My visit

This looked like a nice community when we visited. They offer rehabilitation services including a jacuzzi. The staff I met were friendly and the community is clean. This community is in a congested location and we did not think this would work for our loved one.

The care services are good, the character of the company is what is in question.

They were always clean, and they had plenty of activities. The meals were good. They were able to keep up with medications, and any changes. Any time there was a new doctors appointment they were aware of it and made sure we were aware of it. Unfortunately there were items were stolen from the room. [removed]

Rosewood Village Greenbrier review

What they could improve on would be the food and décor. Staff is great but food and surroundings are terrible. Old and dusty. I would not recommend this community to other families based on the experience I have had so far

Awesome Potential When Fully Staffed

Be sure to spend time on the units if possible; ask specific questions about the different levels of care for the price difference, especially between assisted and memory care; request care staff to resident ratio. Summit is excellent for cleanliness and ability to visit anytime. Our experience is staff shortages have significantly reduced scheduled activities from occurring and we have experienced delays in services/ bloodwork/ communication.

I Toured This Community

We really liked that this community was family owner, however we weren't sure how the care would be because of that and deterred us from this community.

Lack of Staff

If you go in for memory care, don't go here. The wheelchair was soiled this past weekend, and there are times my loved one isn't as clean as I would like for my loved one to be. [Name removed] and [Name removed] are awesome. I have seen other staff members be on their personal cellphones, or doing other personal items and not caring for the residents.

Nice facility with best common areas....

Nice facility with best common areas. Have two waiting lists-1. residents that deposit one month rent for the base rent and 2. residents who place standard $500. While full or partially refundable, the full mo. rent shows decision to live there has been made.

Not a good fit

The staff here did a nice job with our tour and they were able to answer all our questions and they took their time showing us around. The memory care unit here just did not feel right for my mother-in-law, there was not much activity going on and in the end we felt that she would be better off in Arizona with us.

Not enough activity

The staff at this community did a nice job with our tour showing us around and answering our questions. The memory care did not seem to be a very active, kind of drab and I did not think my mother-in-law would have enough to do here. We were also concerned about the option of bringing in her own personal caregiver as well. In the end, we felt that my mother-in-law would be better off in Arizona so that she could be close to us.

BEWARE!!

Do not believe half of these reviews, staff was coached by administration to post positive reviews and told to give high rates. This is one of the most poorly ran communities that I have ever seen. The staff to resident ratio is absolutely ridiculous, the meals are slow and unrecognizable at times. You do not see management on the floor helping or doing much of anything except sitting in their offices. There is no nurse for the facility, the workers and administrators can walk past you and not say anything, again do not be fooled by the looks this is one of the most poorly ran facilities I’ve encountered. I would never put my parents in a facility like this.

SERVICE NOT GOOD AT REGENCY AT AUGUSTA

Staff are not accommodating, not friendly and service (even in serving their meals) is so slow. High turn over of staff, which is not good for the residents living there. They didn’t recognize my presence in spite of the fact that I was the one who facilitated the residents admission in their facility & there was document supporting my request. Pls call if you want more details of their service. Tnx

Kicked My Husband Out of Memory Care Due To One Occurrance of Aggression.

Did not try to work with patient’s family or Doctor to try and adjust his meds so as to reduce aggression. Gave patient and family 14 day notice, but would not let the patient come back to the facility during those fourteen days unless he had a private paid (by family) caregiver round the clock.

Administrative staff and family support

The administrative staff is extremely slow to process clients' paperwork and ignorant of the clients' needs and status/required support. My mother was still not in the computer after 2 weeks. The PT called about therapy for my mom 2 days after she died. They didn't follow the DNR directive because it "wasn't in the computer" even though it was in the hard copy file. Our family is facing huge hospital bills now. We paid over $[removed]when my mother was admitted. She died 5 days later. We're still waiting for the refund so we can pay the unnecessary/unexpected/unauthorized hospital bills. The director said she would "take care of the refund" when she called to tell me my mother died. It's been 3 months. The staff on the floor is good.
