Juniper Communities

I recently toured this community on a weekend. the executive director was available to me right at that moment to tour myself and my family members. The receptionist offered me a beverage. The tour went very well and the executive director was so sweet and knowledgeable, she made us all feel right at home. The community has so much character and history, I remember staying at this community when it was a hotel. All of the staff were smiling and laughing with the residents. Very impressed and highly recommend.

My brother and I put our parents in Juniper and we were pleased with the staff in the amount of time trying to coach our parents out of their room to join in activities. There are many things for them to do if they want to be active. The housekeeping staff and laundry staff did a great job as my Mom was a picky housekeeper herself. If a problem did arise the administration and staff was quick to take on the problem and rectify it promptly. Great staff and it was wonderful to get to know them by name. I'd highly recommend this place if your loved one needs a few helping hands.

They have done well with letting me know when I need to on what's going on. Being responsive with questions we may have or any information we may need from them or they need from us. It seems to me that I've sometimes had to give the same information to separate offices and it felt like they weren't all disseminating it. Other than that it seems to be going extremely well now. It took a little while to adjust, but right now my mother seems to be in excellent condition.

Overall we're very pleased with Harbour Assisted Living. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff here is very friendly and professional, and they do a great job looking after the residents. They are worth a look if you're looking into senior care in the area!

I am very glad I found Harbour for my dad to reside. It was definitely a good decision! He is happy there. The entire staff is helpful, cheerful, upbeat, concerned for the residents, competent and friendly. The whole place is very clean, doesn't smell, it's classy and it's like being in an upscale hotel. The caregivers get the residents out of their rooms and involved in various activities. They are well organized there. Also, the food is pretty good there. I've ate there several times. My dad is very pleased with the food and he hasn't missed a meal! When he first moved in, he stayed in his room and the caregivers brought food to him. After being there for only 3 weeks he found a girlfriend!!! LOL! I'm happy for him and happy he's there. I knew that was the place for him as soon as i walked in the door.

They do a fantastic job at The Devon. The level of attention, genuineness, and sincerity that they've showed my loved one have really impressed me. They've really gone out of their way to make sure that she stays active and involved. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they've got all sort of amenities to provide for the residents.

When I had to quickly find assisted living in the Lancaster area for my 91 year old mother that met my stringent requirements for safety, cost, convenience to where I lived, caring staff, cleanliness, social program, and pleasant living environment I turned to A Place for Mom for help. They provided me with 6 centers within my geographic search area. And after my evaluation based on my criteria, Juniper at Mount Joy was the best choice. Juniper gives you the feel of a first class hotel. My mother quickly blended in and loves where she's living. She's made friends quickly and after just a little over 3 weeks, she is cherished by the staff just as much as she cherishes them. That provides me with a peace of mind knowing that Juniper was the best choice for me and for my mom. I give Juniper at Mount Joy a maximum rating for any rating system of your choice.

They do a wonderful job at Emeritus at Paramus, our experience with them has been a very good one! The staff, without exception, are caring and professional people! From the people who work the late night reception, to the maintenance people, to the chefs! And the facility itself is very nice as well! It feels open and airy, and although the facility is near capacity it does not feel crowded at all. The residents here really seem to enjoy themselves, every time I have visited I see a lot of social activities going on, and a lot of smiling faces!

Very nice atmosphere. Like a hotel. Knew it was the right place for my dad when I walked in. Staff treats residents like their own parents. Very comfortable with him being there.

The facility is really clean and well kept up to date and maintenance. The people are all friendly and nice and the workers are too. They keep everything going smooth and if there is any problems their right there. It looks and feels like home and not some facility.

Harbour Senior Living is a godsend. I moved my parents from an independent living facility to Harbour as they needed additional assistance. There is always trepidation about putting loved ones needs in the hands of others, but this has been a incredible experience. The nursing staff has been wonderful - pushing back on bad medical care received in the ER, identifying possible next steps, carefully considering the financial challenges that face additional care. My parents had an exceptionally rough start when they were hospitalized for the flu and in my mother's case a serious intestinal problem and the flu. They were weakened and sent to skilled nursing for almost 3 weeks. Harbour staff monitored their care and came to assist in the move back. My mother was hospitalized again for congestive heart failure and they made helpful suggestions on management of this complicated condition. My dad is working his way back, but has difficulty with falling and PT was initiated. I feel that they are getting good care, good food (according to my very picky mom) in a comfortable homey environment. You really can't ask for more. My experience has been excellent and I feel it's important to acknowledge good care and service when given. This type of transition is something which many of us deal with and I'm not going to say any of this was easy, but the support in making the transition has been appreciated. I'm a clinical social worker and know the wide range of care provided in an assisted facility. This one is excellent, from the manager, to the nursing staff and all support staff.

My mom has only been at The Devon Senior Living a short time. However, so far I am very happy with her care, the friendliness of the staff and of the other residents.

My mother has been resident of Juniper Village of Chatham for about 2 years and I have to say that there has been nothing that she wants or needs that isn't provided. Mom receives the best care around the clock ,if needed,the food is of restaurant quality,and the service is great.the wellness staff has been very helpful in helping mom when she requires special attention.Overall this facility has gotten my vote and is recommended to any one that needs additional help with their loved ones.

I am a contracted professor who provides the residents a bi-weekly current events lecture. This facility is not only beautiful, but impeccable. The residents are friendly and inviting. The residents are well cared for and the relationships with staff are warm and friendly. When my mother needs assisted living there is no other place I would recommend, and I provide my services to other nursing and assisted living facilities.

I spent a month and a half at Juniper Village at Chatham during a respite stay recovering from a broken hip during late June, July and early August 2013. Most of the residents are a little younger than my parent's so my stay there was a lot like a very long cruise with parents. The residents are really interesting people and have lead quite diverse lives. It's a excellent facility with lots of activities to engage the residents. Some of the residents have cars and there are field trips with the Juniper bus for movies, shopping, church or visits to other local sites of interest. The staff is great and the food is excellent and there is an Ala Carte menu if you want something other than one of the two offerings at each meal. It's served by a wait staff in the dinning room and there are nice touches like cereal in the morning can be topped by bananas or berries depending on what is available. Now a days I'm a volunteer doing technical support to help residents with iPads, PCs, smart phones etc. Most of the staff I knew from my stay is still there. I am tremendously impressed with Juniper Village and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is considering assisted living or a respite stay.

I have been a geriatric mental health and special needs massage therapist for 25 years. This facility is by far the best community I have visited. The staff, the environment, and philosophy is excellent. Only wish there are more like it!

They have really taken care of my mom so well. We are so happy how she got to settle in. The level of contact they provide. I think it's because it's such a small Community, that they have a lot more hands on with their residents. It's very clean there. I am so glad A Place for Mom helped me find this place. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have found it myself.

We're very pleased with how things are going at Juniper Village, it's a very nice place and my loved one seems to be enjoying herself! The facility itself is clean and well kept, and everyone here seems very friendly. She is doing so much better now that she is getting some regular social interraction!

They do an excellent job at Juniper Village at Lebanon! The people here are all very friendly, and if you have any problem at all they get right on top of it. It's a nice looking, clean, well kept place, and it is somewhere I would recommend to others!
