Elderwood Administrative Services

I looked at some other facilities and I liked Elderwood because everyone was nice and happy to show me around. It is also a smaller facility which fit what I was looking for. The room sizes here are very nice and spacious. The activities are outstanding, they have so much to offer. For the shortage of help, they are doing a fantastic job. I would recommend them to others and already have.

The admissions was very attentive and answered all of our questions. They allowed an enhanced living situation to assist with the care of my loved one. They did a great job at welcoming my loved one in to the community.

We chose Elderwood Village because it is a beautiful facility and they were able to meet her needs. The location is also close to our home. The staff are very transparent and we really appreciate that. I would definitely recommend to other families looking.

I haven't found a better place around. If anybody wanted to go to a place for assisted living, I would highly recommend Elderwood Village at Colonie. It's so easy to get along with everybody there. The food looks delicious. They always have stuff going on. They have a big white board where my loved one can see what's going on every day. And if she's hesitant to participate, the caregivers will say "Come on, let's go try this!" It's the best bang for the buck you can possibly find. We visit about twice a week, and it's very peasant there. There's nothing I can say that's wrong with the place. The only thing that would make the whole thing easier is if I didn't have to fill out the Covid slips when I go in to visit. But I understand the need for them, and I very much appreciate that they're keeping everybody safe.

During the time our loved one was there, we liked how it was a smaller environment. Our loved one got really good one on one time with our loved one. The people were very kind and caring and very understanding. They worked very well with our mother while she was there.

They did a great job managing all the questions and also figuring out the right funding algorithm for my loved one to be there. They made it very simple to move in. And I gave them some challenges. My mother loves it now. She was very against it before moving in, and she had a really difficult time adjusting. But now she's very interested and enjoying herself. Shel likes the layout of her apartment, and she has a patio she enjoys. She also likes the large bathrooms. They come and clean on Thursdays, and she thinks that's amazing . It's just very quiet and comfortable and safe. And that's taken a big load off of her mind.

We chose this facility because they offered to pick my aunt up at the airport and are very willing to help in any way that they possibly can. She has been very happy and she has no complaints. They have been so helpful especially with me being distant and her needing extra assistance. They are still coming out of covid so all activities are not open, but I know they will start to open up as things relax more. She says that the food is fantastic and she really enjoys it. I would recommend to others.

The staff members would be a 10 they were outstanding and the care services were terrific. They were always keeping in touch with us making us aware of everything going on. They would send out constant emails of things they were trying to do, and they did their best with the activities. We were very pleased with them they took very good care of our loved one.

The staff does a great job and is very energetic. They would list what activities could be done in your room and they would give them a package the next morning. The community had a good plan for covid and kept the residence safe. The community had a barber and a little general store you could buy from. I would recommend this community to others.

I would tell others that the community had been helpful. My loved one has been there about a year, and enjoys it. The friendliest of the staff is a standout to me. Most of the time my loved one gets help, there are occasions where they have to call the nurses back in. The activities are limited due to the pandemic. There are some meals that my loved one doesn't care for; however, for the most part the food is decent.

From what we can see of the community it is very clean. Our loved one really is enjoying the meals and they are starting to bring back the activities they originally had. They have a board that lists the activities, and our loved one is really happy there.

The staff is very compassionate to the residence and the family. Their communication is very good between the staff and the families they keep us well informed and call back quickly. The community is always busy with something going on. I would recommend this community to others

We chose Elderwood Village at Colonie because of the cleanliness of the facility and for what it provided. They do provide a lot of activities for the residents. The rooms were nice size and it is all on one floor. They have great with communication, they send us a weekly letter and if anything happens they immediately call us. I would absolutely recommend them.

We have not been able to experience all elder wood can offer, but so far they have had lots to do for the residence. The communication with the families has been very good including updates on any covid changes via voicemail. I would definitely recommend this community to others

This facility is covid free and have has had a great plan to protect the residence. They have 2 room sizes and we went with the bigger, and the grounds are kept nice and clean. I would recommend this community.

The community has been very good for my mom, they take good care of her. I looked into several facilities and this one was the best by far. they offer several room sizes and my mom is happy with the room. They are starting renovations that will include walk-in showers. I would definitely recommend this facility

We thought this community was very good, it was kept very clean. The staff members there are exceptional. The value is good as well. Our loved one was only there for a month, and during that time the care services were very adequate. They offered plenty of activities which included various religious classes and exercise classes. The food they served was very good, the overall ambiance of the dining room was great. Our loved ones room was very adequate.

We chose this community because of the director, he went above and beyond in helping to facilitate my mom being moved from one location to another. it is a welcoming place, very bright, open, and friendly. The room sizes are on average compared to other facilities we saw. They had additional closet space and bathroom that are very generous. My mom LOVES the food here. They have a menu with a big variety of foods, all the foods are fresher and its made right in front of you. My favorite part about the facility would be the staff members. They are all unbelievably nice. They are able to do a lot of fun activities even since COVID. They have not had any cases of COVID. The director has conference calls every Tuesday and Thursday ever since COVID started so we get updates on the state as well as what is happening inside the facility and how everyone is doing. They also have set up zoom if you want to visit with you loved ones as well as window visits and drive by parades while the residents sit outside. Communication has been amazing, they are very receptive and answer quickly. I would highly recommend Elderwood Village at Fairpoint.

I have always seen the community clean and there has been no problems. The staff is very good. The nurses do a good job of communicating with us about our loved one's care. If there is anything my aunt needs, they make sure to give us a call. They have had a lot of activities in the past and frequently post them online. The price is not cheap but it seems fair given the level of care.
