Pacifica Senior Living

My mom has been here for about 5 years now. Overall very happy with the caregivers and the wellness nurses. They are always very attentive and they really know my mom. However, she has been very unhappy with the food for a long time and I have heard the same thing from other ladies she's friendly with. These women have been making good dinners for their families for decades and know what's "recycled meatloaf into spaghetti sauce" when they see it. Even on a budget, which most of them are VERY familiar with, it seems you could come up with more flavorful, creative meals. Having a good meal is something they should look forward to. We've had a number of frustrating experiences with the inconsistencies in how our father is cared for. Would be willing to speak with someone if needed

It's been fine. They are being taken care of well enough and better than we could, but there has definitely been some issues along the way. For example: my mom is supposed to get a shower and she's having dementia more and more. They will say, "It's time for your shower", and she will say, "Come back later". They'll then write down - "declined shower". In her head she thinks she has that power and that they'll come back later, but they don't. So it's just a miscommunication and what we want is for them to give her a shower and not allow her to choose. It's a learning process, but they've been there for a year and a half and we are figuring things out. Overall it's been a good place; they're feeding them and they're safe. My mom has fallen a couple of times and they responded very quickly. They are getting good care there.

The grounds of Pacifica Senior Living are nice but they do need to be worked on which is our understanding they are being worked on now. They do have some really great food there for the residents, that has been a good experience so far.

this is a nice community, the staff is helpful and friendly and the other patients are all pleasant. Its not where I have chosen to be, but for all intentional purpose I am doing well

Our family is happy with our choice to have mom at Pacifica for her care. The staff kept us informed and really seemed to care about her needs. The smaller "pod" environment was the best option for her, instead of the larger, multistory facilities.

Chesapeake Place Senior Living is a beautiful facility - the staff and residents living there are just awesome. Everyone is extremely friendly, super nice and very very helpful. However, the food they have can use improvement - the quality could be so much better. They do not serve the residents many vegetables and what vegetables they do get served looks like they come straight from a can as opposed to be fresh.

Our experience: Due to inadequate staffing I would give them a fair rating. Our mom is at the end of the hall and gets looked over a lot. The cleanliness of her room, bathroom, is poor. The staff tries but for the amount of people at the facility they need to be fully staffed at all times.

This is a nice place. My loved one enjoys it here. I believe your loved one would be happy here and I would recommend the community for your loved one. The staff communication is pretty good with the family.

When I was told I would need to fine a new "home", I was fortunate to find Pacifica where the management and particularly the staff help make living here a treat. I have not seen another senior living facility that is so high goal setting that makes residents comfortable!

I thought the facility was nice. But it was considerably more expensive than the place we chose. Plus, their memory care was just a section of the building, and the facility seemed to be geared more toward assisted living. I felt a dedicated memory care facility would be better in my mom’s case.

Everything is fantastic over there except for the admin department they don't communicate. Takes a bit to get maintainable but everyone slow now with lack of people. He has a second chance at life and is so overly beyond grateful to your Company and the Meridian. It seriously has been a gift and could not be more perfect. The time you spent with us which was well over a year was definitely worth it! He is doing better than he has been in the last year I attribute that to the care and attention he has been given at the Meridian. This is a new champ text and most likely the final chapter and I am so happy you helped me make this happen for our family. You truly have been instrumental in helping us find the Golden Ticket, the Meridian Laguna Hills
