I have a friend/family in this facility. She came from a smaller place and we loved all the storage space she has . Also if she wanted to make food she could . But she seems like the food mostly but she has a picky palate. I really love [name removed] she always. She always Helps me when I need anything done for her during these trying times. Kudos for keeping them all safe.

From the beginning of the pandemic, the Heritage at Clara Barton has gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and well being of my mother (and every resident) as well as to keep the families up to date, with not only transparency, but open lines of communication. As a healthcare worker myself, I appreciate the great strides they have been taken to protect those who are most vulnerable. Time and again, it has been “all hands on deck” doing whatever is necessary to assist the residents. The low positive COVID-19 numbers are a testimony to the immediate and continued implementation of mandated protocols! It has been 5 years since our mother has been residing at the facility and I have always been thankful for such a wonderful place for her to call home but even more so during this challenging time!

To Whom It May Concern: I want to send the strongest possible shout of approval and sincere thanks for the way that the amazing and caring staff at Heritage at Clara Barton (HCB) in Edison, NJ is caring for and protecting my father, [name removed], and all the other residents in this mixed Assisted Living / Independent Living facility. The manager, [name removed], and the head of nursing, [name removed], and their respective staffs have, throughout the pandemic gone to incredible ends to ensure the physical and mental health of the residents in their care. They have repeatedly extended themselves and gone beyond their job descriptions to serve our family members. They are ever aware and forward looking in terms of identifying and mitigating any risk that may impact the residents' well being. Operating within constraints and boundaries imposed by the state and their company, they nonetheless continuously push to provide every service and, especially, protection that they can. It is inconceivable to me that they could possibly try harder or do and accomplish more than they have been able and continue to do. My dad is completely thankful for the way the staff at Clara Barton has cared for him and the other residents throughout this crisis. The staff at HCB had built and maintained a positive, warm, healthy, and welcoming environment prior to the pandemic and have done truly wonderful things and gone to tremendous lengths to ensure the residents are protected and cared for since. I cannot say enough about how truly professional, caring, and heroic all the staff have been. My siblings and I can not be happier about how safe and well cared for my dad has been at HCB. Thank you.

They seem to be very organized. Anytime there has been a change we have received a phone call. They have excellent facilities for everyone. They looked great and saw people doing activities during the tour. They even had a physical therapy room. It was a great tour and they went through everything on the tour. Noreen Wendt was very knowledgeable and friendly with us during the tour.

We chose Hudson Hills because of the location and the cost. The room sizes are great. This facility has handled COVID extraordinarily well. They did have a few cases, but seemed to have less than other facilities in the NJ area. The communication with families was amazing during this time. I would absolutely recommend this community.

Beautiful place. Very clean and spacious. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Good value for facility and amenities.

My Mom has been living in the Heritage for the past 2 years. It has been a wonderful experience for her. Starting with [name removed] who is the Director and runs the whole place! She is wonderful and very welcoming and always has a smile on her face! I have gone to her many times and she is always there for me. Everything runs smoothly because of her!!! Next is the Nurses and Wellness Center. They are all Wonderful and are always there for my Mom! They work very hard and I do not know what I would do without them! They are all Angels! It is not easy doing their jobs, and I appreciate everyone of them! (I hope you all know who you are, I cannot name all because I do not want to miss a name! I care for you all very much!!!) Next is Dining Services which is run by [name removed]! What can I say about [name removed]? He does a Great job running Dining Services for all the Seniors who live there! His staff is great, food is delicious, and he knows how to run a holiday or special event!!! He also brightens everybody's day! That's including mine also!!! Thank you Victor for being you!!! You are a cutie!!! Everyone who works there are great. From all the aides, people who keep the facility clean and do all repairs to the physical therapists!!! I appreciate you all!!! Now lastly, to the two who keep the front desk going! [names removed]!!! What can I say but thank you for all the hard work you both have to put up with! From the phones to all the paper work and also for putting up with me!!! You are both very special people and have helped me through many days and problems!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Our experience with Heritage at Clara Barton has been a very good one! It's a nice looking, clean, well kept community, and the staff is very friendly! They've been very accommodating, and a big help to our family throughout the whole process.

My Mom has lived at The Heritage at Clara Barton for 3 years. Have always been very satisfied with the entire staff, awesome people, treat the residents with respect and the building is spotless. Lots of activities. During these trying times since COVID, there are no words to explain how they have impressed me. [names removed] to name a few . The entire staff came together to do all they could to keep the residents safe and also take care of their emotional needs during this hard time. They make an awesome team at The Heritage. I’m thankful for them everyday .

My Parents moved in to the Clara Barton Heritage Home almost two years ago in the independent living section. Overall the decision to move there was a great move. They have a nice apartment that serves their needs and the staff is friendly and helpful. Sadly my dad passed away recently and the coronavirus has cut off my access to visiting my mother when she needs me the most. My Mom and I are both comforted in knowing that the managers and staff are doing this to keep everyone safe from this horrible virus. I am able to drop off supplies for my mother as needed, I can see her in the lobby and know that she is doing well and they also provide assistance with FaceTime chats as needed.

I’ve been living for a few months and I really like the place The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve been able to get physical therapy on sight. My apartment is nice and I have lots of closet space.

[name removed] the manager was very helpful in making the transition for my brother . She answered all my questions and got back to me quickly when I had problems with the apartment before moving in. The only thing I find lacking is the amount of activities available for independent living individuals The people working there seem to be attentive to the residents

The peace of mind is priceless but it's very expensive for my family. But with that being said I would say a 4 - I wish the food was better or it would be a 5.

I'm in the Independent Living part of the facility. The best features are the friendly residents, the relatively low rent, and the location

For a senior living facility, there are no nice touches. WiFi doesn't work, so be prepared to pay for your ow. Food is good, but there is no dining roomSocial and Group events are limited to the assisted living facility on the higher floors. The residents are nice. Fantastic bagels are located within 400 feet, which gives this place an extra star.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Heritage of Clara Barton and the overall experience was good. Based on our experience, I would probably recommend The Heritage of Clara Barton to others.

Hudson Hills provides comprehensive services for patients, and they have shown great flexibility and understanding. They try their best to do a very hard job. They have not always been as communicative as I'd like them to be - and they seem to be experiencing shortages of staff, particularly home health aides and particularly in the evenings.

We chose Hudson Hills because they only had one available room with a shared room in memory care which made it more affordable. Everything was handed very quickly and we were able to move her in very quickly. From my observations, the food seems fine. They do seem to be flexible and accommodating with the menu choices as well. Another important feature is that they have a skilled nursing wing here as well if someone needs that care. I am very satisfied with our experience and I would recommend the community.
