I highly recommend Brandywine Senior Living at Fenwick Island!

This absolutely stunning facility offers high quality services and many accommodations that you just cannot find at any other facility. My husband and I researched many places prior to coming to Brandywine Senior Living at Fenwick Island and found that none compared to the services offered here. The activities are exciting and engaging and the staff are most helpful. I truly feel like I am at home at Brandywine.

Perfect Place

My relative lives at Brandywine/Howell and it is the most perfect place for her. She has a large lovely apartment for herself; however, you hardly ever find her in it. She is always out and about with her new friends enjoying the entertainment, singing, going to the movie theater or sitting outside on the veranda chatting. There are no more worries about keeping up with the housekeeping and laundry. Mealtime is located in a lovely dining room with an ever-changing menu that is delicious and filling. The dessert cart has many tempting goodies to choose from and the wait staff is very accommodating. The in-house nursing department is staffed by the most understanding, caring people. They quickly make time to talk with you whenever a question arises. Brandywine is a beautiful facility that makes you feel at home. As soon as you walk inside you see the loveliest floral arrangement and quickly greeted by the friendliest receptionist. Everyday there are numerous activities and entertainment offerings with an energetic and enthusiastic staff. When I started the search for an assisted-living facility, I became quite overwhelmed visiting so many places. Brandywine/Howell stood out from the others and Brittney helped me above and beyond with all my issues. Quite honestly everyone I have met there have always been eager to help and cheerful. Brandywine/Howell is a perfect place for my relative!

Impressive

In need of assisted living for my father in law, my wife and I were referred to Brandywine Assisted Living. On visiting Brandywine we were stuck by the elegance and warmth of the facility. You really have to see it to believe it. Brandywine has the feel of a high end apartment building. Most anyone would feel comfortable as soon as they walked in the door. I certainly did. The administrative staff went to great lengths to understand my father in law’s financial situation and medical needs. They presented a residency plan that was easy to understand and addressed all of his medical and physical needs. They also helped formulate a financial plan that ensured that his resources would provide for his care for the rest of his life. The resident care staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They genuinely care about the residents and their interactions with them are those you would expect from good friends. On the day my father in law moved in to Brandywine, every member of the staff he encountered addressed him by name. We later learned that the staff had been briefed on who my father in law was as well as some particular issues and concerns dealing with his personal safety. Clean, comfortable, safe, friendly, great staff, lots of activities…In Brandywine we found what we were looking for. My father in law is comfortable and happy and we know that he is safe and well cared for. Our entire experience with Brandywine has been, in a word, Impressive.

My parents moved to Brandywine Senior...

My parents moved to Brandywine Senior Living at Seaside Pointe in August, 2012. My mom lives in the assisted living section and my dad lives in the Reflections (memory impaired) area. If you are looking for a comfortable atmosphere, caring staff, plenty of activities for your loved one and 24 hour nursing - I highly recommend Seaside Pointe. They offer many levels of care depending on your loved one's needs. And I can't say enough about the management staff and the rest of the team. They truly do treat each and every resident as if they were family. When you stop by Brandywine Senior Living at Seaside Pointe, you will see why "life is beautiful"

Brandywine is devine!

This past April, my 93-year-old aunt moved into Brandywine Senior Living at Seaside Pointe located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. A recent health crisis resulted in her not being able to live on her own any more. The nursing staff and personal aides at Brandywine who care for my aunt are absolutely wonderful and have always treated her with the upmost kindness, compassion, and dignity. In fact, all of the staff at Brandywine, including the administrative, dining room, and maintenance personnel who oversee daily operations, help to make this assisted living facility a cheerful, attractive, clean, and pleasant environment for all residents and their guests to enjoy. The provision of complementary van transportation to take residents to and from their doctors' appointments and on day outings also is a terrific benefit. Because I see my aunt on a regular basis, I know firsthand the level of quality care she is receiving at Brandywine, and I would highly recommend it as an assisted living facility.

Highly recommend !

My mom has been in Brandywine for a little over a year and since it is in my hometown, I visit at least twice a week. Whenever I walk in I am always greeted by the wonderful staff and charming receptionist. Everyone that works there is very helpful and always pleasant. My mom's room is always clean and she loves it! I have lunch with her often and so do some of her friends who come to visit her. They have a good menu to chose from and the food and service is very good. The nurses administer my mom's medication so there is never a problem. I take great comfort in knowing that she is very well cared for at Brandywine and would recommend the facility to anyone who has a loved one who is in need of assistance.

