They also need to respond better. My loved one has limited mobility, and can not walk. They are a 2 person transfer when they need to be moved. I've had several aides come in, turn the light off, not do anything, and never come back - I'm pretty sure its the same aide(s). They could do a lot better job at that. I do understand that finding reliable and good help is hard right now; but maybe if they paid them a bit more or offered an incentive, they could hire more people who want to do their job. Generally a lot of the people are nice, but they tend to be nicer and more helpful when I'm there versus when I'm not. There are a few who are special and who are good to the residents, but a majority of them are just there to pass the time. I've complained to the administration and they said they would address it, but it hasn't changed. Again, some of the girls I'm comfortable leaving my loved one with but I want to be fully comfortable leaving them there. My loved one has lived in several places, and this is the best place so far. It's convenient for me because its very close to my house, but Orchard park could step it up a little bit. I'm happy, but I'm not satisfied. It's not the best circumstance I could hope for my loved one, but its certainly not the worst.

Smaller community and that was good. The care my loved one received was great. The value we got was great. The communication was not really that great but did improve towards the end. I would recommend this community to others.

It is a small community. I like the fact that it is on one floor, and a simple floor plan for my loved one. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful.

The staff in the head office was wonderful, even though they have nursing staff you need to keep an eye on things and make sure your visiting and double-check with the staff and make sure everything is ok. I would recommend this community to others.

Dedicated, committed, caring staff. Good response time, variety of activities, dietary staff offer a varied menu and provides excellent service. Housekeeping works hard to keep the facility and rooms very clean. Administration available at all times to address resident concerns. Staff friendly acknowledged by residents and family for their hard work and keeping resident safe and the facility free of Covid-19.

I have been living here for 10 years and I'm very happy during those years.
