The nurses and aids are very friendly, kind and attentive. However, it was not a social environment at all...monthly activities calendar was consistently late, activities got cancelled or were uninteresting and it did not inspire residents to be active...it really lacked of energy and participation. In addition, my mom sometimes asked for help from more experienced medical staff or managers and response times were slow and required much follow up. When my mom had to leave out of state for medical care but was still paying, her apartment was not cleaned the entire time she was gone, nor ready for her upon her return. Now that we have a basis for comparison for where she is now, Northrise has some work to do. And perhaps over the last year they have. This was our experience while she was there and I cannot speak to its present operation. But would I say is they did not deliver on what they advertised.

The legacy staff is great, but I moved my mother out because I was concerned about her safety. It seems like the newer staff (perhaps temp/contractors?) often are not good at all, and are negligent in their treatment of residents. There is a lot of turnover at all levels. Many of the "amenities" listed on this page are not really available.

We were not impressed by Granite Ledges of Concord from the moment that we walked in for our tour. We did not get that warm and friendly vibe. They had half the staff availability that other places we looked at had. It was just all in all a totally different vibe than we wanted.

Perhaps our experience was the result of COVID-19 but we feel compelled to share it as someone needs to improve things. We will stick to facts and they are as follows: Our parents catheter was not closed properly and was leaking all over the floor and shoes. During one visit I noticed that my parents hands, clothing and wheelchair had feces on them. Another time when we visited there was blood on the floor next to our parents bed. on several occasions when I toileted my parent I noticed that the brief was soiled. The room was not clean and the heating cover was constantly falling off on the floor. My parent came home with a major urinary tract infection. During another stay at The Keene Center my parent came home with C-DIFF and a almost near death bowel blockage. I am sharing this so others will be aware of this and hopefully something will change.

I thought the people there were lovely - they were very nice. And I did like the fact they had a locked down unit. However, the place was rundown, dirty, and grimy. I just couldn’t get past the stained carpets and state of disrepair. I understand possible challenges in getting workmen in for repairs during Covid, but it just was not clean. And I wouldn't want to place my mom or myself there.

This place is not well maintained and marketing manager was not very knowledgeable.

My mother is actually back home because of a certain incident, but while she was at there it was okay. The staff from what I saw seemed nice. They had a lot of activities available and the food was good, it was actually one of the highlights of the place. The community was also kept clean.

Very nice meeting with Danielle, she is very knowledgeable and friendly. As for the facility, it is very clean however, it does need painting, new flooring and something done about the musty smell and lack of light. I found the people to be friendly, I am concerned about staffing levels. The cost is definitely very high for the environment and I would hesitate to place my loved ones or friends there.

Not what I want for my mom; more clinical than home-like. If or as her care needs changed, she would have to be moved around. Not interested.Also, I walked around in a building for 15 min without crossing paths with a single staff member.

I toured Lehigh Commons and I didn't really care for it. It was reasonable, but I don't think my mom would've been happy there. The rooms were old and when I came in, the staff didn't exude a friendly vibe. The one who conducted my tour was nice, but she made a comment about wearing masks that rubbed me the wrong way. She mentioned that when the mask mandate was required, she didn't enforce it within the community because, "The residents wanted to see our smiling faces, and we want to see theirs". When she said that, I instantly wanted to leave.

The apartments (size, aesthetics, etc.) themselves are large, full of light and in "like-new" condition. And large. The professional staff is less than empathetic (but rather condescending to residents. The maintenance personnel are not responsive and difficult to deal with. Quite the chip on their shoulders. The most "professional" staff members are the folks who clean the apartments. Food is important in these places and the meals at this place are less than adequate. Constant kitchen and service turnover has caused problems in this area. A real disappointment. Management is not willing to accept ideas, recommendation or ideas...very set in their ways. They seem mostly interested in squeezing money out of the residents. The nursing staff, not so great unfortunately.

We did not have a pleasant experience with the care provided to our mother. Definitely would not recommend! Highgate was not clean & the odor was horrific on the MC floor. My mom was constantly 'wet' to the point of over-flowing in her chair, bed, etc. numerous times. The staff would just 'park' everyone in the TV room (which was unbearable to be in because of the smell) Honestly it was very depressing there & we couldn't wait to move my mom out! The office staff seemed good (at 1st!) but besides that I hv nothing positive to say unfortunately

It is very unorganized, the AC and heater unit breaks all the time, the staff turns over often and the care is not great. It is hard to reach anyone on the phone due to the staff shortage. It is very hard to communicate with the facility. Our loved ones room is not cleaned as often as it should be. The laundry could be improved.

My mother lives here, and there have been some very serious incidents that have happened to her. She is on oxygen and we've lost count of the number of times that staff have allowed her oxygen tanks to run out or otherwise interrupt her flow of oxygen. She has been given the wrong medication several times. There are almost daily staffing shortages. Residents are promised two showers per week, but sometimes she does not receive both showers, or else she has to wait longer than promised for the showers to be given. There are some excellent staff working here, but unfortunately, some of them are mean and unprofessional. On a better note, my mom loves the food in the facility.

When it comes to the cleanliness, the staff put their feet up on the dining room tables. The lady at the front desk was very friendly but a lot of the staff was very hard to understand. We gave the activities a 1 because we never saw any activities gong on. I understand care is expensive, but all these nursing home I feel are crazy expensive, when you get old and have to go to a nursing home it shouldn't drain one's pockets and family members pockets. Then when you are have to purchase items over and over again, that's another cost. I feel very guilty about having to put my loved one in a home, but I really thought that they would be well cared for there and I don't feel that my loved one was.

We toured Hilltop at Glenwood during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. I would rate our tour/this facility at a LOW one. The facility is very run down and has very few residents.

My loved one was there a little over a year....I pulled her out to stay with me. (HER child). MUTUALLY AGREED) NOTE: MY EXPERIENCE - IT WAS RARE TO GET A RESIDENT TO LEAVE ONCE IN A GOOD ESTABLISHMENT. My mother was put on nerve pills WITHOUT even notifying me, her son and POA Durable. It was obvious her first visit afterwards my mother not wanting to return twice. She told them why she was so nervous and anxiety stricken......she missed her son. They had no compassion for a person they supposedly cared for to care for. [removed] I WAS given the option in August of picking up my loved one and return my 93 year old mother in the [name removed] FUNERAL HOME Parking Lot!! Is that not sick to any reader? And my loved one still respected the Manager. No one should be punished that way...soulless, my opinion.

I felt that I was not greeted well at this community and the people were not very friendly. They did not listen to my needs.

Father was sent here for rehab. On the first day he got here I had to go look for some one to give him his meds and to set up his vac system. Then he never got dinner. We had to got out and get him food . Any time he needed a nurse they all would be standing around talking and would tell my family they would be right there . 1 1/2 hr later they would show up and acted like he was asking for there first born .

Not a place for someone need help on living.
