I am looking for a place for my parents and went on a tour. I think this is one of the lower cost facilities, and it was one of the first places I looked. It was a small place, only 28 residents and the staff seemed very caring - there was a family atmosphere. There needs to be some updating as the apartments looked like a mish-mash of furniture that people had left behind, and looked very tatty, and I could see things that needed repair. There is no pool, but they do have a gazebo outside with grill and tables. There are not much grounds to speak of and could use some landscaping. It is right against the I-95 wall so lots of road noise. They had car service and seemed to try hard to accommodate the individual needs of residents. If you can afford more I would keep looking but if you are stuck within a budget I would consider it, but certainly visit and make sure you drill down on the details.

The overall experience was not as anticipated.

We had a very bad experience, Mom is back home they didn't have good care the place smells horrible!

They did not provide the care promised. The staffing of the aides was poorly managed with many turnovers. They failed to inform the caretakers of conditions of their patients. In memory care activities were nonexistent. I was thoroughly angered by the treatment given.

This place is the worse! RUN RUN RUN. They would even tell me if my mother pasted. The staff was so snotty Monday morning when I called. It’s not clean because they don’t care. My mother grew up in cold spring. I expected more from the people she lived with most of her life. STAY AWAY!!!

I toured this warehouse for the elderly and left feeling so depressed. Everyone looked drugged, there were no scheduled activities and the owner, was creepy and apathetic. Run from this place. BTW, I did call the State and found that there were complaints regarding lack of activities. I totally agree with the other negative review. All this owner cares about is the almighty dollar. I hope he gets his due karma.

My grandma was in this place. She is now passed on. I have been getting the run around about getting her stuff. It has been over a month and a half now. No calls back and the staff when they do give you different stories all the time. As a nurse I would never treat someone who just lost a love one like this. Absolutely disrespectful.

We have tried for several days to call this facility to make an appointment. THE PHONE NUMBERS ARE ALWAYS BUSY [removed], [removed]. WOULD BE AFRAID TO PUT A LOVED ON OR ANYONE IN A PLACE THAT YOU CAN'T GET A HOLD OF.

I was just not happy with management. I would not recommend the Banyan Place. I rated the cleanliness one star because it was under construction. They could improve on their friendliness, care services, and activities. The only good thing about the Banyan Place was the value. I rate the value four stars because it was a decent price. Other than that, I was not happy. Overall, I was not pleased with the Banyan Place.

I showed up for an appointment about 10-15 early, waited 30 minutes before finally leaving. When I walked in, there was nobody sitting at the desk, residents were walking in and out the front door without anyone noticing. It wasn't as clean as it should have been. The TV was on loud, residents were just sitting around not doing much. Disappointing. Not a place I want my grandfather staying.

Do not be fooled by the new look. When I moved Mom into Banyan Place of Boca Raton, I thought we had found a well run assisted living that could meet her needs. We quickly found out that there is no continuity of care due to constant turnover. The staff seemed untrained, unsupervised and unprepared to give the level of care needed by many residents. After several incidents of what we considered abusive behavior, I removed Mom at once. Owner/Manager [name removed], is an uncaring, ill tempered and compassionless human being. They say the fish rots from the head and in this facility there is no doubt that [name removed] fits that bill. I would advise that you do not subject your loved one to this terrible facility.

Very Nasty management and staff. [removed] The so call director does not speak English and can't translate the needs and concerns of the family. The people they hire are mostly Spanish with not a lot of previous training. They also have a high turnover rate with hha and nurses. People need a place where they get to know their workers. Also they have people giving med that are not trained to do so nor do they understand what the med reactions are. Please don't let the price fool you. [removed]
