The staff, including the administrator and the nursing coordinator, as well as the kitchen and activities team, were very good to us. In the end, it wasn't a good experience because my mom doesn’t speak English and the night shift was mediocre. Additionally, someone stole her Social Security card and license.

The management is not very welcoming of outside input and direction such as from hospice. They don't follow orders very well. The floor staff are nice but seem to have a hard time following directives for patient care such as masks during COVID outbreaks.

I feel like the people were nice. However, we had continous problems with meds and what they promised they could do (AND the reason we chose them) they couldn't deliver.

The staff tries hard but when my father was there (2022) the facility has trouble keeping the Director position filled. The assistant director was great but she wasn't always there. It was impossible for a family member to get a staff person on the phone any time of day. The cleanliness rated a "2" due to the constant smell from those that were incontinent and needed a higher level of care.

Food left in room 3 days while my loved one was in hospital. The staff didn't take my loved one to activities. The food portions too small and not good looking. They would not pick up my loved one from hospital after their stay.

In our family's experience with Country Gardens of Duluth, we have found that while the staff are courteous, they are also sometimes slow to respond to requests.

The food here was terrible and inadequate. My loved one lost weight when he really needed to gain it. I do think it is a good value for the money and all of the staff members were very friendly during our stay. The food just became too big of an issue for us.

Older facility that doesn't compare to the Country Gardens at Dunwoody facility. Across the street from the library so no need for in house library. Surprised that most residents rooms had their doors open during their dinner hour. Some of former residents had changed the closet to a kitchenette at their own expense in the smaller rooms. Some rooms did not have their own thermostat to control heat and air, which was dependent on which hallway the room was located. Staff seemed friendly enough.

The only issue is the menu, they were very deceiving in the brochure stating that they have certain items and they do not. Overall the care and cleanliness is very good and she is getting a good level of the care she needs.

Small environment but I felt the rooms were somewhat dated. Lisa was a gracious host.

no memory care section. good location, nice people, men dad's age he would enjoy. Nice room - Magnolia - 430 sq ft. Older decor - they say their food is exceptional and that the chef spends time with the guests getting feedback. Very small courtyard but nice front porch area. Liked the feel. A little larger than CY/LS but not by much.

I live in Iowa and Mom is in Florida. My sister did all of the leg work, touring several facilities. The folks at Baytree were qiute accomadating. I had the chance to visit after Mom had moved in and found the facility to be just what my Mom needed. The personel were very friendly and able to answer all of our questions. Our Mom has adjusted well and enjoys the activities.

Mom wasn't too happy there. They got her up every morning at 6:30 when she normally sleeps until 9 or later, They also did not help her with her CPAP machine like they were supposed to and she ended up not using it while she stayed there for a week. She said the food was ok but not great.

My mother has been dropped, left for over 6 hours the day after leaving the hospital for a UTI, this is normal every day that she's been there. She still doesn't have a call pendant, she's having to use her phone to call the caregivers. She call but no one ever comes. She was sick today with horrible stomach issues and not once but twice, she was left in her filth for over 2 hours!! This is NOT a good place. I was visiting one day and one of the male residents was screaming back and forth with one of the caregivers. The man said he was tired of her hurting him. She was screaming back at him calling him a liar and a lot of other things. He was crying. The doctor at the hospital that treated my mom after they dropped her, didn't want to send her back there. She's covered in bruises. She's afraid of me getting into trouble so she won't say how she got them. This place needs a top down redo. Now we're stuck there. We have no more money to move her.

I on occasions take my dad to Country Gardens for Senior Daycare to give myself a break. I am his caregiver. I am really disappointed with country gardens due to them not changing my dad diaper. He wears diapers and I specifically told [Removed] that they need to check him from time to time. When I went to pick my dad up after 8 hours he was soaked. They did not use none of the diapers I sent with him. This is my third time picking him up like this. Its bit free and I pay for a service I am not getting, therefore I will not be going back to them.

This is an assisted living facility. The building is 25 years old, and all units are 1 room suites with small refrigerators. [Removed] is just not ready for this yet. But, the people were very nice, and it was good to educated about assisted living (here) vs. retirement community/indepednent living with personal care options (elsewhere).

I left and came home. There were just too many people involved. It was too big a place, they had too many people to take care of and not enough staff. There just wasn't enough personal care.

Spot checked my fathers medications and found someone else's meds mixed in with his. I received assurance he was not administered the meds but I was extremely disappointed it happened.
The weekend help is awful. I used my fathers call button and it took 30 minuted for someone to respond. They said they were on break. Unacceptable!
I dropped in to visit one day and my father's wheelchair was missing. I found it near the dining facility. Not sure why he wasn't returned to his room in his wheelchair or why they did not return it.
All assisted living facilities are essentially the same. The money goes to the upper management and sales. The real help is very low paid workers who are trying to make ends meet. Sometimes you get lucky and the people genuinely care but often the help just aren't paid enough to care.
I recommend wherever you place your loved one stay involved and be VERY nosey. Never come at the same time every day or during the week. Keep the staff guessing when you will be there and when they deserve it, be a huge pain in their [removed].
Lastly, my father died 7 days into the month. The month was already paid in full and I was told I would be refunded the pro-rated amount for the month. It took 1 month to get the refund and I felt it was short. I spoke with the facility and they agreed I had been shorted several hundred dollars. It took another month to be given the difference.

I would not place someone I hated there. It's horrible. Dinner is two slices of white bread, a slice of lunch meat, jello and potato chips every day. There are people up at all hours of the day screaming. The staff takes forever to assist if help is needed. The rooms aren't cleaned weekly as promised. Laundry has to be requested over and over to get picked up ( the lady who does it does a great job), prescriptions are supposed to be filled at breakfast - often they are not and my mom had to ask over and over, and people go to eat at the allotted times and sometimes need to sit there and wait for over an hour to get their food. The halls smell like grime and feces. My mother made a friend who said she lost 45 lbs over the months she has been there. My mother also lost considerable weight - we have been bringing her food and snacks weekly. And you get one small coffee at breakfast with no refill. Staff also congregates in the halls laughing and loudly talking at all hours of the night. They also go into people's rooms while folks are dining or at odd hours of the night. If the resident makes a sound they sneak away. You can't even lock your own door unless you are in the room. And they still sneak in. We are actually discussing calling the health department as people are mistreated there. We saw a half naked lady screaming for help in the hall. My wife is a nurse - she reported it to a staff member - they were in no hurry to assist.