Lucky to find respite at Brandywine

I was very lucky that Brandywine at the Savoy had room for me on short notice. I am 68 years old and my co-op apartment building had a catastrophic electrical fire. It would be months before the apartments would be re-built, and I was looking for a safe and convenient place to live temporarily. I have osteoarthritis in both knees and require a walk-in shower. After a week at a hotel, I remembered Brandywine from looking for assisted living communities for my parents. Fortunately, Brandywine had a “respite” apartment available. The staff went out of their way to ensure that I had an appropriate desk and chair for my computer set-up, that my bed was comfortable, that the bathroom had grab bars in place so I did not slip and fall, etc. Brandywine is a family-friendly, safety-conscious, and resident-centered community, and I am happy to be here.

My Father-In-Law at Brandywine in Howell, New Jersey.

Brandywine at Howell, NJ is a marvelous facility! My father-in-law has been a resident at Brandywine (in the Reflections Segment for those needing more full-time care & attention) for almost 3 years. This is certainly the, RIGHT PLACE FOR HIM! The medical care from the nursing staff is excellent (They are in touch with my Father-In-Law's doctors regularly and notify the doctors if they notice any changes of behavior)! Whenever there is an incident resulting in a fall, we are immediately notified by phone from a nurse on duty! There are numerous activities provided each day by the staff, which are designed to stimulate the synapses in the brain and to engage the residents with movement exercise through music and song. The cost per month is less than other Assisted-Living Facilities: as we checked prices out from several other facilities in northern New Jersey as well as locally in Monmouth County. The food is wonderful with choices of entrees at EVERY meal! There are snacks each afternoon at 2:00 pm, as well. The Administration as well as the staff who are working right along with each resident are: knowledgeable; willing to talk with family for guidance as to the likes and dislikes of the resident; caring; genuinely nice people; and NEVER, lose their sense of humor! A good laugh goes a long way. Hospice is warmly received at Brandywine. My Father-In-Law has a Hospice person 5 days per week and David has truly made a difference for my Father-In-Law. Brandywine really has helped us to provide my Father-In-Law with the best possible situation for him and to make his life-style meaningful and rewarding! Overall, Brandywine is rated 5-STARS by me! Brandywine is family-friendly and has activities each-and-every-month for the family of residents to attend. They are certainly pro-active when it comes to interweaving family/resident/and facility into one unit with the same goal: provide the resident with the best care possible!

Highly recommend Brandywine

My mother lived in Reflections at Brandywine for over 2 years. My sister and I researched and visited all assisted living facilities in the area. We found Governor's Crossing to be the perfect fit. Our mother was well cared for and comfortable. The staff is always comforting and engaging with the residents. There are always activities or just quiet time depending on the residents choice. I know we made the right choice.

Excellent experience at The Gables

My brother-in-law has been living at The Gables for almost 4 years. His only complaint is that the food is too good and he is gaining weight... of course, he's kidding (but the food is really good)! I am sure he is happy because when I visit him, he is watching the clock and sort of nudges me to leave because I'm cutting into his activity time... he'd rather "play" than talk to me. The staff has been great... they are always pleasant and attentive. The building and grounds are lovely and well-maintained.

Caring and compassion that goes above and beyond

If you are looking for a senior living home with compassionate, motivated, friendly and truly loving and caring staff and residents, Brandywine Senior Living at the Gables should be at the top of your list. When you speak to any one of the staff at Brandywine, you get the feeling that they love their jobs and the residents. My Mother and Father began their life at Brandywine in January of this year as a couple. Unfortunately, after just 3 weeks, my Dad became ill and passed away. We truly believe that visits to the hospital by the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director helped my Father to let go knowing that the love of his life would be well cared for. The compassion and support shown to my Mom, my sister, and I (who both live out of state) by the staff and residents during my Dad's illness, his passing, and the following month while we stayed with my Mom to settle their estate and prepare their home in order to sell it, was above and beyond. From the simplest gestures of a smiling face, warm good morning greeting and much needed hugs to packing lunches for us to take with us as we cleaned out my parents house, and helping us move furniture, the staff was there for us for whatever we needed. We only had to ask for whatever we needed and they were happy to help. Often times we didn't even need to ask, they just seemed to know what we needed and offered their assistance. Today, 6 months later, while we are all still grieving the loss of my Dad, my sister and I are comforted knowing that my Mom is slowly finding her way without her husband of 56 years with the help of the staff and other residents at Brandywine. Not only does she have new friends and activities to fill her days, we all have the comfort of knowing that should Mom need any type of medical care, a friendly ear or assistance with anything, she has that available to her 24 hours a day. A true blessing for all of us.

For a Mom who wanted nothing to do with Assisted Living - She LOVES IT!!

