Bethesda Senior Living Communities

We toured Bethesda Gardens Fort Worth during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. This facility was clean and everyone was friendly. However, the facility atmosphere seemed kind of clinical. Our tour was thorough and we were given materials with helpful information. They also answered all of our questions.

I feel there is not enough staff to monitor people as needed, example- my moms remote for her tv keeps getting lost and we have her name on it, staff cannot find, I know that can be challenging but would think staff goes in rooms often and could keep looking but do not believe they do. Also, several times when visited floors and tables in dining area dirty, I just think they need more staff.

The staff are always very friendly and committed. The building is very clean and well maintained. Price seems good compared to other's. The only concern would be that it appears they sometimes entrust mom to take her medications and the doctor does not provide details about her care. Such as no access to results of bloodwork, etc.

When my loved one was ill, the staff were very responsive to our phone calls and also offered supportive and medical care to them. The staff are very friendly and caring.

Overall it's very nice, clean and well run. I think that there have been a few incidents that staff don't communicate and my mom was confused by staff coming into her unit for services not needed. But overall very recommended

This is a good community. I would recommend to make sure you tour the dining room. The food was delivered on paper plates, and they were delivered on time. The community could use some additional staff dining room. Autumn View Gardens was always clean when I visited. The grounds are well kept.

We do think the staff team really do try their best but we have had a couple issues here and there - for instance it takes a lot of different steps to get things done. Our loved one has not fully participated in the activities but from what we have seen they seem fine. The value is reasonable and we would recommend this community to other families.

It was very clean. They were doing some remodeling. The people were older, and very quiet. I wasn't impressed by the food.

Good community. It was too far from family.

The community had made promises and we haven't seen a lot of delivery of these promises. There is one staff member who responds immediately to the family's questions via text or calls and will even give us suggestions. Then other staff that won't respond to the family to assist us or our loved one with questions or concerns.

Mom really likes it there. A good thing about it that others might like as well is it's small. There are no elevators and no stairs. It's built in a square, so if she leaves her room and keeps going, eventually she'll end up back at her room, which is perfect for her because she likes to walk around but does get lost. So it's perfect for someone like that. All of the caretakers are very good to her. It's one of the more reasonably priced places we looked into. The food could be improved a little. But I like that the residents get a choice if they don't like what's on the main menu - they can always ask for something else, and the staff do a good job of accommodating requests. The dining staff themselves do a good job, it's just that the food could be better. But overall, I think we made a very good choice.

They do their best with what they have. Somedays the food is good, and sometimes it's not. The breakfast is good. The value for the money is pretty good. I picked this community, because It's close to my home.

So far, we're happy with Collinwood Assisted Living and Memory Care.

My mom is doing just great here; she seems to be enjoying it, considering it's assisted living and not her home. They seem very nice and so far I have no huge complaints. It's a laid-back, casual atmosphere. It's not regimented and I think that's good. There aren't a lot of rules, it's quiet, and it's good for my mom.

The best thing is they are friendly. I picked this place because of the location and they seemed to be good when we met. Also, the price was good, and I was happy about that.

Very nice facility, rooms were spacious and very clean.

It's a transition for all of us to go through, residents and families alike. But the staff are really nice. And as long as you can find a place with nice staff, you can work through anything else. The number one thing is we all want our parents to be happy and be in a place where they can feel special, appreciated, and loved. And that is the case for my loved one here at Bethesda Gardens.

It came down to a tie between Autumn View Gardens and another facility for us. We chose the other facility just due to the locaiton of it. We really liked Autumn View and thought it looked like a great place to have a loved one.

It is a comfortable and clean encouraging family atmosphere. The staff are always helpful and receptive when I call with any questions or concerns. They offer a variety of foods during meal times that my loved one enjoys. They offer a lot of activities including movies, etc.
