Good, friendly tenants and staff. That's what stood out. The location great with T railway across the road and ground transportation provided. My studio is plenty big for me alone with all the amenities.

For items 1 thru 7 I would give each a 5. For #8 I would have to give it a 4 Reason is that I was told we would not receive rental increases to be a bit more than the COLA. However my very first increase...

What stood out the most is how friendly the staff and residents are to everyone. And how clean everything is. There are many activities daily.

What we like the most about Monarch Spring Meadows in the friendliness of the staff but the food could be improved. Yes, we would recommend the community to other families based on the experience so far.
Life is all about balance. That is why our community is strategically located in a small, suburban New England town in the well-regarded Fairfield County area. This means you have a small community feeling while still being close to major attractions and mass transit to New York City.Connections...

Quality of care is excellent. Room sizes vary. My sister's room is large. Others are smaller. Activities are fair. They have a guitar player come in several times a week and the staff also keeps them...

We liked the general feeling, the physical presence, it was built for assisted living rather than converted like a lot of others. They have one thing they do bad, they don't respond to the emergency bell very quickly. On two occaisons it took fifteen minutes to respond.

This community is brand new, when we toured it wasn't even open for residents yet. It was gorgeous! Like what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel! Unfortunately since Mom has some specific care needs we wanted something more proven, even though this community would have been accepting residents by the time Mom needed her respite stay.

This place was interesting! The staff was very friendly, and professional, and it was clean and well kept. It had a very sleek, and modern look. My loved one said it reminded them too much of a hotel, which was a negative for them, but I thought it was nice. Also, the resident dog was amazing. I know you can't pick a community based off an animal, but it was tempting!

We toured this community when looking for Mom, and it looked lovely. It was brand new, so new it wasn't quite ready for residents yet when we toured. Also it was VERY expensive.

They've been great so far, my parents have been in there since March. Mom and Dad moved into the assisted living, but Mom was moved to memory care immediately. I feel like it may not as stimulating as Alzheimer's patient needs, her mental state seems to have deteriorated since she's been there. It is safe, and clean. The cost has gone up since we started, they are not forthcoming about pricing. My main contact in memory care unit is more like activities director, and I expected someone who would know more about Alzheimer's care specifically. A major factor in our decision was that they allowed Mom and Dad to live together despite Dad not needing the same care.

My brother and I toured this community when we were looking for assisted living for my parents. We liked this one a lot, it was very clean compared to some of the locations my brother had seen. We ended up settling on another location, but this one was very nice.

This was a nice community, but it didn't provide the sort of care we wanted for my Mom, who needed a more progressive setting. It was also more expensive than we were willing to pay for the services we saw.

Overall I am thrilled with this facility and my mom has adapted well. However, I do feel like once the paperwork was signed they moved on to the next potential resident and someone pushed me to the back burner. The facility is very clean and everyone is quite friendly, but like other facilities (I guess) I feel like I am being nickel and dimed after the fact. My mom has adapted well to the environment and I would have a difficult time moving her at this point, but if the cost keeps going up as it has over the past few months I will have to entertain that option.

They are very friendly and professional. I guess the value is good, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. The care is quite good and so are the activities. They have stuff for the brain, stuff for the body, and creative things. They have people get together over card games and other sorts of board games. They show movies often. They have outings about once a month. They have a 9:30am exercise class everyday. It's a good amount and I think the staff who run the activities are especially skilled and gifted for the job. There are a few ways they could improve. The cooking could be better. It is very salty, obviously it's not appropriate for elderly people to have such a salty diet. My mom likes the food but I would like to see more healthy choices, less sugar, less salt and more fresh vegetables. The other think I want to see is for them to develop a walking trail better than what they have now. The residents don't walk enough so they move into wheelchairs more quickly than they need to. I'd like to see something to really promote walking on a daily basis. They need a place to walk and people to walk with.

The leaders at brandywine truly helped us make the difficult decision to have my mom enter the memory care unit. Their daily calls to answer any and all questions was greatly appreciated. Made us feel good that mom would be taken care of.

We just moved in our parents after months of trying to convince mom & dad of a better life at Brandywine. At first the marketing staff was extremely helpful in explaining the transition from independent living to assisted living. since then she placed mom & dad seamlessly which relieve me of many issues. After the move the entire staff was very gracious and helpful with every step. The actual move in day was also a breeze. So far I'm quite delighted at all the attention mom & dad have been receiving & they love the food!

I am pleased with the care that my mother has received so far. There are a few things that had /have to be addressed, but nothing major. It is comforting to know there are people who care for you and your concerns as well as the person who is living there. The majority of the aides are caring, compassionate and gentle. My mother likes the food and especially their soups.

It's a lot of money but I know it's the going rate, it just seems like a lot. There's nothing that they're doing wrong. She just doesn't want to participate but they make every effort. It's money well spent because for the first time in a long time my husband and I could sleep at night without worrying. It's money well spent, it's just a lot of money. We've eaten there and the food is excellent. There are lots of activities. She has macular degeneration so she can't participate in a lot of them but they have barbeques and music, games and bingo. They play games like family feud and things to jog their memory. They have exercise classes that are appropriate for older people. They have a great deal! They're in the process of overhauling the whole place. Their painting and new rugs and furniture are coming.

All assisted living facilities are very expensive. There is the Inn and the Garden. The activities in the Garden are a 5 but upstairs I can't rate. There seems to be a huge turnover in administrations. That needs to be inproved. My mother is doing fine there.