I also cannot say enough about Brandywine at the Gables. I believe the below review has it confused with Brandywine at Reflections which is around the corner. Gables is not for dementia residents but Brandywine at reflections is, two separate places. My Mom has been living at the Gables for about 8 months. My Mom wanted nothing to do with assisted living and fought us every step of the way. My siblings and I all work and she was living alone with someone that came in a few hours to cook and do light house work. She fell twice and broke her hip twice. The second time, we insisted that she try assisted living. We searched many facilities and I think angels led us to Brandywine. I cannot say enough about their staff. My mom was in recovery from the second hip at rehab. After researching and visiting what seemed like every Assisted Living in NJ, my siblings and I landed on Brandywine. We registered my mom while she was still in rehab since we did not want her to return home alone. The staff at Brandywine, who never even meet my Mom, traveled to the rehab to visit and brought her a welcome basket, to make her feel like she was coming home. She had complications from her hip surgery and Brandywine's head nurse called us several times a week concerned about Mom and giving us great advice. When the day came for Mom to move into Brandywine, she resisted, she did not want to go. That was 8 months ago. Mom now considers Brandywine her home. She loves the staff, the food and her apartment. She decorated it with her things and furniture and feels right at home. The staff takes great care in tending to her Medical, Social and Mental health. She was extremely depressed when she went into Assisted Living and the staff at Brandywine has turned her around. She walks better, she looks better, she feels better both physically and mentally. she loves it and that is such piece of mind for me and my family. You need to really visit and see this place for yourself - if you are considering putting your parent into Assisted Living, I would only recommend Brandywine. We looked at many, but they are the only place that felt like home for Mom.

Wonderfully Warm and Caring Staff....

My grandmother recently spent time in a rehab facility. I felt that after discharge she would benefit from a short stay in an assisted living community to assist in gradually getting her back to her independence. I visited a few assisted living communities but just didn't feel a connection or warmth from staff. Brandywine was different. From entering the community until the end of my tour, I saw happy faces both on the staff and residents alike. Everyone was accomadating and every question and concern were addressed. My grandmother was more than pleased with my decision to bring her to Brandywine and she enjoyed her stay immensely! I would not hesitate to recommend Brandywine whether its a temporary or permanent stay!

A Wonderful Village

A beautiful community! My mother has lived here for nearly a year and feels so much at home. She had moved here from a Nursing Home and has rebounded to her old self. She is supported by very active and caring caretakers. Throughout the day, everyday, there is a very complete activity schedule in which she and so many of her neighbors participate. The dining room is lovely and comfortable, and more so, the food is top rate = delicious. The community feels like a village, the staff are invested in making a supportive and caring environment for their 'villagers', and this was by far my favorite facility out of the numerous ones visited in choosing the next living situation for my Mom needing Assisted Living.

Mom's new home

After many years of living alone in her home, Mom moved to Brandywine after breaking her hip. My sisters and I were concerned for her well-being - physical and emotional - and Mom made the decision to move to Brandywine. Within a short period of time, we saw her former "social self" re-emerge! She made new friends and joined in numerous daily activities. The staff are caring, friendly, and willing to do whatever it takes to make their residents comfortable and happy. We no longer have to worry about Mom's safety or her feelings of isolation. She couldn't be living in a better place.

Difficult decision, great choice!

My mother-in-law has been at Brandywine for 10 months and we have had no complaints. When the final choice was made, Kiley and Lisa made the move as painless as possible. They walked us through each step and were careful to include Mom in the discussions. Mom has settled in well and has made friends which was her major concern as she is a quiet woman. She likes the food although she is not used to eating three big meals a day! The have weekly trips to local stores, banks and library. They have scenic rides and frequent entertainment. The staff is polite and caring and the nursing staff is great. Always an RN on duty which isn't the case in many other facilities. The front desk staff is also excellent. They know all the residents by name and interact well with them. So far we and she are very pleased!!

Living with dignity

My husband and I started researching on line for an assisted living facility for my parents. That search led to four potential facilities. We visited all four facilities, several times focusing on available care, staff interaction and demeanor, meals, apartment size, programs, atmosphere and cost. Cost between all on the surface was close. All other services appeared similar. Brandywine started to out shine all others with their assessment form. It was all inclusive with no surprises. It detailed what the cost would be for my parents current required care, and anticipated future cost should their care level needs increase. We visited Brandywine many times and spoke with Associates, Directors, Nurses, CNA's and Aids. We found all to be very personable and professional. My Parents have been living at Brandywine going on four months and It Is very comforting to see how warm, friendly and professional all are to them both. Physical care, food, entertainment, activities far exceeds all our expectations. The time and extra steps taken by the staff to make them comfortable is commendable.

A Brandywine Believer

My dad, who is 96, has been living at Brandywine for eight months. Since I live in Florida and he lives in NJ, his care has been a challenging situation for me. The team at Brandywine has been the answer. Every staff member works to make his life better and easier. The dining room staff, nurses, administrators, and caregivers are simply the best. They give me peace of mind every day, knowing my dad is well cared for. There is one special person however, who really oversees things for me. Her name is Terri O'Brien. She is the Director for Community Relations and initially introduced me to Brandywine. She looks in on my dad several times a day and either calls or emails me with updates. I appreciate everyone at Brandywine and commend them for doing such an excellent job.
