Christopher Heights an Assisted Living Community

After a year of trying to get assistance for my Mom to stay in her apartment. The lack of neglect from [facility name removed] and [facility name removed] was disgraceful. . The opportunity to move her here came up. She is very happy and loves it. They are making my life easier too. I can now enjoy time with Mom instead of stressing about her being cared for

My mother has been at Christopher Heights for almost 2 years and I feel so fortunate to have her in such a caring, competent, clean and active environment. I would recommend Christopher Heights without reservation. They are the best!

I helped a friend who resisted assisted living. They were so kind to her. The companions were wonderful. Two years after she passed I saw a few at a restaurant and they came up to me to say they missed her. I have already told my family if I need these services this is where I want to be.

Overall, we've had a very positive experience. Every staff member I've interacted with has been kind, friendly, and helpful. My mother-in-law has commented many times about how nice everyone is, which has made a big difference. The facility is always clean, and both of my in-laws say the food is good. One of the biggest advantages is the apartment size. We toured several facilities, and these were by far the largest apartments we saw. The only downside has been the parking. My father-in-law still drives, and the parking area is fairly small, which made it difficult for him at first. However, when the staff learned he was having trouble with his assigned space, they quickly moved him to a different parking spot that works much better. We've also never had any trouble finding street parking when we visit. Overall, we're very happy with the care, the staff, and the community.

The upfront costs are higher and they expect rent even after someone dies. I would still recommend them, it is a nice place overall.

Staff is dedicated. Facility is well-maintained and clean.

Staff is good but has to be more proactive in helping clients who are having issues of mobility this is a serious flaw. Food is very good and the activities are consistent.

From the first conversation to now, we have had a very good experience with Christopher heights! The facility is well kept, the food is delicious, and the team is friendly and accommodating. Very happy with our choice to be there.

I would definitely recommend Christopher Heights to everyone. It's a very nice facility and they take of their resident's. [name removed] bent over backwards to help us get into the facility and so far everyone has been very good

-The management was extremely helpful to me, especially with finances and room & dining placements. - The location just down the driveway, of Christopher House (which is the nursing home), is a definite plus and gives me peace of mind whenever that time comes for my loved one.

Goog clean facility food is excellent however the staff can be lazy with no regard for clients.I would recommend staff needs to be more attentive to the clients they need more rehabilitation services no gym activity no exercise other than 9 in the morning workers can be controlling and loud when speaking to clients

This is a very nice facility. My mom is friendly, but stubborn and has had a bit of a hard time adjusting to Assisted Living. The executive director [name removed] has been very nice and helpful. Maintenance has been great. They've been fairly responsive and quite nice overall here. I'd been told by a great resource at another facility that some places have an ambassador program. The program has a person that guides and helps new residents get settled. They don't seem to have that here and I wish they did. Mom could really benefit from having someone to guide her and make her feel comfortable. To me, it doesn't seem like she's broken in to the community yet. She was very reluctant to go into assisted living. She's not incredibly verbal and I know an ambassador would help a lot. The activities seem wonderful, but mom just doesn't engage and take advantage of them. I'm not sure if she's even alerted about things like activities. Overall, I would recommend them to friends and family.

The staff is very friendly and nice. The food isn't great, they try to be to fancy with their meals. My mother is a picky eater. She's lucky if she eats 4 meals a week. They say they have a Doctor, but he's not there all the time. They also have a nurse but not at night and on weekends. They have aids but they can't help anyone. If you don't need a lot of care it's ok.

The people are nice, but if you have more needs this is not the place for you. Food seems to be the biggest complaint.

This is a nicely appointed facility with excellent staff, but the food is absolutely horrible. They have gone thru many food staff, hired a nutritionist, have resident food meetings & there has been no improvement over the 5 yrs my mom has been there. Their meals are a n extremely important part of a senior’s day, so this is a huge disappointment for them. PLEASE, PLEASE check out the food before you sign your senior up for this resident,

I would recommend Christopher Heights, should your loved one not need many services. Activities are very repetitive with little to no imagination and the meals are also very repetitive with little to no imagination. There are a lot of "rules" which can be difficult to follow. A good example is breakfast is from 7:30 until 8:30,this can be difficult to achieve in older folks. This is due to staffing being used in the kitchen and then within the facility as service to the residents. Lastly, If your resident is a fall risk, you will need to purchase something like a Life Alert. This is because the facility does not have pushed buttons for the residents, There are simply two pullcords within the apartment.The facility does make an effort to check in on residents a number of times during the day.
