Gardens Memory Care

I would tell others to check out the community for memory care needs. This would be my number 1 on my list to check out. [Name Removed] and the program was told to me was amazing. They are 100% dedicated memory care.

Our loved one is content here, and that makes us happy. We are very happy with the community. The staff has been very nice to speak with. They are willing to assist our loved one with phone calls from family.

It is a very nice community. The friendliness and the cleanliness of the community stand out to me. The communication between the staff and family is fine. They are allowing visitors by appointment to see your loved one.

The community doesn't have any smells and you don't smell cleaning products or anything. My loved one needed some additional assistance and they weren't afraid to work with hospice or call them. I have no problem recommended the community to others. The same staff stays within the same part of the community, this allows the residents to get to know the staff members. The staff are very quick to handle any concerns and keep the families updated with any changes.

We virtually toured this community and it was very nice. The tour was good, the staff was very friendly, and they provided lots of great information.

I was very impressed by Ponte Vedra Gardens. Not only is the facility very nice, but the staff I spoke with was very cordial and welcoming. The accommodations were quite lovely with several areas that residents can use. The outside courtyard was spacious and provided a sense of serenity. I had a feeling that the staff cares deeply about the residents. I am definitely considering Ponte Vedra Gardens for my husband.

We chose Ortega Gardens because it specializes in memory care and from what I know, it is the best place for someone with memory care issues. From our video calls, the room sizes seem good. They have been very good with communication and keeping families informed since we cannot go inside. For memory care, it is a better alternative to a nursing home. I would recommend them.

We chose Mount Pleasant Gardens because I felt that the program would suit my mom the best. I felt the way they cycled their activities every 2 hours would keep her engaged. It is also a smaller community which is something that we wanted. The administrator really truly cared and I was thoroughly impressed. I would not have been able to design a team of staff members better myself. I would highly recommend them to others families who are looking.

There are not enough words to express what a heaven-sent Ortega Gardens has been for my parents and me! Both of my parents have been residents there for the past year and are doing beautifully in their new home. I couldn't ask for a more lovely and loving place for them. Dad has Alzheimer's and Mom has moderate cognitive impairment, the result of several mini-strokes (TIAs). When Dad began to wander, home-care was no longer an option for him. I researched several memory care facilities in the Jacksonville area. Ortega Gardens was by far the best, an absolute answer to my prayers. Dad had no adjustment problems at all because his care team made him feel so special. Mom declined quickly when Dad left home, so she joined him soon after. They moved into a spacious 2 bedroom suite together and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary right before COVID-19 forced the facility to lockdown. I'm grateful that they are safe and together surrounded by such loving, caring people.

As [name removed] begins her fourth year as a resident, I would like to, again, thank you for the care and friendships that she has found with your staff. We were visiting from California when [name removed] took a turn for the worse. Returning would have been problematic, so we were referred to a number of options in Jacksonville. At that time, San Jose Gardens was Arbor, who exhibited the sensitive understanding of our situation. The staff immediately befriending us and undertook the care that would continue as [name removed] accepted her new home. Cleanliness, nutrition, classes, and family events have been San Jose Gardens reputation. I have had a comfort level, as staff notifies me of any changes, concerns, observations, or suggestions regarding her care. I am continually grateful and do not hesitate to recommend San Jose Gardens to any prospective resident.

If you are looking for a top notch special care unit look no more than San Jose Gardens. I have had experience with other special care centers for other family members and San Jose Gardens staff have far exceeded my expectations and past experiences. Everyone goes that extra mile to make sure that the residents are well cared in a safe and comfortable environment. I can not recommend this care center highly enough for the work that they do, especially during these trying times during the pandemic where their protocols have kept the residents physical safe from COVID-19. It is an extremely emotional and difficult decision where to place a loved one, suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia, who can no longer be cared for safely at home. The highly trained professionals at San Jose Gardens can help you with this process. I know from experience that I will always be grateful to them for helping my family when we needed them most and did not know who to turn to.

My wife has been a resident of San Jose Gardens for several years and I could not be happier with her care there. Because this beautiful facility is Memory Care ONLY, the staff is well trained in Memory care issues. There is no interchanging of staff between Assisted Living and Memory care. In addition, this facility is led by an administrator who is also an R.N., who is the most competent, compassionate, and “hands on” Director one could every hope for. I would not hesitate to recommend San Jose Gardens to any resident in need of top notch Memory Care.

Ponte Vedra Gardens is a wonderful community whose staff are so nice and caring. Mother is being cared for and she is thriving. Since the onset of dementia, she has had her days where she is just not right. They understand and are able to soothe her and she is happy, which makes me happy. The facility is beautiful, reminding me of a top hotel. Their activities engage and entertain Mother so she doesn't get bored or lonesome. She actually has fun and when I visit, she is smiling and happy to see me. I cant stress the cleanliness of the building and the great people who work there taking care of Mother. I will be forever grateful.

Ponte Vedra Gardens offers exceptional Memory Care programming for their residents. Smiles and staff engagement are always present with a very friendly and professional management team. Clean, bright and well planned around a beautiful courtyard. Family has peace of mind knowing the care is second to none. Great choice for your loved one!

San Jose Gardens has activities like inside bowling, bingo. The residents get to make flower arrangements. They have arts and crafts as well as shared yoga classes. The building on the outside and inside looks amazing, even the inside of the rooms. The food is good, its well prepared. They are pretty accommodating to each and every resident. One thing that really stood out to us about this community was the staff. They all were super friendly, very accommodating and very informative. They all are very specialized in the specific care my loved one needed.

We chose this community because of the homey feeling. We also like that the residents all have the same diagnosis. They have more freedom here and it does not seem so institutionalized. they have a courtyard that they can go out and visit whenever they want. The room sizes are great, my mother in law has a corner room so its a little more spacious, but all the rooms seem to have great storage. The food was good, she does not complain so she seems happy with it. Our favorite part about this facility in general is that we know she is safe. I told her I would not put her anyplace that I wouldn't go and I would move in here in a minute. It is great for peace of mind. I have recommend this community.

We visited several places and actually deposited in a another community, but our first impression was the Ponte Vedra Gardens felt more intimate, homelike, and natural. The building is designed in a square with an inner courtyard for the residents to flow inside and outside naturally. The activities offered are continual. My sister in law is enjoying floral arranging and has actually made friends. On the day we arrived to move her in, the staff greeted her by name and told her "it's so great to meet you", which made her feel so welcome and made us feel great about our decision on this community. The food is well thought out and healthy. The building is very clean and the staff are friendly. They communication is good and they send us pictures of her doing activities which gives us great comfort.

We placed my wife's sister in Ponte Vedra Gardens recently, having moved her to Florida from Hawaii. She adapted quickly, and now has some friends to share conversation, something she did not have living alone in Hawaii. The staff sends us pictures of her occasionally, and reports on how she is doing. All staff have been professional, caring, and helpful. I know of no complaints. I like the size of the facility, (small and intimate), and the activities provided to the residents.

The workers are so compassionate and seem to love each and every resident. They give excellent care!
