Homewell Senior Care

Everything worked out very well. We were very pleased with this home care. My parents were very satisfied with the help the care givers provided. We used their services for a couple of weeks and we could be happier. It was a nice experience.

They have done fine so far. No major complaints. We are satisfied with the service.

They have been very good so far. I don't have any major complaints. They have been reliable and the people have been good and when we needed a replacement they got someone out who was just as good, and quickly too.

Overall, I feel that HomeWell did a good job for my loved ones. The people who came to the house seemed to do a really good job, and I know my loved ones needed the help. I definitely appreciated that the staff members did a little of everything from cooking and cleaning to general care of my loved ones

The senior care was good but needed someone to take more charge. Not always on time for the care needed. I would recommend Homewell, but would want another person if needed for care.

Working with this agency hasn't been the best. If your family decided to utilize services I highly suggest you make sure your caregiver s trained properly. Most of the training has been on the job. Our caregiver didn't appear to have much experience prior to her placement with my parent. Although her attendance has been excellent the services for the level of fee charged have not been commensurate. Thus I have been somewhat disappointed.

We tried Homewell for about 4-5 weeks. Staffing seemed to be an issue at times but they were open and willing to assist us during our time we used their services. The agency responded to any concerns I had and I’m grateful for that. Our family didn’t continue with the agency because my father was not open to strangers coming in his home. My father has Alzheimer’s and his needs are increasingly changing. My dad feels the most comfort with familiar family members. Because of my father’s illness we have decided it’s best to have family assist.

Everyone was very kind. Unfortunately, the turnover was pretty bad. Mom had a consistent caregiver then she was suddenly gone with no explanation. Then it was like a revolving door. We were told there would be no more than 2 different caregivers. I understand, but an explanation would have been nice. Also, the credit card fee is a little steep and was never communicated to us. Switching to a bank account (which would have been my preference anyway) wasn't given as an option but I had to dig around to find how to do that. Wasn't made easily visible.

[name removed] was great, would use her again, one other was hard to communicate with, she was very quiet. The first caregiver seemed to be in a hurry and not interested in her job. Overall experience would be a 3.5

We had a good interview with his home care agency. The person that came to interview us was kind, and informative. It was a nice experience.

Things with Homewell Senior Care have been ok. Not great, not terrible, just ok. They had one person come out who soon later quit. There are also certain things I would like for them to be able to do that they are not, such as assist with my mothers feeding tube, and assist with moving her occasionally from one place to another. They say that in order to do that I would have to pay for two people to be there, but I can't afford that. So I am thankful to have them, but there is definitely some room for improvement in my opinion.

We had an issue with one of the care givers where she left her son to take care of the patient and left. As soon as we figured this out I contacted the office and they immediately terminated the individual; however, even other care givers did not do much for the patient, (ie. make him move around, eat, drink). They would be on their phones, etc. The office did give us an adjustment on the bill for the days that the individual who left worked. I understand that background checks are done, but I wonder what kind of experience the individuals have that are hired. Unfortunately, this is an area where there’s a huge turnover and getting quality help is rough. The owner and the office and management staff were wonderful and there were some good aides. It’s just unfortunate. The problem is a business like this is only as good as the people that are hired it doesn’t matter how good management is.

I was not happy with this service for getting care at home with my father's needs. The service sent out caregivers that were not able to assist us. The staff management was nice, but this is not what we needed. We would not recommend this service to others. I would suggest that they get all the questions answered before they decide to use this service for

I was shocked with how the care end for us. I was promised the world for the care that would be provided. In one scenarios, the caregiver offered lunch but it was declined. Afterward the meal was not encourage to be eaten instead rather to just sleep on the couch. The caregiver was seen sitting with her phone.

Came into house and nurse was asleep at kitchen table. Wife was in bath room on toilet needing help. That was our last day with them.

Many important things are touted on the website that don't happen once you sign up. Owner is non responsive to calls or texts. There was NO active care management, active basic or customized care plans, no follow up with issues or active coordination with any other health care providers. Little to no training of caregivers for help with activities of daily living, medication assistance, or medical conditions like dementia or a severe disability, etc. Website says, "We deeply understand your concern for safety and security." Not sure how that can happen when there is no active involvement from management and no coordination of the caregivers duties and changing needs of the client for consistency of care. The caregivers were left to figure out their own systems for care delivery and communication which, depending on the caregiver on duty, left it fractionated and at times severely lacking. I would never recommend this company to anyone. 1 star only for some of the caregivers

Horrible experience. Inconsistent caregivers, the billing was incorrect more times than correct. The billing department was rude. We didn’t get the quality of Caregiving for which we were paying. Save your money and go with a different provider.

I was very impressed initially with this company. Their services seemed to exceed expectations. That said, I unexpectedly lost my job before services began. I had to cancel and was still charged an early termination fee. I would have thought they would have been more understanding under the circumstances.
