My family member was a resident at the Promenade at Blue Hill. The Promenade is a small facility. The doors are locked and a code is needed to get through them, which prevents residents from being able to...

They are lovely people, hard working, caring, kind, and understanding. As far as the food goes, all comments seem to circle around how hot or cold it is.

really liked the Promenade. Scarlett and Nicole were great. Nicole explained the independent living option and i am convinced that style is all my parents require at this time. my parents are not inclined to move from Pa to NY, but this setting or a setting like this could make them chg their minds. my sister will make a visit here as well.

When my dad was ehre they seemed to help out more somewhat. Assisted living can be expensive but it just seemed like they were giving more time with him and there was more overall care. From the activities provided he was staying more involved and this was less expensive than the sunrise we were looking at.

We chose the Promenade at Tuxedo Place because it was the best fit for our situation. It is located very close to home so it allows us to be nearby. Everything my mother needed is here. We are very happy with the choice we made and would recommend it.

Karen was very helpful. She gave me an extensive tour. I was very pleased with all the renovations that they were doing. I had been there many years before when it was South Winds and found it very dreary but the upgrades make it a cheerful place.

It was great, but I believe only for smokers. I do have asthma, and would not last long there. Staff was great, the place is beautiful, and I wish I could have taken it.

Spoke at length to director today and believe this might be a place for us, depending on her assessment of husband's condition. I was at this facility a few months ago to check it out, but will return again if he is determined to be a good candidate for the level of care that they can provide.

We have had some communication issues with the staff. It is an okay place, although they are friendly here. They could definitely improve on some things.

My Mom is not looked in on as she was told would happen. Towels, bath mat, wash cloths missing. Call ,late at night "her eye drops were missing and they couldn't find them" When I tracked down the problem two days later, it seems they found them, but never let me know and so I was annoyed they either didn't give her her drops or I never knew they found them. Now she has double bottles in her medicine cache. I misplaced a pair of black pants and a pair of black socks, by putting them down somewhere, but I guess there is no lost and found as they have never reappeared. I would think not too many people leave folded up pants and socks laying around. We only sat in the living room.

I think that this place is nice, its clean and my mom gets good care there. I feel she is very safe there and that is very good to me. The staff is very friendly and helpful and very good. I have not had any complainants only that there was a ant problem in my moms bathroom but they took care of it right away. Promenda has plenty of activities but my mom doesn't care to partake in it. They have sing along, current events reading and she is 90 and says "I don't want to hear about all the horrible things going out in the world". They also have bingo and they had kids come in to play games with the elders and my mother actually enjoyed that. They kind of force them to get interactions and its helpful. My mother did have a very hard time adjusting and is receiving the highest level of care. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. They accommodate in every way. My mom doesn't like the food but she is a very picky eater but she said the soup is good. She has two aids that she loves, my mother said "my face lights up when Donna walks into the door and I now the day will be great". A Place for Mom was wonderful I didn't know where to start when she was declining and than it was like boom I was so happy I had looked at some places before all of that happened. A Place for Mom was so helpful to me they gave me places, ideas. Also the Promenade told me even if she runs out of money they do take medicaid and not very many areas do that. Martina Donahue told me about other places that would be great as well. But this place has a support group once a month with the social worker and anyone that wants to come. I have found them so helpful.

I only toured this place. The rooms were very nice. the staff that we met seemed to be nice. my loved one came to see this one and wasnt feeling to well and they had the nurse come and look at her and she was spot on with her diagnosis. I will say the bathroom i used was dirty but other than that seemed clean. we didn't choose this place mostly because of location and we just didn't get that right feel.

We did have some issues when we first got there we were promised a lot of things we weren't given, we spoke to other people who had the same experience. We were told if you go in to the independent living side they said that you can go over to the assisted living and have access to everything. But this is not the case. They were very nice about it, we voiced our displeasure and they conceded to giver access to one activity a day. They were clean and friendly. If you're independent you aren't allowed on the other side which is not what they told us, or several other families going in.

This was one of the places that was a little kitschy. I want to say it was the place that had kosher food and they were not into that, even though they were Jewish, they wouldn't even try it. They had an outside medical service and we were concerned about how much they would be able to do or what it would cost.

Consider it for Medicaid funded, but if someone has private funds look elsewhere. Food - Just not very good. For example at dinner (evening meal) they serve soup and sandwiches. Activities - No outings with transportation despite saying that on tour. Also their communication, med management and health management is a chaotic mess. Impact examples are: • Not sending records to specialist for appointment resulting in waste of time and money for that visit. • Giving my mother someone else's meds (at least twice) which my mother caught.

Yes they need to have a dietitian. The food is fried and canned. They could do a lot better. Not to mention, that there are no guests allowed at dinner time or any other time in the cafeteria. Does not make it nice for visiting family that they can't dine with their relatives

My loved one was previously a resident at The Promenade at Middletown and her experience at this facility was overall just okay or less. Unfortunately, she was not happy at this facility and we moved her to a different place.

The facility itself appeared to be above average compared to some others I saw. They had a beautiful outdoor seating area that I liked. We are country people and we thought the location was not very safe, but for someone who lives in the city they might not even blink an eye. I did not like the shared room set up. It was more like a hospital and the residents have to share the same bedroom rather than having separate bedrooms and a shared living space. It was just not the right fit for my dad.
