Our loved one was a resident at Cardinal View Senior Living before falling and needing to go to a rehab center due to an injury. His biggest complaint was the food. I think the activities are great, but our loved one chose not to participate. He did have an issue with the laundry service, but he is kind of picky. I'm not sure when he'll be back to this facility, but I would definitely recommend the facility to family and friends.

We've had a great experience overall. We had some cleaning room issues that I think have finally been resolved. It is one of the most welcoming places. Staff is amazing. Great food and lots of activities.

The people are friendly here. The rooms are a good size. The food is okay. There are food plans for the residents to choose from. There is also a menu available to order from, and specials for the day. There are a variety of activities for the residents to participate in and to socialize with other residents. There is Mass offered, game nights, and a presentation with snacks to name a few of the activities. There is a full kitchen in the apartments in Independent Living. The kitchen seems to be dark, since there are brown cabinets and dark green counter tops. Everything works fine. There is also a washer and dryer in the apartment with extra storage as well.

Round lake is very clean, friendly, and affordable compared to other facilities. The amenities and care with LyfeSpark and meal packages help take some of the responsibilities of the family when these transitions are already so tough. Round lake offers more pack levels which allows us to pay only for the care my father needs.

I would advise that their loved one be very alert and mostly able to take care of themselves. And that the friend or family member plan to check in often on the loved one to be sure that they are being cared for properly. To always follow up on the service being offered.

To be honest, we were over a barrel. Mom was going downhill, and fast. We got very lucky finding The Legacy of St. Anthony. We were in a bind, and they were very helpful. It was overwhelming at first.

We have experienced: friendly people, friendly, caring staff. It is more a community than just a place to live. I would definitely recommend it to others looking for assisted living.

We have been here for [time frame removed] after being in a other home and Boden is the most caring and competent.

I realize delivering food to each and every room is a problem, but the food has been less than mediocre. And then when we get it, it's cold. My husband will eat almost anything - I'm the picky one - but he doesn't like a lot of it. I will be more specific at the chef's meeting. On value for cost, I feel we should be able to work something out regarding meals. In all honesty, there are many meals we miss. Some days, we don't get any meals. I feel we are paying for meals we don't get. [name removed] and I are very happy here except for the meal issue which we hope gets resolved soon.

I would give the Staff, facility and services a 10, actually. I and my family could not have been more pleased with our experience with Mom at Elk Ridge. She spent her final days in a warm, caring, considerate and comfortable environment. And I am grateful for A Place for Mom as a resource, and for helping us to find this exceptional place for our Mom. Thank you!

My mom loves it there! I want to give them all 5's, but that would mean they're perfect. They definitely get 4's - for sure 5 in the friendly department and for overall experience. Based on our experience we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

What we really like about this community is the socialization, that is the best part. My mom was really lonely before. Adding OT and PT has been very beneficial as well. Now that I have some communication, I feel better about Kettle Park.

My Mother moved to Urbana Place in the Summer of 2022. We toured a lot of local senior living communities but chose Urbana Place for the general feel of the building and the employees and residents we encountered. The building is relatively new, and the Units are large and filled with light. Mom didn't want to leave her place, but needed additional care that a Senior Living Community provides. Having both Senior Living and Memory Care in the same building was also a positive. After only a couple weeks, mom came around and talked about how nice her place was. There is a sense of community at Urbana Place that extends beyond the employees to the other residents. Several of the residents went out of their way to welcome mom into the community and participate in some of the many activities that are planned every week. Being a picky eater (and creature of habit), Mom also liked the ability to order "off the menu" with a list of always available selections. Highly recommend.

It was a fairly quick and seamless process in terms of getting my loved one moved in. But some of the services were a little tricky to get set up (computer, phone, etc.) The apartment is very large and very nice. It has tall ceilings and wide doorways, so it's easy to get around. It's very modern and updated. The kitchen has marble countertops and brand new appliances. They do a good job with cleanliness/housekeeping. She's enjoying getting involved in the activities. In the limited interaction I've had with the staff, they've been friendly and accommodating, although there has been a little bit of a delay in them getting back to me. I like the fact that if she needs more care later on or if she needs to see a physician, they can do that on-site without her having to leave the facility.

Both my mom and mother in law love Polar! My mom is much more active now that she is living here. The communication between our family and Polar has been fantastic! Once my brother took my mom out to dinner and they forgot to sign her out. The staff called me to track her down!

This seemed to be an excellent community overall during the tour. We are very pleased with the experience so far. There are three meals a day served and the residents have choices to choose from. The staff communication with the family and friends is very helpful and responsive to questions and requests.

We were very happy with our tour experience at Elk Ridge. It was very comparable to the facility that we chose. The only reason we chose the other one was because they had an LPN that was on staff 24/7 which was hard to find anywhere else.

Kettle Park gave us a great tour. It was an amazing place, but my loved one said it was just too big for her.

Dad is happy here. They provide individualized care. There are a lot of staff available whenever he needs hep. The staff is very friendly. The food is good. He's able to visit my Mom, who is in their memory care section. They're very welcoming to him there, and he eats all of his meals down there with her, which is nice. They have a rooftop restaurant / lounge where they held a New Year's Eve party for the residents, with steak and seafood, which I thought was a pretty cool event.

The staff was extremely helpful especially with the transition to the facility. They offer lots of activities and even field trips. It seemed very clean to me. I would recommend it to others.
