Five Star Senior Living

This was our first choice but we couldn't get my mother in and things got to the point where we had to find something for her so we chose another community. My sister and I were impressed with them. We liked the fact that they were a smaller facility. It's really home-like. It was a place that we could visualize our mother sitting in the recliner and watching television with the other residents. The people there are very, very helpful and quite knowledgeable.

Overall: 4.5/5. Proximity, attractiveness of facility, availability, and appropriateness for his needs. Very attentive, responsive, everything we asked for. The way they treat our uncle is very appropriate to his needs. It's certainly not cheap but they do a wonderful job. They offer a very comprehensive range of services as well as activities appropriate to their abilities and interests, without being in your face about.

This is the most heart wrenching decision you will have to make. I toured 10 different facilities! All 5 star facilities or so they said. Legacy Heights stood out from the beginning. When you walk in the front door, it just oozes cozy, warmth, safety, and home. I had a scheduled tour and then I "stopped" in for an unscheduled visit. They were exactly the same! I felt secure that LH would do as they promise in their tour. The tour was not a "fluff" scene, In total I was there for 2 1/2 hours. I stayed for 1 1/2 hours the first time and an hour the second time. I know my aunt is safe here. I KNOW it. She will be engaged and not sat in a room or a chair until the next med's are due, or meal is ready. She will addressed as a person and with compassion. This is the place for your family loved one too. This is as close to home as we can give them and keep them safe.

The apartment is spacious and well designed for my dad. He is also definitely eating better since moving to The Remington.

Overall experience adequate. Additional driver for outside activities would be a plus. Food prep could be more consistent.

We placed a not-very-close relative there in memory care. Everybody we’ve seen is nice, it seems clean, and they have good activities. Food seems good. Cheerful decor. We recently had to take him for a doctor appointment where he needed 24 hour prep. They helped him prep and had him ready for pickup.

Most of the staff are very friendly. Have only had a couple issues and they were addressed and for the most part fixed promptly. I would recommend them to others who are currently searching for a place for their loved one.

What we like the most about Brandon Woods are the people and the activities. What we think they could improve on would be to have more rails for the residents to hold on to. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

The staff have been very nice. Menus have been carb heavy and are apparently set by someone other than the local folks, but things are usually tasty. Often need seasoning, though. There are plenty of activities but I'm very choosy.

The staff is very friendly, I like that there's a wellness center and a doctor who comes onsite. I heard they just switched ownership so I'm not sure what's to come. Hopefully the quality continues. I would definitely recommend 5 Star.

The property itself is quite sleepy. The entire place could use a cherry paint job and some updating in the outer buildings. It took over a year for them to repair an elevator. The reason why we chose this place was because of the staff and the people there. My mother has been quite happy.

The price was right the vibe was nice but the administrative staff was terrible to me and to their employees

I have only been here a short while but I gave been made to feel welcome by staff and fellow residents. I have been busy with my church and a handicapped brother who doesn't live with me, but I do my best to keep informed with building activities which I find interesting as well as entertaining.

Staff is very helpful. Room are clean.

The staff is nice. No improvement and yes, we would recommend The Horizon Club to other families based on the experience so far.

We love it here at Talbot. Some rooms need updating because of age but new carpets, painting and stainless appliances was good. They are working to refurbishing everything. New owners and management are coming in October first. Sinceri will be taking over. All other numbers are five. The friendliness and activities are fantastic. The parking garage, pool and large rooms are a plus.

The staff was not able to find my brother a room that he is in only temporarily. The original room was given to someone else. Other than that the staff is very nice and tries to be accommodating.

I really have to say I am very pleased and the only reason I gave it a rating of a four is because no one is perfect. They could use a little more help in the food . Also, I'm sure they have a hard time with help but all in all I love it. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I find the staff pretty wonderful. I mean they do have some per diem people so you don't get to know them but from what I've met of the staff so far, they are also kind and they really end up knowing your name your family members name I feel very comfortable with them Even the waitresses in the dining area are so caring and actually remember what people like and what they don't like which to me means that they care.

My uncle was At The Palms for three months. They assessed him before he moved in in his care needs went up significantly while he was there. He has now moved into another facility that can provide a higher level of care. The staff was great, especially [name removed]. She was amazing and very caring with my uncle. Thank you.

Everyone is very welcoming there and they have lots of wonderful activities to keep the residence entertained. I would recommend it
