Without getting too nitpicky about it I would say overall this place is good. There are a few things I think they could improve on, but overall I'm satisfied with the choice I made. I looked at a few different options in the area, and I would still pick this place again if I had a second chance.

They really have tried to do their best given the current circumstances, and everyone there has been vaccinated which is really nice. They do keep it pretty clean, and house keeping comes in every couple weeks to their individuals rooms. The staff members are really great, we do think the meals are good and they do have quite a bit of activities still, but they had to shut a majority of them down.

This community looked nice when I visited, however it felt like it was made cheaply. It felt like it would look worn in a few years. It had awful carpet and it seemed they did the minimum amount of construction. Due to the cheap looking construction I was wondering if this was the kind of care the residents would receive.

My Mother lives at this Mansions at Sandy Springs. I'm baffled how this site has 5 stars for the food. Mom says sometimes the meals are OK, but they are usually subpar. Everything else there seems very nice.

It was okay. it was a long hallway and the dining room was way in the back. They did not have too many activities rooms. The location was in a busy area, so safety wise it was not a safe area for walking.
I was able to have an in person tour and right when I walked through the entry way everything was just dead silence. There was nobody around, just nothing.
The Mansions at Decatur appeared to be a nice cozy community, which I Iliked, but the rooms were too small for me with little storage space. I really liked the individual porches or balconies of residents.

The first year the staff and owners promised a great experience. The facility is very clean and well maintained as it opened in 2016. The facility is appointed and decorated to present a very inviting atmosphere. No real exercise room or areas for small (10-15) person gatherings. The lobby and dining room are used for everything, Activities are very limited as the Activity Director is not engaged. Significant turnover in the staff including the director. Food quality, presentation and selection is well below what was promised. As everyone knows, the food experience is a major part of any senior community and the Mansions at Alpharetta falls way below expectations. With 12 other senior communities within 10 miles of this facility I would not recommend this facility.

Welcoming, bright, clean wide halls. No theater, but they are close by. No pool. A bit of sticker shock. Full kitchen (not really needed), no walking path, very small, incomplete fitness area.

We liked this new construction location nearest our current neighborhood. Opening is not till 8/1 so we could not get a good feel for how it is going to be when finished. The meal plan is for 3 meals a day and that does not fit our lifestyle.

The Mansions has some wonderful amenities and some of the staff are truly wonderful. I would not, however, recommend them as I feel like their business practices are a bit suspect. When my sister and I moved my mom into Independent Living, we knew there was the chance mom would soon need more. In chatting with the sales team, they assured us that Assisted Living was right next door and moving between them was easy. About two months after my mom moved in, she caught pneumonia, then the flu, and then suffered a heart attack (taking her down to about 20% of normal heart capacity, resulting in congestive heart failure). She needed Assisted Living. When we inquired about the move, we were told that we'd need to give 60 days notice (paying the rent for those months) and cover all comps. Turns out that Assisted Living was now owned by a different company -- mom was there for only two months, and I believe the change in ownership happened before she moved in.
Went for a tour of the community I found it to be a bit stuffy. I did not get a good feeling about the community. The marketer was cold and not very informative. We had lunch and I've had better. Would not recommend, too expensive

We took a tour back in January staff seemed nice. Especially the driver she seemed very good and friendly as well as highly recommended by residents when asked (Parents no longer drive). On the other hand when introduced to the director she seemed very cold which put us off to doing anything at the moment. Waiting staff was really nice food was good. The director just didn't leave a good impression.

The visit was rather interesting. We met [name removed]. She gave us a tour of the facility. The rooms were bright and open, very nice. I was unsure of [name removed] sincerity, grey. I have a great sense of people's aura's and the Director, [mame removed] is a really dark one. I really got good reads on the residents though. But given the auras of those that are running the place, I would back out for now. New management perhaps.

My loved one has been for over seven years. Unfortunately, I've noticed a rapid decline, and it’s really disheartening. The staff used to be joyful, and the Director was amazing, but things have changed a lot—none for the better. It’s best to talk with a Resident when the staff isn’t around to get an honest perspective. The food quality has dropped significantly, and housekeeping can be hit or miss. It’s so sad to see where things have gone, especially as my loved one used to be so happy there.I wish I could move my loved one out, but it’s all she can afford. With the impending rent increases, I know I’ll need to step in financially.

Looking for a place for my mom. Read the reviews posted, then stopped by unannounced and spoke to several residents sitting out front. The reviews are very accurate- food service is horrible, management does not respond to problems, housekeeping is minimal, and maintenance services not up to par. One resident expressed that the elevator frequently breaks down. Another said they often have water leaks that flood the apartments. Another resident shared that the current Executive Director (who only worked 4-5 months) has left. This is number 5 or 6 in the last 5 years. They are not aware of a replacement. Just as important, rent increases are steep and the residents do not see any value from paying more. It seems the Mansions Management Company that runs the complex does not have qualified or engaged staff.

CAUTION...It's not what you think it is. Management (corporate) is horrible. "Problems are not created overnight and cannot be fixed quickly" - HA....Problem is Corporate. Really do not care, they give good lip service (should run for President), but do not give a hoot and do not work to correct issues. Staff turnover is so high you may not see the same person more than once. No cleaning services- rooms are disgusting. Food service- cook takes your order cooks it and serves it then cleans up??? One person- really. BUT THEY SURE DO LIKE TO INCREASE THE RENT...."so they can pay people" HA. No management in building on weekends- just like Biden at the beach. WALK AWAY

Please do NOT put a family member here. I agree 100% with the other reviewers. They replaced the front staff with the rudest people they could find. You're lucky on a good day; they even greet you when you walk in. No warmth, no happiness. The place is so depressing. Just look at the resident's faces or better yet, ask them. The portions of food are so small and the cheapest things to make. Not healthy at all! “Award winning chef” is laughable, she probably quit too. The place has gone downhill and is very empty. I can't wait to get it my Dad out of there. Don't fall for their lies if you visit, please just stay far away.
