Offers A Lot Of Activities

They are caring for my brother very well at this community. Everything is going good since his move to the community. It looks nice and pretty clean. The staff is great, they have been very helpful and nice. The offer many activities through out the week. The food looks really good, and he enjoys the meals. It has been a pleasant experience and I would recommend it.

Things have been good so far.

Things have been good so far. We don't have any complaints. They keep it clean, and the staff is friendly. We are very happy with it. We really like it. It was pretty competitively priced compared to similar places in the area.

Great staff!

My husband's aunt moved into Copperfield Hill this summer and we have been very happy with the staff and care. They went above and beyond to make her feel welcome and special, even to the point of throwing her a party with live entertainment and media coverage when she turned 100! She was thrilled! The staff know each resident by name and are very welcoming and personal in their care. We know she is in great hands!

Forever home

This is truly a "home" for my father and the staff is "family". I honestly can not say enough good things about Copperfield Hill. The facility itself is very nice and there are constant updates and improvements going on. The entire staff is amazing and attentive to his needs and the care provided has been exceptional. I feel as if they know my dad as an individual and treat him with honor and respect. There is an interesting variety in the meals served and the food is very good. The positive energy when you walk in the door is upbeat and the residents seem content and happy. I feel as if my father could not be in a better place and he now calls it his "forever home". Thank you Copperfield Hill!

Copperfield Hill

What a happy day when my husband and I decided to move into Copperfield Hill! With a friendly & able staff, with an abundant variety of activities each day, with a choice of communal meals or cooking in our own apartment, our needs are well-met. What a gift to find ourselves surrounded by caring friends & companions at Copperfield Hill, day after day.

Director is a pleasure to work with and listened to all of our needs. While the facility lacks a front entry desk/reception type area, there was always someone around to ask questions to. The activities were varied and plentiful. Definitely something for any interest to do! The activities were very well attended and participants were active and entertained. I like that they have the buddy system when a resident first comes into the center. Meals are varied and plentiful and there is access to anything. They have outings to Walmart, Target, the banks, grocery stores, dining establishments and many, many more. There is always something happening at Copperfield Hill! While the apartments are not the newest, they seem to be kept up very well. The apartments are quite, you don't hear your neighbor's TV. The tubs are renovated to be walk-in showers. And the price is reasonable.

Happiness after retirement

The main reason for moving into Copperfield Hill was because it was family owned. The bonus comes from all of the social programs that are offered. You are never bored. An example of them are: 500 cards, cribbage, pokeno, bingo, poker, happy hours with entertainment, birthday parties, spring, summer, fall events. None of the corporate independent living buildings offer these events. All the residents go out of their way to be friendly.

Going well so far

My parents moved here and like it so far. The maintenance has been a little slow. My parents said they have put in requests and they keep getting pushed back. They got a free meal card when they moved and have eaten at the dining room a few times and really like the food. We chose Copperfield Hill because they participated in the Elderly Waver Program. My step-brother was able to move in with them also so it helped everyone out.

Memory care for mom

My Brother and I recently toured the Cedars memory care. The tour took us through the entire community area and showed us things we could do when we visit. There was several community room areas, a library, fitness room, hair salon that needed some updating, the dining room was big with a lot of character, I love the thought of being able to park in a heated garage. The memory care itself was cozy and we only seen one apartment open, but I like she can have her own private bathroom and not share one. Our experience overall was really good on the tour and we have decided place our mom at the Cedars. We also talked to a staff that has worked there 15 years that was willing to answer our questions.

Perfect place for Dad

This is the perfect place for my Dad. As we were moving him in to his new place, there was a guitar player in the common area playing all his favorite songs. That's when I knew he was going to be very happy here. The facility is very clean, the people are very friendly and the food is great! The assisted living package provides everything my Dad needs for one great price.

No Concerns Here

We are happy with the care and my mom is in the independent side. The staff help her if needed and they have activities available. My mom participates in some activities. I have no concerns about the facility being clean, it is spotless. My mom likes the meals from the dining room but she also makes her own food too. I would very much recommend this place to a family or friend.

A great fit!

My mother-in-law moved into Copperfield Hill about 5 months ago. When we were exploring her housing options, this was our unanimous choice. She enjoys the sense of security and friendly staff and fellow residents. There are many activities and outings that help keep her occupied and engaged. She enjoys the close proximity to Crystal Lake for outdoor walks and visits with her friends. Also the near-by businesses of Robbinsdale give her access to the little necessities and some shopping activity. We live close by in Minneapolis, so it is a good location for us to visit her regularly as well. The recent remodeling is coming along nicely...will be glad to see that completed.

My parents loved it!!!

My parents did NOT want to move out of their home, but they couldn't manage anymore without assistance. We had toured other places, but this one suited them best. They liked that it didn't "sprawl" on for miles, or seem like an institution. They loved the atrium and the sun room! They picked a beautiful 2 bedroom on the 5th floor, with "the view", available Nov 1st. But in August, mom was hospitalized, and their move in date was going to have to be moved forward, well before their apartment with "the view" was going available. I called Copperfield (in tears, no less!) and asked what could be done. Copperfield allowed them to move into another 2 bedroom, temporarily, until the one they really wanted with "the view" was available! Moving in two stages, although not easy, made it easier than hiring the extra help mom would need until she could move in. It also allowed them to get acquainted with the place, on a "temporary" basis, like testing the waters. Everyone one who has come to visit them have been impressed with the place and the help has been wonderful. My father passed in January, but the neighbors and staff have been extremely attentive to mom, checking on her to make sure she doesn't feel so alone. The staff has been extremely patient with me, since the running joke is that I am here to change the service agreement, again, this month... Due to the drugs mom was on, they had to monitor her many times per day in the beginning, doing blood draws and administering her medicines. We finally got that all under control and things were settling down when she took a fall, back to the hospital and when released, she was back with the extra services again! She has since recovered and she is back to just the basics of assisted living and is doing well. I think the service contract has remained the same for the last two, maybe three months!!! The great thing is, they are able to add or subtract services, as needed, in short order. I appreciate that because I was afraid when she needed all that special assistance, that the price would go up, but never come down. That was NOT the case. That is why it is our "joke" about my changing the service package, again, and again, and again! Up, down, up, and down again!

Review for Copperfield Hill

I like the layout of the facility- there is a common area on the second floor that others can see from the balconies above the common area (the residents have meals in the common area, and play bingo or gather for other activities in the common area). There are chairs set up on the balconies for residents to look down on what is happening on the second floor. I found the nursing staff to be kind and receptive to our questions as family members, and pretty accessible when I had a question or a concern.
