We chose The Fountains Assisted Living because of the location, it was close by so I could see my parents often, and when we went to tour it was neat and clean and it looked like someones home. The rooms were very large for the price, so I got my moneys worth. I never stayed for dinner, but everything looked and smelled good and my parents never complained. The best part about the community is that the staff members seemed very friendly and they took great care of the residents, it was very home-like. I would want others to know that this is more of an assisted living facility rather than memory care. I had to provide a lot of extra care for my mothers dementia. The director was very helpful to help us find a place that could focus more on memory care.

[Name removed] provided a tour to us after hours. There were happy-seeming residents walking around and sitting outside and in. The facility was the cleanest and most up-to-date of the senior living options we toured. It is a stones throw from the Shaker Heights library, a grocery store, and many other opportunities for community outings. We only wish they accepted Medicaid.

My tour of The Woodlands was very short because we went at a time when there was no sales people or tour guides, so the staff did what they could. They seemed very nice but they did not follow up. Also, we had already really liked another community.

I had a nice tour of this community. Everything went well, and they were very kind to us. Everything I saw was nice. The community was nice and clean. It was a pleasant tour, but it was not the place for my father and his needs.

The Kindred Assisted Living the Fountains was not the right level of care that my husband needs at the time. The community itself was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The Woodlands of Shaker Heights is nice community with friendly staff. The place is nice and seems to be kept up very well. The place just did not have the level of care my husband needed, they went straight from assisted living into the memory care unit. Is a great community, just not what we needed at the moment.

Everything is working out very well for me, since my move to this community. I'am doing well, and I like it here. The staff is very kind and helpful. They are always smiling. This is a good, safe community. I'am all settled into this community, and I would recommend it to my friends and family. It is a nice place.

Ebony was wonderful. The corporate concept is very much in line with the way we think elder care should be administered.

The Fountains is a wonderful "New Home"! The atmosphere is so homey and makes you feel like you are sitting in a friends living room. The apartments are spacious and so very well kept. The Staff goes out of their way to get to know each resident and anticipates their every need and want. Susan the Activity Director is wonderful and plans fun activities geared for all. She also happily accepts and promotes suggestions for activities. The day excursions are a big hit! Bobby can fix or hang anything and also provide an ear to listen to a good story. He can also hold a hand! If you or a loved one needs a little assistance in life then the Fountains is the BEST place. Contact Ivy [removed] and she will make the transition easy, smooth, and most importantly welcoming! Two thumbs up for The Fountains in Lyndhurst!!!

There was an incident at Kindred Assisted Living the Fountain, my husband was having a rough time. He wandered in an area he shouldn't have. I feel like the staff should have been able to keep a better eye on him. Overall the experience was okay, I just think that incident could have been prevented.

A pleasant building, nice location by the Shaker Heights Library and Senior Center.

I chose 'The Woodlands of Shaker Heights' for my mother because its located in an area familiar to her, and I liked the smaller home-like atmosphere of the residence. I was correct and mom adjusted in a matter of a couple of months, which was no small accomplishment. The staff and attendants are very hospitable and accommodating. However, after one month they 're-assessed' her needs and raised the monthly rate. Thirty days after that they attempted to raise the rate again. It appears that I'm going to have to keep a close watch on their rate hikes in the future. Other than that, I am happy with the service that my mother is receiving.

We liked it here because the set up is different. Instead of having separate apartments, they have rooms, and a shared dining, and living room area. There are only about 13 residents here. It's very clean. My loved one doesn't complain about the food, and I have never tried it, but they did just get a new chef.

I WAS 3 DAYS BEFORE MY DAD WAS TO BE REMOVED FROM A REHAB .... TOO EITHER "ASSISTED LIVING vs A NURSING HOME. "A PLACE FOR MOM" JUMP RIGHT IN, BY IT BEING A HOLIDAY WEEK-END, HE WAS PLACE IN 4 DAY. THIS LOCATION IN WITHIN 4 MILES OF MY STEP-MOM!! THIS WAS A BLESSING!! YOU GUYS WERE THERE TO HELP SAVE THE DAY/MONEY!! THE WOODLANDS OF SHAKER HEIGHTS WORKED DILIGENTLY, ALSO!!

This is the place that I really Like and I think mama would adjust well here.

The apartments are spacious and clean and the community was homey and welcoming. The Administrative and Front Desk staff are wonderful and many of the staff members are extremely kind, gentle, caring and attentive. There are, unfortunately, a select few staff members in key positions that are snippy and rude which may be because the facility seems to be understaffed. Overall a good place.

The property itself is nice. They have a nice common area. The building itself is large however the rooms that I saw were small and gives off an impression of a college dorm. The interior of the community was very nice. The location was ok. Depending on what the extra pricing for additional care if needed.it may have put it out of my budget range. When I pushed the subject of add-on charges the response that I got was well it really depends on the level of care. There should be a little more transparency on additional cost in my opinion

Been here a couple of months and I love the Villa that they put me in and the people I am with. However, no activities to speak about, and the houses need painted on the inside and some updates, but I am pleased for the overall experience.

The quality of the aids/caretakers is very inconsistent - some are much better than others. Quality of the food is just ok.
